I time how long it take to brew a pot of coffee and I show you how to use the programmable brew later function. How to clean the coffeemaker, and how to set the digital clock. I use the 4 cup coffee filters because Walmart did not have any 5 cup filters. I show you how the Grab-a-cup Auto Pause works on the coffeemaker. I show you how much coffee it makes it is not 5 cups, it is about 4 1/2 cups. Correct. Even if Keurig were free with a 100 dollar bill in the reservoir, I will let someone else have it. Keurig, when they went anti Trump means they need anti money support. Same with Starbucks, Nike, Ben and Jerrys, Dicks Sporting, Target etc.

@fatema alatwani The 12 cup can make anywhere from 4 cup to 12 cups, You don't always have to make 12 cups, it will brew what every amount of water you put in it. I would get the 12 cup and on some days you can just brew 5 cups in the 12cup

A few years back I purchased this 5 cup Mr. Coffee - my first Mr. Coffee product. I was really surprised. It makes good tasting coffee; takes up little space; it’s a smart little design; and easy to clean and maintain. The only thing I didn’t like about it is that the coffee was not very hot. I’d heat the cup and it made little difference. I do use a lot of half-and-half, so that’s why, but still. I paid $12 for it at Walmart. Surprisingly good on all fronts.

Thank you very much for this very thorough review. I had already ordered one of these for my teen son who has wanted something like this for his bedroom. After viewing your video, I ordered one for my husband for those mornings when he only wants 15 oz. of coffee and he's leaving the house super early for work when everyone will still be sleeping for 2-3 more hours. I like the programmable feature and it's very good to know if the power goes out for less than 4 minutes the brew later feature will still work. This is a well-made review video and I have just subscribed to your channel.

I had a $10 coffee 5 cup cheap off brand maker for 3 years before it finally warped the plastic enough to leak everywhere. Thought about a keurig but I like bigger cups of coffee in the morning. Im a single dude, so this 5 cup maker is perfect for me. Ive never had a programmable coffee maker before so waking up to coffee already being ready to pour was awesome!!!

What a comprehensive review and overview of coffeemakers in general. I'm impressed! I switched from a Keurig to a Hamilton Beach hybrid programmable coffeemaker a few years ago. I make single cups of coffee hours before my wife does. Turns out we never use the 12-cup side, and we never make coffee on a regular schedule (so I can't program it). Now I want something that can make one (or two) cups of coffee but can be started with an Alexa command. This pot, paired with an Alexa smart plug, would be a good fit for us. I could go the easy route and tell Alexa to turn the coffee pot on and off whenever. But an Alexa routine can turn the pot on when requested and make an announcement half an hour later that she's turning it off. That's far more convenient, flexible, and safer than just turning on the pot and risking forgetting it's on.
Totally unrelated, but I got a kick out of the fact that you used the exact same tub of coffee in your demo that I use at home. What a great review. Thanks again.

i'm buying one. i'm glad you mentioned you can turn it off manually. the walmart ad only mentions it automatically turns off after 2 hours. i love that timer so my coffee will be ready when i wake up :) i also find that 5 cup coffee makers are good at making one cup of coffee as well.

I had a new 12 cup Black and Decker but I live alone and only drink 2-3 cups each morning so I bought this anyway and put the other one away. It was bulky and more than I needed in a small space. The filters I was using are a little too big so I need filters now but I like this one better.
Yeah this is a really basic coffee maker that makes great coffee. It takes the smaller filters, walmart only sells the 4 cup basket style filters and they fit this great even though this is a 5 cup coffee maker. Thanks for Watching!!

I have a Mr. Coffee 4 cup switch machine. I love it. I wish they would just make a 4 cup and not a 5 cup.

the carafe of my 4 cup cracked and it cost more to replace it than to get the new machine. However, I find the old 4-cup design much better.

I'm Down grading my coffee maker from a k cup 2.0 coffee maker to a Mr. Coffee mini brew. I just notice how nasty the k cups are and the tank. And the pods are expensive. So I'm going simple. To a drip coffee maker. For now it's a mini coffee maker and later my husband said we will upgrade to a ninja drip coffee maker. 🤞
Hi! Dad very good reviews. In Canada : Between the BVMC-PC05BL2-033 $34.98 and the 2129512 $59.35 beside the timer are they the same ? Why ? Because in Canada the 2129512 is much more expensive and does not have the timer, weird.

Whenever my coffee maker dies I might get one. I find though that me coffee leaks out of the bottom. Maybe they all do. I love mini coffee pots.

The instructions says if you ever leave the pot on and it burns dry to never use the pot again and throw it away...do you know if that is true?
Yes depending how much coffee is left in the carafe. it will evaporate and could burn the pot.

The coffee maker makes the water hot. Just pour in tap water and the coffee maker will make it very hot. even if the water is cold
Theirs a gauge in the back to put your water level for the amount of cups you want.got rid of my old keuring coffee maker the coffee tasted bitter and I didn’t like those plastic k cups can’t be healthy for you .The coffee tastes so much better now.not bad for 17 dollars.

Thanks for the vid! First time coffee maker user, to get away from going to Starbuck$. When I pour water into it, it immediately leaks onto the carafe platform, from what looks like a small opening from the back. If I just pour from a different container and leave the carafe in place, will it pour water into the carafe and water down my coffee?
Watched the vid again - I see that you hit Brew Now before adding the water. I’ll try that.
You pour the water in the back park behind the coffee filter. You should have time to put the Carafe back in place before it starts brewing. Hope this helps and ask again if you still need help. Thanks for Watching!!!

For the coffee-uninitiated: 5 cups =/= 5 x 16 oz cups. A cup of coffee is typically rated at 5 or 6 oz. Most travel mugs are 16 to 24 oz. So really this is only about 1 to 2 servings of coffee, as we know them here in America.
I can't seem to figure out the brew later feature. Can you help. Step by step

Press the Brew Later button and set the time you want to start it using the hour and min buttons. Make sure the Brew later light is on when you go to bed and when you wake up it should start at the time You put in.
1/4 cup coffee to 4 cups water. I also use this for my french press.

No matter how much coffee I seem to put in the filter, it dispenses water too quickly and will overflow the filter thus having a lot of grounds in the pot. Any ideas? Possibly the filters not letting enough water out?
I am having the same problem with the new touch panel mr coffee I just bought yesterday. I have emailed mr coffee with pictures of the same thing that is you are have happen. The only thing I can think is the coffee maker is bad. I agree it is not letting the water out the bottom fast enough or its putting too much water in. On mine I did notice the plunger at the bottom of the filter basket was not being pushed up all the way by the coffee pot. I will update you on what I find out.
@@JustADad I have read some forum pages and they said to put some steel mesh underneath the pot to push the plunger up more and also pre-wet the filter before you put the grounds in. One person said the wrapped their grounds in another filter so there isn't any loose grounds in the original filter.

Is the plastic lid on the pot BPA free?
The company says everything on the coffee maker is.
My coffee pot seems to shut off after 5min - 10min. Then there are times it actually will stay. Problem is when I go for the rest of the pot (No longer then 15min.) it's cold. Any suggestions. Thank you.
wow that's not good, It sounds like it might be bad, not sure why the warming plate is not keeping the pot warm.

Found around 8 of these marked way down but decided to search reviews and I'm kinda glad I passed on it, even if it was only 5 dollars. 4 of them were previously opened so most likely they're returns. That also worried me. I ended up getting the B & D 4 in 1 ,5 cup. It's perfect for me , just wanting coffee before I head out to work .

Does anybody know where to purchase the reusable coffee filter cup that measures 3” around, 2 & 1/2” in height? Would like to know where I can purchase another one due to having screwed up the original one that came with it. Very simple, easy to use and cheaply priced. Cleaning? I was thinking plain water first, then vinegar and water or lemon juice and run it through and then, plain water again after rinsing out the vinegar and lemon juice.

I am not sure exactly why they overflow but if you use a Bunn Coffee maker filter that helps out a bunch. I have another video on what I think the cause is. It might just be a bad coffee maker. the hot water may just come out of the brew head too fast and the coffee filter basket can not keep up. checkout this video and see if it helps. These 3 videos might help. Let me know how it goes.

Found a number on the bottom of the box saying TM-545CMCN what does this mean?
Sometimes they have long model numbers
I bought this about 2 months ago. Husband and I use it every morning. Today it will not brew. There is water, grounds, and the light comes on so there is power. But will not brew.
Sorry to hear that, not sure what that might be, I am thinking of in the future to do some videos taking these coffee makers apart to help everyone.

OK Justa, trying REALLY hard to wean myself off Dunkin drive-through. I'll be living under a bridge if I don't. Found this neat little coffee house down the street. Salter Bros Coffee Roasters. You pick the kind of coffee you want (Colombian, Mexican, Ethiopian, etc.) They roast it and grind it fresh. They grind it for how you drink it (drip, perk, espresso, Keurig single-serve, cold brew, French press, etc.) Roasted to order (light, medium, dark). They even give you a custom label. Then you pick it up or they ship it to you. Man, when I tell you that freshly roasted and ground coffee makes all the DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD, I mean it! The aroma alone is worth the price of the bag. Oh yeah. I bought this coffee maker. Gonna try it with my AWSOME new coffee. If you get a chance, get some. You won't regret it.☕🤎☕🤎☕🤎

You can order Death Wish Coffee online. It is very high in caffeine, 1-2 cups will energize you for hours.
