INSANELY Loud MK8 GTI Exhaust (Milltek Race Exhaust) // BMP Tuning

- Lots of people have been asking about this exhaust setup, and now that the car is back from paint we can finally share it with you all. Milltek has released a new cat back for the MK8 GTI and MK8 R. It is a super loud setup paired with the High-flow catted Downpipe, and is as close to a straightpipe as were going to get! At the end we compare Initial start up sounds between stock and our last setup with the track muffler, and the new Race setup!

Love the sound of the exhaust. Question for you, that rear spoiler. I know you sell it at your website, but due to the part I live in the UK I'll be overspending by a few hundreds UK pounds. Does it have a unique VW part number across the world?

How is this still running on the stock clutch? I thought the stock clutch was only rated to around 280 lb-ft. Have you not had any issues with slipping yet?
At our highest power setting we did see some slipping after a couple pulls on the dyno, but we turn it down a little once were off the dyno. New clutch goes in today though!

I just can’t get on board with those roof things. I guess if it’s Friday and your taking the fam camping for the weekend but that ish better off for the ride to work on Monday lol

What tune do you need to run for this can I use 93? Also for the down pipe what do I pick for the select cat option?
Tune wise we ran the Unitronic Stage 2 software, this paired with the Milltek HJS catalyst sounded great and made great power!
If I run a LARGE BORE DOWNPIPE AND HI-FLOW SPORTS CAT (FOR MILLTEK OPF-BACK) with the Miltek 80MM OPF/GPF BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM on my mk8 GTI will it throw up a check engine light or cause any issues without a tune?
it shouldnt, we have had no check engine lights due to exhaust changes so far
@@BMPTuning without a tune will the timing of the turbo be off because of th flow being higher causing a few turbo issues?
@@kershavenmoodley1188 We had no issues when running a DP on our car, however, we have had the JB4 with custom mapping installed since the DP was installed and have not run the DP on factory software.
You guy ever mess around with a TDI? Something about rolling coal down the street feels good. Love to see you guys build one.

What’s down pipe is loader? The race or the HJS?
Race is a lower cell count, so would more than likely be louder, however, you will get a CEL with that DP.

did you change the entire rear bumper or just the black plastic part?
We did the entire MK8 R rear bumper and Valance!

@@lznoblocks5367 Sadly it would have to be both, The Mk8 R rear valance doesn’t fit the GTI bumper😥

Did you have any check engine lights when adding the downpipe?
No check engine light I have 10k miles with Milteks catted Downpipe!

No CEL with the HJS downpipe from Milltek on ours - I would suggest that (can ship today, on our site) - but emissions varies state to state, in Texas this would pass.

How's your paint job lookin so good? Mines brand new and doesn't look that good.
A lot of our car (around 40%) was resprayed before SEMA - but not due to defects, we were just replacing things like skirts/bumpers/etc
where did you get the diffuser from to fit the quad tips?
Its an aerofabb competition Diffuser, but we had to modify the outstide mounting brackets for it to fit with this setup!
@@BMPTuning sorry I mean the one above it the gloss black diffuser that can fit the quad exhaust I have a mk8 gti myself and I can only fit one exhaust on each side and I was want to do a dual exhaust

@@Trippymk8 Nothing really, and most tunes wont even need it really, but Milltek has a REALLY nice DP that we have on ours!

How did u make it a quad?
We personally did the Golf R rear bumper, valance, and had an exhaust made custom for us from Milltek - but there is now a cheaper option to doing this that is available on our site!

@@jordanformosa2113 The MK8 R diffuser will not work on the MK8 GTI bumper, so we did exhaust, diffuser, valance, and bumper :O

So pretty much muffler delete? Haha i have a muffler delete to Y pipe and looks like this . Minus the downpipe
There is more that goes into it than that honestly, but yea its essentially straight pipe at this point.
