Her voice is very soothing indeed. I watch your videos in the afternoon usually when my Yorkie pup & I lie down for a rest & your voice literally will lul me to sleep ! Other times I have tea & bake. Life here in California USA can be very stressful right now and so you can see why I watch you and have come to love you both . Your hubby is also an incredible man. If only you could bottle him so we all could find a joerg for ourselves.
I ❤️ that you & Joerg wear the same clothes in many videos. His red pants, your red checked coat, your pretty dresses, and cute hats… You are real people, and that’s what real people do. It’s a big part of your charm, I think, and makes you very relatable.
Congratulations on your choice to support locally owned and made. I believe a number of designers here in Australia are sourcing ethically based businesses. I think the best we can do is try to source responsible products and to wear each piece for a long time and to remember that clothing affects lives, those that make it and wear it. ❤ loved seeing your favourite brands and clothing, you wear it all with such style.😊
I’ve never been a “trendy” person and I love vintage although it is not my personal style. I am fascinated by people like you who are so…artistic and open in their expression . I admire those who march to the beat of their own drum and don’t care what the rest of the population are doing. That makes you a unicorn in my book!!! I think you are amazing!!!
I so appreciate you! I wish every woman tied to labels would understand where their choices and who they are affecting. Thank you for bringing light to the child labor associated with fashion.
I love your english, victorian, vintage countryside style of dressing and decorating!!! It suits you so well! I agree on buying quality fabrics in timeless styles. You don't have to worry about fabric wearing down or holes in seams. A quality handbag should last years if made properly. Designer labels have outsourced and their products and don't last one bit! Real fabrics...cotton, wool, leather, suede and canvas last forever with good care. You're just a doll!!! Thanks for the video ❤
Thank you so much and I really agree with everything you're saying. I think so many just need to have those big labels clearly visible for everybody, it's nice to get away from it all.
Just when I thought I couldn't admire you more, you came out with this wonderful video! I really appreciate your socially-conscious and eco-friendly approach to your timeless and adorable style! And no, I don't tire of seeing you repeat outfits in your videos!
For me, there is a grounded security and strength from wearing beautiful garments on repeat that are good quality and fit just right. I am turned off by “fast fashion” with all of its horrible implications.
Kirsten, You are so bright, stylish, beautiful and positive!😃🤗 I look at you and smile at every video. Recently, I found your channel and couldn't leave❤
Good for you for taking a stand against child labor! It’s very hard to imagine that child labor still exists today, but it does. It is the same reason why I share the same view on merchandise purchases.
That is so cool, you sharing how you shifted your mindset about ethical clothing! I have found so much joy from thrifting and supporting small Etsy makers.
Totally agree with you! I'm here because I enjoy the little journeys you take us on, not for the new clothes. Love your style, by the way, love the vintage-eclectic look.
Kirsten, I’m so proud of you and your attitude concerning crazy consumerism. I’ve often wondered what fashion bloggers do with all the clothes and accessories they model. And the importance of designer bags and belts, what in the world? Contentment and happiness in who you are and not what you wear is becoming a thing of the past. Thanks so much for speaking out about this ongoing craziness
I'm originally from India and just know off hand that so many American and European designersused to get their clothing lines made in Indian factorie. Back in the 90s many factories employed children. So I agree that it's important to have awareness. Sadly, corporate slavery does exist. When i go to india, I love buying fabric and go to the local tailor to get my dress made. It's a treat and satisfying i feel I'm helping local economy.
I used to live in Laura Ashley dresses when I was in my twenties. Because we lived in mid-Wales not too far from the factory we were able to buy seconds which were great value and it was difficult if not impossible to see the flaw.
That's wonderful! And back then they were all made here and not in China like today. Joerg and I spent a lovely Easter weekend at Llangoed Hall a couple of years back which was owned by Laura Ashley's family. It's in mid-Wales as well.
I loved Laura Ashley fashion and had many pieces. It is impossible to find LA clothes today in thrift shops because no one wants to give theirs up. I wish LA still made their unique clothes again.
I absolutely love your videos. I don't think you realize what an informative yet entertaining video you produce. I totally enjoyed all your style tips and commend you for buying local and showing the quality of local designers; every one of your outfits was absolutely stunning. Thank you.
I enjoy seeing your wardrobe as much as I enjoy seeing your travel destinations. You have a unique and interesting style and I LOVE it! Your clothes are quality-made and enduring and suit you perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing with us how you discovered and curated your style and wardrobe.
Luckily I'm in Scotland, and the tweed and the real hand knitted goods here are very affordable in Vintage and second hand shops. I'm leaving behind my punky style towards the calm, quality Scottish tweeds and wool. Living in Edinburgh, it is a privilege, and a good place for it, many people actually wearing those clothes on every day, which for some people, especially from other countries might be fun outfit, but here the weather condition is perfect for tweeds :)
Kirsten you have really found your style and it is so becoming on you. The reason I like it is you don’t see yourself coming and going. You have made me really think about that. Fot people that don’t have the money could maybe buy at consignment shops where there are good clothes at a cheaper price.??
Thanks so much Maureen! I would really recommend vintage for finding cheaper clothes, often you find the most amazing pieces of amazing quality and a great price as well.
I am so glad to have found your YT channel, and now your old blog, too! I'm here in the States, and also a longtime Anglophile. I guessed your dress was vintage Laura Ashley! I could rarely indulge in Laura Ashley in the 1980's and early '90's (or so I thought -- looking back, I see that my parsimony toward myself was misguided and unnecessary), when I was young and slim. Oh, how I adored the L.A. styles, both clothing and interiors! I have a similar style to yours (I also include some mixed-print rayon Bohemian dresses and some solid shift-style dresses), and my latest indulgence is a few fit-and-flare Indian-made block-print cotton frocks bought from a local shop here. I'm 65, but I still love to twirl. I recently found cotton petticoats at a reasonable price on Amazon, so I am looking forward to popping one on under these dresses. Several years ago when I was still teaching primary grades and thinner than now, I bought quite a few things from Boden, which is British-based. In recent years, they have gotten away from their cotton and wool clothing (I especially loved their printed baby wale corduroy dresses), but I see that they appear to be bringing back more cottons. I have a couple of striped cotton knit dresses from them in the last several months, also twirl-worthy. I haven't worn my Oxford lace-ups in a while ... I must try them again. Sometimes I wear floral Dr Martens booties with my Boho floral dresses, for a California-girl look. (Or so I think.) Thank you so much for your presence on the internet, and for continuing to post! I really admire you and Joerg, and your honest, happy, upbeat videos! You are such a cute, fun couple, and obviously get along together so well and respectfully!
Absolutely! I used to wear heels some years ago but no longer especially since we are always on the road and I need flats. Some beautiful ones out there. Have a lovely weekend.
I love your style, Kirsten! It's very classy and matches your persona. I enjoy your videos about the Cotswolds as i am hiking through the circle through the villages in mid May!
I have a bob like you and I would buy the dress your wearing in a second I've been wearing my hair like this for 25 years and so finding you is like finding a twin soul thanks for sharing !
I love your style! I too enjoy wearing English country-style clothing. I've tried so many other styles, but they're just not me. I struggled to find clothes that I like in High Street shops (and brands), so I've gone back to sewing my own clothes in the country style; pieces that will fit me well and will last for years. I will check out some of the brands you mentioned. Last month I visited the House of Bruar in Blair Atholl, while on holiday; I found a lovely long cardigan for myself and a nice paperboy hat for my husband. I don't know if you've been, but it is certainly a place to check out. Not only for clothes but for food, home decorations and soft furnishings too. And...there's a massive sale shop at the back of the complex; lots of lovely bargains from past seasons. We had a lovely time. Thanks for pointing out the brands to us, country style lovers 🥰
You definitely cannot beat the quality and craftsmanship of vintage clothing and the style which is timeless! It is worth the investment. Thank you for influencing clothing sustainability. The textile industry is also one of the greatest polluters.
In addition to the child labor aspect, buying vintage or new classic pieces that you keep for years is so much better for the environment. And buying natural fabrics that are breathable are much better for your skin. Your style is timeless and looks so well on you. Your “modern” red hairstyle and makeup keep it looking fresh. Perhaps you would consider a future vlog about your favorite style of jewelry. I am thinking classic pearls, hat pins and gold studs. 🥰
Yes, exactly, this is why I changed my mindset as well because I want to be more conscious about the environment. Aww I don't have any jewellry I'm afraid, I don't care for jewellry at all :)
I have never followed fashion to the max like a lot of people. I buy what is comfy & I like to wear, also I wear my clothes over & over , I also go into vintage shops and buy clothes & handbags, I have done it for years lol. A lot more people are catching on to this way of shopping. I have had classic silk shirts, good quality trousers & brilliant handbags. It's just taking the time to look around. I love your style 👏👏💗
I am a brazilian living in germany and honestly, I've never seen any cloth made in Germany, whereas in Brazil I find it all the time and they are good quality and not always produced by children or starving people. When I buy clothes in Germany I get second-hand items, as it is better for the environment. When I am in Brazil I only buy clothes made by brazilians, so I can support their works and not these people working in poor conditions in terrible factories. Your style is lovely btw! 😙
Yes, that's true, Germany is known for 'Made in Germany' when it comes to cars or machines but less in fashion, I'm sure there are some very small labels though but definitely needs some digging. Second-hand is wonderful, I wanted to be more conscious about the environment as well and I never look back. Thanks so much Helena.
( Love your white bureau in the background, and the botanical wallpaper - very pretty!) Love your shoes and your green overcoat, in the beginning of your video! I didn't catch where you buy your shoes, and wellies! Cabbages and Rose's shop looks amazing!!! Thank you for giving us a look into why you buy - and don't buy - slow food, slow fashion, etc. as many have noted, is much more sustainable, not to mention more healthy in so many ways.
Adore your style!! Exactly what I would choose if I lived in your climate. Although, a tweed jacket or wool jumper would be fine here in winter. I'm inspired to look for something.😊
I love your style Kirsten and in particular hearing how it developed and your love for the English country look. I am in complete agreement with you regarding sustainability and fast fashion not to mention child exploitation in the clothing and manufacturing industry in many developing countries and as consumers we really do need to consider the impact of our role when we purchase our clothes. ⭐️
Hello Kirsten, I have just discovered your channel - and really love it! I look forward now to a massive catch up. You truly are like a breath of fresh air AND you make a great team.
Thank you for being so real 😃 With us. Thank you for sharing not only what your style is but HOW your style came about. It is timeless elegance...Thank you for taking time to share brands we have never heard of. My daughter and i are particularly excited to order the shoes and boots. We wish the linen dress and skirt were floor length. We are both middle size people 5 foot 4 and when dresses/shirts go to the floor we look taller, feel more elegant and honestly we even walk slower/stand up taller...have better posture and enjoy our clothes more .... hardly any one wears floor length dress/skirt here in Texas but ...we 😎 DO and we always get compliments... we are learning to wear what we LOVE not what is trendy ...just like you 💗 yiippeee Yamamoto for being authentic!!!!
Everyone follows trends at the time, if we could all wear things that we truly love and feel the most comfortable in. Sometimes takes years to know your style and what compliments our personality. Love your style, it compliments your personality and what you love.
Having recently discovered you, I’m deriving the greatest pleasure catching up on your videos. Living in Australia & hankering to revisit the UK, your wonderful videos are providing great pleasure to me. I truly feel as if I’m exploring the gorgeous villages too. Loving history, antiques, decorating, literature & fashion I feel incredibly blessed to have found you. Kirsten, your gentle manner & soft voice are delightful. Your fashion style suits you perfectly & I greatly appreciate your sentiments. Thank you for the absolute joy you’re giving me here in Australia, so far from a part of the world I love & miss 💐🙏💞
Melanie from Tennessee, again. Kirsten, your clothes are absolutely gorgeous! That Laura Ashley dress! 😍 Your brogues! ALL of your clothes! Just so gorgeous! ❤❤❤❤
Your style is darling, and I admire the thoughtful way that you came to it. Buying local, vintage, or secondhand is also good for our environment. Buying local reduces the amount of energy used for getting the product to the consumer. Vintage and secondhand purchases reduce our wasteful consumerism and the amount that we throw away into landfills. Good to hear that vintage Laura Ashley is valued. I enjoyed this video so much! Hello from California.
It’s really interesting how fashion trends repeat. In the 60s, 70s and even the 80s we used to have few changes of clothes but the clothes were of great quality, very stylish, and often hand made by ourselves. I’m waiting to see if sewing will re- emerge as a craft that young people are interested in taking up. It’s a guaranteed way to ensure that what you wear won’t be seen on anyone else!
I love this concept. Adore it! My mom used to make clothes for me as a baby and young child (even my diapers) and she would sew costumes for when I was in folk dancing as well. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit this gift. I suck at sewing! ha ha. I'd love to be able to buy locally from someone who clearly knows what they're doing in the sewing department. I don't mind paying big bucks for something that's of high quality. I'm sick to death of fast fashion.
I'm addicted to sewing. I do simple clothing for myself, but I do lots of house wares - Pillow slips, bed runners, curtains, drapes, duvets, chair/bed throws, etc, It's a money saving skill and very rewarding.
Kudos to you, Kirsten, on stepping away from fast fashion. We have been conditioned to constantly shop, shop, shop and it is such a waste of time and money! I too have made the same decision, making many of my new clothes to fit me perfectly (which is not cheap and takes a lot of time!) but I now have a wardrobe that I totally love and looks great on me. I prefer things that are handmade, preferably from people who I have met. I do not throw away perfectly good things, just changing the way I get new ones. Less clutter in my home and my mind. This was a wonderful video as usual!
Oh my gosh! I adore your style! The first outfit is my favorite, I wish I was half as cute as you. Your hair, your personality, your kind and sweet disposition is precious. I’d love to have tea or coffee with you guys sometime. 😄 I’ll settle for these weekly videos...as they are so well done. Have a beautiful week!❤️
This was great to hear someone who has put a lot of thought into what they wear. I love your style. I’m going to be on the lookout for brogues. Also I am getting back into sewing my own clothes and making conscious decisions about choosing things that will mix and match.
Loved hearing how you came to find a style of dressing that makes you comfortable yet so beautiful! I sew, and enjoy making my own dresses. But, with the cost of fabric these days… it is much less expensive to go to 2nd hand shops. Though, the quality of clothing in these shops is not what it used to be. I am seriously considering finding a simple dress pattern (maybe just go back through my own pattern box) and make myself a few dresses and skirts.
oh i love this first outfit so much. More importantly, I am in such joy that, when you were presented with the knowledge of moral issues in fashion you chose to not support those processes even when it became challenging to source your pieces. Your choice transformed your way of being. thank you for setting a fine example.
Wore dresses like this...Laura A...in the 80's...no one else dressed like this...am in the US...wish I had saved them. Had one similar to yours with lovely cabbage roses... also corduroy and wool dresses...love your style!
Michelle... Perhaps you can find something that resembles your former L. Ashley style? Could be fun and give you a nostalgic feeling to wear such a garment again...
Loved this review Kirsten, and it's so refreshing getting UK suppliers and you providing links, often people promise links and don't include them. Thankyou!
I absolutely Love that you support Local and Small business. Your style fits your time in life and your interests. It doesn't take a lot of pieces to create an interchanging wardrobe that suits you perfectly. You always look immaculate in any setting. Thanks for sharing your tips.
You're one of a kind, which is truly delightful. Would you say you have a minimal/capsule wardrobe now since you decided to change your purchasing choices? If so, how many pieces would you say a woman would do well to have in her closet. I think it would be just lovely to have a chat over a cup of tea. Please do keep sharing your adventures.
Thanks so much Elizabeth! No, I wouldn't say I have a capsule wardrobe, I think I still have a big wardrobe, just always have some favourites that I keep wearing.
@@KirstenJoerg Fair enough. Would you consider a video showing your outfits of the week? Or possibly a 10 x 10 challenge. 10 pieces creating 10 looks? I love to see the creative looks when challenged to using only 10 pieces. Just food for thought. Cheers!
Liebe Kirsten, das ist wieder ein tolles Video. Ich liebe deinen Stil. Er ist so authentisch. Das findet man sehr selten bei RUclipsrn. Du bist so ein inspirierendes Vorbild. Danke 🙏🌸
What a kind person you are to watch and listen to Kirsten! Thank You for your RUclips video's, they provide joy to so many people! Your style is refreshing and cheerful! Bravo to you for caring about the ethical sourcing of the vintage clothes that you do wear.
I love your style it is so individual, I would wear everything in your wardrobe you always look so smart, I am trying to buy quality clothes over quantity and want to be different and individual. I could watch and listen to you all day your voice is so calm and gentle. I can’t wait for your next house video xx
Totally love this video! By the way, I just responded to the previous video (can't remember the title now) that was also concerning your style. So, I was so happy to find this one that features the hacking jacket I referenced in my previous comment. So, if you get it, please disregard since you provided you jacket source in this one. Wish they had your exact jacket--I would so totally splurge. Love you style but also hold in regard your convictions concerning child labor, etc. Very encouraging in this fashion driven society! Best
I do like your unique style. It suits you very well. I really enjoyed this video. I like how you mix and match your pieces. you are very talented with clothes. I also enjoyed the sheep tea video very much. .
Kirsten, you are such a genuinely wonderful kind woman!❤️ Comfort is everything to me! Loving the fashion show, what a natural!🥰 Thank you for sharing and going into detail! Have a fabulous day!🌿🌷🌿
I love 💕 your style! I’m 63 and I wear a lot of unique (some would say) weird outfits. I think you have great taste and it works for you, it reflects who you are as a person. I ditched all the designer stuff too, I try to buy from my local boutique stores, support my local businesses. I used to work with a young lady in her mid twenties and she only wore vintage 1960’s style clothes, she was cute as could be. She learned early, be true to yourself, I say good for her! Thank you for sharing, I appreciate your honesty and truth
Good to see this!! I love your outfits...I myself have never followed trends, I wear what I like not what is the next style! 👚👗 or what is in!! I do love brogue though I have quite a few pairs in various colours 👍
What a very heart warming story & so glad you have so much purpose in just choosing your attire. Your wardrobe is beautiful....timeless like you say for a very beautiful & timeless lady♥
Kirsten, I absolutely love your style! Two years ago, I made the decision to jump off of the fast-fashion hamster wheel. During these last two years, I have managed to curate a wardrobe that is made up of quality and timeless pieces that will last me for many, many years to come. I love the slow fashion movement because not only is it good for me on a personal level, it's also better for the planet.
I'm so so happy to hear that! Isn't it an amazing feeling? I don't miss H&M, Mango, Zaro etc. one single bit and appreciate the pieces I have so much and also the new pieces.
I love your style. I think the colors you choose are so beautiful. I am into comfort at this time of my life. Have a great rest of the week. From East Tennessee. USA
Your style fits in so nicely with your travels. That is what draws me most, nothing is ever jarring or out of place, your videos are seamless, timeless, restful. I also love how you have to pull answers of Jeorg (sp), he is a great sidekick for lack of a better word. I don't know why the BBC hasn't found you yet, though I suppose that is our gain.
I am a retired designer, that designed clothing professionally for 30+ years. I am not surprised you were somehow in this industry. You have a wonderful eye for beauty, plus you have a mind and heart of a person of integrity. Bravo beautiful lady. Now on with the show.
Absolutely loved this video as I was always curious how your cheery and very classic but fun style evolved. Thank you! I was initially drawn to your channel because I am obsessed with the 1920’s and your darling “Louise Brooks” hairstyle. Louise was a movie star in the 20’s in the US and she’s known for the iconic hairstyle you wear so beautifully! I have curly hair and would have to battle my curly q’s if I wore my hair that short but it’s my fave hairstyle- so chic and sassy! Love it! Thank you Kirsten~ also was happy to see that you showcased your fox hunting shirt, I love so much!
I'm so glad I found your channel! This video makes me wonder what your closet looks like, it would make a lovely video now that we've seen some of your style. Your look is so pretty and so is your hair. I love your hair. I wonder if you can make a hair video and tell us how you decided on your style and color. It suits you perfectly.
I love your philosophy Kirsten. I am older than you (60 yrs young) but I remember in the 1970’s thinking I wonder where that was made, is it local? & alway’s favoured supporting small, niche, local businesses. Maybe I was ahead of my time thinking like that when I was so young. It’s all about price per wear/use & what did William Morris say……….never have anything that you do not fine useful or beautiful! Love your videos both of you, keep them coming & never change ❤ xx
Thank you for sharing I enjoy nice things but I buy used as much as I can. You look great in all of your outfit's. Have a great week from Knoxville in the USA
Your style is beautiful, It suits you incredibly well, so much that I couldn’t imagine you dressed otherwise. But the most important thing is that you are a wonderful human being. And your choices show maturity, responsibility and style. It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. Greetings from Uruguay! 🇺🇾😘👍
I loved learning about your journey. Purchase high quality, ethical and classic pieces and you will use them forever and look great in them. Any time I wear my vintage pieces I am asked about them. The quality and attention to detail is outstanding.
Hi Tom ,I have only recently found Kirsten ,so I'm on massive catch up.I saw your comments re school. Many years ago I had tough times at school too. I feel what you are saying ,been there. You will get through it ,its easy for me to say that now,I know. Tom its such a small part of the fantastic life you have ahead of you ,in years to come you will realise how insignificant this part of your life was ,hang on in there ,dont let the hard times magnify and overtake your good times .
There are so many lovely charity shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow and all over Scotland and UK where you can find amazing vintage stuff for a few pounds... love that and its a nice way of supporting your favourite charity.
Absolutely loved watching your personal style video Kirsten. I think it is timeless dressing. I love everything you showed… but, especially the gold & red linen dresses and the jacket & handbags.😘. All so beautiful and classic. A ‘well made’ video. Thank you so much for sharing.🌸💗👗
I totally agree with you about buying less and buying sustainably - vintage clothing, and timeless pieces that are well-made and that one will use for years etc. I love your style; it's so unique, artistic, and slightly quirky, and perfectly 'you', if that makes sense! Thank you for making this video, Kirsten - it's so interesting to hear more about how you found your unique way of dressing. xx
Kirsten your voice and accent is so soothing and charming I could listen to you all day, you are so classy and your style is beautiful,
Thank you so much lovely.
mary poppins yes
Her voice is very soothing indeed.

Thank you for your honesty and all your sharing ❤😊
I love your style! And your channel and your persona. I am planning a hike through the Cotswolds in mid May and love watching your Cotswold videos! ❤️
I really admire people who create their own style. So many copy trends, they end up all looking alike!
I so appreciate you! I wish every woman tied to labels would understand where their choices and who they are affecting. Thank you for bringing light to the child labor associated with fashion.

Awesome, thoughtful comment. We hands down agree with you!!!
Just when I thought I couldn't admire you more, you came out with this wonderful video! I really appreciate your socially-conscious and eco-friendly approach to your timeless and adorable style! And no, I don't tire of seeing you repeat outfits in your videos!
Thank you so much!
For me, there is a grounded security and strength from wearing beautiful garments on repeat that are good quality and fit just right. I am turned off by “fast fashion” with all of its horrible implications.
I so agree!
Kirsten, You are so bright, stylish, beautiful and positive!😃🤗

Thanks so much, a fun journey and actually nice to ignore trends hahah.
@@KirstenJoerg it is such great joy to wear clothes for years and years....if they are in good condition and have a classical style... Why not???
I agree with and am so glad to hear of your philosophy of staying local and supporting small business. Keep up the great work! Love you guys!
Thanks so much! Oh yes, I really love the support the local brands, I think it's so worth it.
My favourite Laura Ashley dresses 👗
Your style is impeccable! All the items are gorgeous, I would love to see a wardrobe tour!
Thanks so much!
I absolutely love your videos. I don't think you realize what an informative yet entertaining video you produce. I totally enjoyed all your style tips and commend you for buying local and showing the quality of local designers;
every one of your outfits was absolutely stunning. Thank you.
Thank you so much Virginia, that means a lot.
Der Meinung bin ich auch....
(Or so I think.)
Thank you so much for your presence on the internet, and for continuing to post! I really admire you and Joerg, and your honest, happy, upbeat videos!
You are such a cute, fun couple, and obviously get along together so well and respectfully!
I love wearing flats. To be honest I can't walk in high-heels. I really appreciate that you show us that flats can be pretty also!
That's wonderful to hear!
Thanks so much for saying that and yes, it's so true hence no more fast fashion buy (will wear what I own from them but nothing new).
Makes me so happy to read this, thanks a lot for sharing.
That mustard dress is just beautiful!!!!.....reminds me of cabbage&roses
( Love your white bureau in the background, and the botanical wallpaper - very pretty!)
Love your shoes and your green overcoat, in the beginning of your video!
I love your style!!!! It's so eclectic and vintage.
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much Sarah and yes, so very true.
I love to listen to your voice too. It’s soothing and comforting. Your style is fun and quirky but lovely and fits you perfectly.
Thanks so much!
Hello Kirsten, I have just discovered your channel - and really love it! I look forward now to a massive catch up. You truly are like a breath of fresh air AND you make a great team.
Thank you so much Mary, that makes me so happy.
Thank you for being so real 😃
With us. Thank you for sharing not only what your style is but HOW your style came about. It is timeless elegance...Thank you for taking time to share brands we have never heard of. My daughter and i are particularly excited to order the shoes and boots. We wish the linen dress and skirt were floor length. We are both middle size people 5 foot 4 and when dresses/shirts go to the floor we look taller, feel more elegant and honestly we even walk slower/stand up taller...have better posture and enjoy our clothes more .... hardly any one wears floor length dress/skirt here in Texas but ...we 😎
DO and we always get compliments... we are learning to wear what we LOVE not what is trendy ...just like you 💗 yiippeee Yamamoto for being authentic!!!!
Thank YOU!
Thank you and yes, exactly, one of the many reasons I made this change. Have a lovely day.
Wow! First to comment...I love your style Kirsten! God bless and take care! Enjoying your videos always🥰
Thank you!
Wise and ETHICAL choise dear Kirsten and so stylish !!! the planet is safe with people like you.....Anna
Actually, I think sewing has made a big comeback, many people (especially young people) started making their own clothes which is very interesting.
You are so kind Fran, thank you so much!
I love your sort of "wholeness" which is comes from the fact that you have very very YOUR style. I love it.
Thanks so much!
This was great to hear someone who has put a lot of thought into what they wear. I love your style. I’m going to be on the lookout for brogues. Also I am getting back into sewing my own clothes and making conscious decisions about choosing things that will mix and match.
Thanks so much! I just love it when people can sew their own clothes, I'm just not talented enough to do that but I find it so great.
It is wonderful to see your joy of being yourself, being creative, and helping others by your choices.
You need to do more of these style vlogs!! love them! You are such a delightful couple! such a joy.
Thanks so much!
Wore dresses like this...Laura A...in the 80's...no one else dressed like this...am in the US...wish I had saved them. Had one similar to yours with lovely cabbage roses... also corduroy and wool dresses...love your style!
Oh yes, I can imagine, all the Laura Ashley I see from the 80s are just stunning.
Michelle... Perhaps you can find something that resembles your former L. Ashley style?
Could be fun and give you a nostalgic feeling to wear such a garment again...
Loved this review Kirsten, and it's so refreshing getting UK suppliers and you providing links, often people promise links and don't include them. Thankyou!
Thanks so much Frances!
Cheers!
So charming, what a wonderful episode. Loved it! Your style is so elegant, yet has a unique charm that is adorable. And beautiful.
I just found your channel through Sweet and Simple Home who recommended you! I’m glad she did! God bless! Jennifer from Ohio 😊
Thank you so much for mentioning that, I just paid a visit to Rachel's channel and subscribed as well. Feeling so honoured. Thanks so much Jennifer.
Liebe Kirsten, das ist wieder ein tolles Video. Ich liebe deinen Stil. Er ist so authentisch. Das findet man sehr selten bei RUclipsrn. Du bist so ein inspirierendes Vorbild. Danke 🙏🌸
Vielen lieben Dank liebe Petra, das freut mich so sehr.
Love your style! Love your vintage, romantic looking pieces. Even better now I know about your journey and your careful considerations as you buy! 😍
What a kind person you are to watch and listen to Kirsten! Thank You for your RUclips video's, they provide joy to so many people! Your style is refreshing and cheerful! Bravo to you for caring about the ethical sourcing of the vintage clothes that you do wear.
Thank you so much!
Good for you Kirsten, to chose for yourself. Enjoy your Freedom. Love this video and the clothes you Ware.
Thanks so much Lydia!
Just saw this older video and really enjoyed seeing the quality of clothes and how you developed your style. Thanks
I love your style it is so individual, I would wear everything in your wardrobe you always look so smart, I am trying to buy quality clothes over quantity and want to be different and individual. I could watch and listen to you all day your voice is so calm and gentle. I can’t wait for your next house video xx
Thanks so much Pauline! I think it makes such a difference to buy quality over quantity, it makes you appreciate it every single piece.
Best
Let’s hear about Joerg’s style now for us blokes.......and a brand we can find at the Sally Ann !
PS....Greetings from Canada !
Great idea!
Love the red & mustard 👗
I do like your unique style. It suits you very well. I really enjoyed this video. I like how you mix and match your pieces. you are very talented with clothes. I also enjoyed the sheep tea video very much. .
Kirsten, you are such a genuinely wonderful kind woman!❤️ Comfort is everything to me! Loving the fashion show, what a natural!🥰 Thank you for sharing and going into detail! Have a fabulous day!🌿🌷🌿
Thanks so much, have a lovely rest of the week.
Kirsten you are a calm voice amongst the willowings of buy buy on commercially baked channels. I love your referral to Cambridge handbags
What a very heart warming story & so glad you have so much purpose in just choosing your attire. Your wardrobe is beautiful....timeless like you say for a very beautiful & timeless lady♥
Thanks so much!
USA
Thanks so much and have a great rest of the week as well.
Thanks so much Theresa.
Hello Kirstin. I love your style, it’s what makes you who you are which is a simply lovely lady 🌺
Thank you so very much Terri.
Thanks so much for this! Oh yes, the 1920s are fascinating.
Yes, you suit the vintage style. The outfits are beautiful indeed.
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for watching and have a great week too. As mentioned I do buy vintage as well.
Fox print 🦊 ohmygoodness I can tell the quality of fabric is outstanding!
No you don’t need a label Kirsten, you have your own unique style gorgeous classy💕💕
Thanks so much Maggie.
When you held up the blue cabbages and roses sweater, your complexion just glowed. It is YOUR COLOR.
Thank you so much!
I loved learning about your journey. Purchase high quality, ethical and classic pieces and you will use them forever and look great in them. Any time I wear my vintage pieces I am asked about them. The quality and attention to detail is outstanding.
Thanks so much for watching!
I love your videos Kirsten! Im having a really hard time at school and your videos really pull up my mood! Thanks so much😄
Thank you!
Absolutely, we go there on a regular basis (at least prior to the pandemic) and also donate..
Kirsten, I love your style, you look absolutely beautiful in all those gorgeous outfits. A really enjoyable video.
Thank you so much!
Your style looks lovely im one your fans
Absolutely loved watching your personal style video Kirsten.
I think it is timeless dressing. I love everything you showed… but, especially the gold & red linen dresses and the jacket & handbags.😘. All so beautiful and classic. A ‘well made’
video. Thank you so much for sharing.🌸💗👗
Your style is absolutely amazing! I love it so much ❤️ Thank you for this video, Kirsten 👍🏻
Thanks so much for watching.
I also love vintage clothing, well really anything vintage. I love those shoes.
I just love you and your husband your whole package (everything that you are) is refreshing to me
Thank you so much!
I totally agree with you about buying less and buying sustainably - vintage clothing, and timeless pieces that are well-made and that one will use for years etc. I love your style; it's so unique, artistic, and slightly quirky, and perfectly 'you', if that makes sense! Thank you for making this video, Kirsten - it's so interesting to hear more about how you found your unique way of dressing. xx
