We have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to do some testing with Unitronic's new Stage 2 93 Octane beta file for the MK8 GTI and we are super excited to share these numbers with you guys!! Hands down the most wheel horsepower and torque this car has seen so far! Huge thanks again to @unitronic for letting us be a part of the testing phase.

As a mk7.5 eqt stage 1 GTI owner. I'm loving how the new mk8s are in another league. Keeping the GTI tradition going. And I thought my stage 1 was quick. Sheesh
I’ve seen the is20 make this kind of power, but it wasn’t on 93. I’ve seen the stage 1 e85 tune from unitronic making 350whp with no bolt ons iirc, I can’t wait to see their stage 2 e85 tune.
Love your channel and great video! I have one small suggestion for you guys for what it’s worth. While I understand and appreciate the live shop testing in your videos, it would be easier to hear additional dialogue if you could cut to a location with a quieter background when you discuss your results. You guys rock and your videos are excellent so please know I’m not trying to be critical. I am working on a serious build for my MK8 so I really value your feedback and testing evaluations but have trouble hearing what you’re saying due to background noise. 😂

Oooof, sounds so good. I'm waiting for you guys to drop the downpipe, then i'm going grab everything lol. My mk75 was all uni, so naturally, the mk8 will be all uni as well.

Damn, the MK8 is a step ahead of the Mk7 in all stages.
I.e. MK8 stage 1 = MK7 stage 2
Same thing that happened from mk6 to 7 and from 5 to 6, every Gen is slightly better

I was humiliated in my MK7 R DSG stage 1 APR TCU stage 1 low torque from a roll 30mph by me son's MK8 GTi S DSG stage 1 Unitronic with no TCu tune..not yet . We are waiting patiently.
Its coming!! They are working pretty much non stop on it :D
I’m not surprised, similar power with the R having a weight penalty and more losses from the awd system even if it’s not powering all 4 wheels
Iam running the 034 93 octane low torque tune, not sure what the numbers are but it improved my gas mileage lol Your number don't match theirs at 5:58 in this video, their car was completely stock. I guess some us will continue to wait for the TCU tune on newer made cars

What issues did the car have when it dynoed at 410TQ instead of the 437TQ the second time?
The car was pulling timing due to some bad gas/plugs (not sure which but filled up with fresh 93 and swapped plugs and issue gone)

Does this stage 2 software disable the CEL that’s activated from most downpipes?
Milltek's HJS DP and Unitronics GESI DP do not cause a CEL - no software that we are aware of currently disable any emissions systems.
When it says w/downpipe is that catless, high flow, or stock?
with a high flow Milltek downpipe to be specific!

How did you get 4 exhaust tips?
We had Milltek make us a rear section that worked for the R rear - on our site we have a Milltek/Maxton combo that allows you to run quad tip on the GTI :D
Can someone educate a fellow enthusiast here? Full Bolt Ons, for this build, this includes TURBO? or is it downpipe and back, then intake, intercooler and others? Thnks fam

A little late but does this have the tcu tune and do you need it? Bc I know some box codes are locked now
this car is a manual! But yes it would be recommended at this power level
@@BMPTuning oh cause mine is tuned 034 stage 1 for now with Just an intake about to go stage 2 and I was wondering if I needed the tcu because I heard their still locked lol
So are Gen 4 torque figures still are to be under 450 or this engine actually can handle a lil more?

This might be a stupid question but if you tune can you no longer run lower grade fuel or does it adjust
@Tom if you run flex you can run whatever fuel you want. Let's say you get a 93 tune. You cannot run any grade under 93.

Milltek! We have their Downpipe and race catback! Let us know if you’re interested in the same setup!!
Seems like it’s more peaky on the first half of the RPM range. MK7 GTI fell off on top but the MK8 really looks like it falls off, especially torque.
BETA files are always going to be different, but the curve feels really really nice in the MK8s

@@faizalej3324 ignition on, hazard lights on, press the gas pedal 5 times, and it should show all the traction control and ABS lights on the dash!
Stock clutch ? if not , what brand and stage !?

Yes sir, with TCU tune you should be fine!
@@BMPTuning the DQ381 can handle a lot of power
Of course it can handle the power. It will probably limit torque or not feel as good on the stock tcu tune, but it can certainly handle it even on the stock tcu tune.
Those straps are gonna break
They handle 2000+hp cars all day long. I’m sure it’ll be ok :)
