- LET'S GET DRESSED IN REGENCY FASHION// Happy Tuesday, Today we share our exciting visit to Bath where we travelled to get into the mood for a Jane Austen Festival in Hampshire this month. We're getting dressed in Regency fashion for the first time! The amazing team at at Bath Theatrical Costume Hire showed us what costuming we need to look like a Regency Gentleman and a Regency Lady. We had so much fun and felt like Jane Austen characters! I especially love the Regency dresses with their empire waist.
Bath (our favourite city!) with its elegant Regency architecture is simply the perfect place. While being there we visited several Bridgerton filming locations that we think you might enjoy as well! We so hope you will like the video. Kirsten & Joerg xx

Oh this is really my cup of tea. The costumes are wonderful. I could stay there forever. So much too see and learn the sewing techniques so different from today's industry. I look forward to your regency festival. I am excited already. Thanks for showing this. Wie schön Bath zu sehen, dass ich vor über 30 Jahren besucht habe.
Ich liebe dieses hübsche und historische Städtchen. 💗
Und dann noch die Möglichkeit Regencykleider zu tragen....ich glaube in solcher Kleidung fühlt man sich wahrscheinlich besonders damenhaft, und bewegt sich auch anders.

Bath ist einfach immer wieder so schön, wir lieben es dort! Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht, die Kleider anzuprobieren.

Oh the only word for this is FABULOUS!!! First, you went to our most loved city Bath and ate at SALLY LUNN'S where we spent such a lovely time with a British friend. Your walk around Bath brought back such lovely memories. As you filmed I could pick out different places with ate and visited. Then to top that off you visited this amazing Costume Shoppe. Jorge is living in the wrong era as he is "tailored' made for these outfits. It was a joy to watch you try on the dresses and match them up with jackets and hats and bags. The staff was wonderful. I was disappointed when it had to end. Will be watching this episode many times over. From a very grateful heart...Thank you!

oh brilliant! Bath was my home for 7 years! I lived at Sydney Place where Jane Austen used to live. There is sign outside of the the specific building where her family home was. All too familiar. I like how Joerg was like : this looks good. And Kristen was like: absolutely not. haha just like me and my husband.
I loved the costumes. Jorg looks like he is right at home in his costume. Bothe of you look great. Loved hearing you speak German to each other. Reminded me of my cousins who were from Berlin. I look forward to seeing on the occasion you will be wearing these.

It is amazing how the gorgeous costumes you tried on transported you both back to Bridgerton times!! It’s interesting how Bath is so synonymous with Jane Austen as she was really miserable while living in Bath as her family moved from one home to the next in increasing poverty. Her writing output was stalled too while living there.
Just loved this! I am a Theatre person myself, so I mostly enjoyed the costume shop with those amazing people. Thank you for the experience 💕😊🙏🌹

Kirsten you look so beautiful in your regency costumes, really suits you! 🤩👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧And Joerg looked so handsome in his costume 🤩👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧. I love Bath and have been there several times in Spring/Summer and during Christmas 🎄 what a wonderful time slip into the late Georgian/Regency Era, very Jane Austen. Of course when we were there, Bridgerton, hadn’t been filmed. The Duke Hotel room looked lovely, nice views. I love the costume shop, the staff seemed very nice and friendly. They were very professional and definitely know what they are doing. I loved the regency dresses, they are made for you Kirsten and me. I love the empire waist on a dress. My favourite was the green outfit that you first put on, but they all were very pretty. I think Joerg looked very “Mr. Darcy” like, and I think Joerg should dress like that for his work 🤩. That was lots of fun today. I can not wait for the follow up! Take Care you two ..🤗😘🇨🇦

Yes, it's so exciting! But it's not the big one in Bath, it's a smaller one in Alton & Chawton (also at Chasten Cottage where Jane Austen lived).

Oh Kirsten! This is again so wonderful! I actually tried to click like before I even clicked in the video, I knew I would love it so much!My cousin is a Jane Austen scholar, I‘m very proud of her. And I just was on Rügen and found out that Prince Malte built the circus in Putbus based on the same design as Bath! I had always wondered why I felt like I was in England there. I nearly studied in Bath, I‘m sure I would have loved it. Thank you for taking me back. I‘ll watch again later, with my husband as we visited Bath together, early on. What a treat ❤️
