I like how either that Jenny was part of an organization actively searching for terrorists and she just happened to chance across them while on a random walk, or Meowth was so well known for his assassination that Jenny instantly recognized him, while the others (even Team Rocket) somehow didn't know about it at all.

In Gen 1, the “Pokémon World” was really implied to just be our world but with Pokémon. This was retconned later, but if they stuck to it can you imagine the insanity that could ensue? They wouldn’t do stuff like THIS in the anime but you have to recall they referenced the Bible, real places in America and Japan, history events, etc. imagine Gen 5 or 6 but it has real world political history also involved
