Queendom genuinely felt like a love letter to Yeri since she joined the group later. It's the group doing their things, waiting for her to join them, being so happy and cheery showing her the ropes and bonding, and then guiding her to join their cult/girl group. It's also a welcome to new fans, saying hey join our wacky fun cult.
I feel like it’s also for Wendy after her accident. She was highlighted a lot and sang “hey here we go again.” I also think the lyrics could be for her, like “I’ll hold you hand.” Just kind of the members being there for her in her extreme time of need. That’s what it reminded me of anyway. I def see the yeri love letter tho, especially in the last chorus when they give her a wand and cheer her on.
Feel my Rythme is a MASTERPIECE! From the classical sample in the production. To the classical painting/art references that make up the entire video is phenomenally executed. Its stuff like this that separate RV from the rest of the industry. And thats no hate or shade on other artists. RV isn't afraid to take big bold risks. And I love them for it!!
Here are the paintings referenced in Feel My Rhythm. 1. Irene transforms into the subject of The Swing (c. 1767-68) by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. The lofty recreated image displays the natural scene of the original painting and Irene’s elegance through her dress and expression. 2.) Joy captures the essence of Ophelia (1851-52) by John Everett Millais. The original painting depicts the character Ophelia from William Shakespeare‘s Hamlet, who drowns in a river. Joy’s upturned hands mirror the positioning perfectly. 3) Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus (1900) by John William Waterhouse shows the head of Orpheus, of ancient Greek legend, after he has died. This less grim depiction has Joy playing the part of Orpheus and Yeri and Wendy shown as the nymphs. 4) Several paintings could be represented in the scene of Seulgi looking over the wall. Though it’s not for certain, the first possibility is The Curious Little Girl (1860-64) by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, a figure painting of a girl in contemporary life. 6) Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May (1909), also by John William Waterhouse, shows women gathering flowers in a field. Yeri and Seulgi copy the subjects’ mannerisms as they reach to pick the flowers.7) Woman with a Parasol - Madame Monet and Her Son (1875) by Claude Monet evokes a bright and lively feeling with a casual family outing. Irene and the vibrant colors used in “Feel My Rhythm” capture this perfectly. 8) The Birth of Venus (c. 1485) by Sandro Botticelli depicts Venus, goddess of love and beauty, on the shore after being born of the sea. Yeri plays the part of the goddess as the others dance around her. Other similarities include the flowers being tossed around and the ground illustrating water. 9) The most thoroughly represented piece of art comes from The Garden of Earthly Delights, a triptych created by Hieronymus Bosch (c. 1490 -1500.) The triptych is a work of art that can be divided into three sections. The three panels display Eden, Paradise, and Hell from left to right. Though the original intent of the artist has been debated for centuries, the art is clearly hugely symbolic in nature. Several references are made to this iconic piece.
feel my rhythm is a masterpiece!!! probably my favorite mv, the aesthetic is just unmatched. i hope you get to react to their japanese singles as well. they have 3 with mvs
Feel My Rhythm is one of my the most favorite life songs from RV. It's just a whole new level. Whenever I listen to FMR, I feel like spring has come. 🍓♥
Yo 'Feel My Rhythm' is one of the best pop songs I've ever heard and one of the best uses of a classical sample I've ever heard. AND they used the "B-Part" of 'Air on the G-String' too, not just the part most people are familiar with. And they play the piece in at least 2 different speeds. And they pair it with Hieronymous Bosch? Love it. Also yes, Yeri raps'hit different for me, too.
Queendom is such a memorable comeback. It really is becaise the last group comeback is psycho. Feel My Rhythm is such a masterpiece and was taken from a classical song, well, Birthday is too. But what I am saying is RV is the who made classical x kpop fusion possible and many groups are doing it now too. Love how you love Yeri!!! My other bias besides Wendy and Irene ☺ live your reactions ahhhh. Cant wait till you see wildside, wendy just became a rapper and main vocal there again and i d worded everytime we see rapper and main vocalist wendy in one song ughhhh. Love you guys
I love all of RV’s music…their tt’s are excellent & their b sides are even better but Feel My Rhythm is an actual masterpiece! I’m really enjoying you both traveling down the rabbit hole that, thankfully, there is no coming back from! Looking forward to seeing you fall more & more for them!
9:11 that’s actually the 1st time Red Velvet mentioned their group name in their song, most SM artist mentioned their name in their earlier years and usually it’s gonna be a HIT SONG
Feel my Rythm makes you ascend, it’s absolutely insane what they did there As an arts kid that grew up doing ballett, they got me immediately and I’m still obsessed The classical sample is form Bach‘s „Air on a G-string“ and a lot of the art inspiration comes from Bosch‘s painting (like the landscapes, birds, and builds) but it also has some Monet and Botticelli It’s just such a visually pretty music video plus the song for me is one of the best of 2022
Yes, wildside, Japanese release. Honestly, it was better than a number of title tracks out there. RED VELVET a mess is amazingly hilarious. RV- Ult everything. Red Velvet Level up is no smoke as well.
Seeing your reaction for Red Velvet is so much fun! I think I should prepare my popcorn for the recording behind of Queendom, Feel My Rythm & Birthday. 😉
OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!! So sorry that I'm late- I am so glad that you guys finally checked these out Red Velvet always have crazy/weird/cool/artistic kind of Music Videos they always get my attention (because of how weird and cool), also y'all got to remember that Red Velvet always switch up their songs like it's insane how they switch it up but it sounds so good- it just fits with the song very well! Queendom was just AMAZING it was basically an appreciation video for Yeri and we love that- it's just such a great video and at 3:05 I just have to say the realization was everything that was funny, at 4:07 this was stuck in my head for awhile I could not stop singing it (it is definitely another cult song along with Ice Cream Cake, Zimzalabim, and Birthday) at 5:12 I agree Irene hit that she is just so STUNNING and so intimidating but also very cute at the same time (I don't know what to do half of the time when I see her), at 6:02 WENDY HIT THAT NOTE and she kept going (and Kess hmm is she the Wendy Bias?) Also at 8:00 this beginning was EVERYTHING with the paintings and then Wendy and Seulgi with the vocals nope this was destined to be iconic, at 8:37 and 12:50 THIS SEULGI HOLY COW I would bow down to her- I mean I already would but, at 9:10 and 10:18 this Joy is just WOW as well like JEEZ and her smile (this is why she is called Joy because she brings me Joy every time I see her smile- just like that fanboy), at 9:14 and 12:40 this Irene is just GORGEOUS she really went OFF on this one, at 9:50 and 11:26 Yeri again IS VERY UNDERRATED and here she is just lethal- also I agree her Raps are FANTASTIC as well, at 10:08 and 12:46 Dude this Wendy as well was just LETHAL and her freaking vocals on the Bridge and the last chorus (everyone's vocals on the last chorus) had me ascending to Heaven holy cow, and at 12:52 and 14:08 these scenes were so freaking Gorgeous and so cool it's just chef's kiss- also yep the Red Velvet switch ups they legit do that all the time and it goes so well get ready for more of those! Anyways I can't wait for you guys to react to more Red Velvet such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships- I can't wait for more Content from you guys and I hope that you both are doing well and staying safe and healthy! P.S. If you ever need any good Videos I could totally help you out if you need it!
You need to watch FMR's performance version🤍 also please watch the recording of FMR...you can see how they are working, Wendy's guiding her members and how she layers every lines of the song💙🙏
“That was out of pocket!!” 😂😂😂 i believe FMR references multiple famous artworks- I only know Ophelia but yeah! It also samples Bach throughout. I am so happy you love the new ones just as much as the old ones!
A lot of the weirder elements of the Feel My Rhythm MV are lifted directly from Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights, which is one of the last things I'd ever use as inspiration for a pop video, but that's why I don't work for SM, I guess!
Maybe on Twitch, Queendom Restaurant 1 and 2 is very entertaining and insightful. 🤗. Plus, the performance video for Feel My Rhythm is top notch and a must watch! Some like it better than the MV. 😂. They sampled Bach for the song and the visuals for this MV refers back to all the many classic paintings… many cues from Bosch’s ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’.
Haha! Feel My Rhythm is my favorite RV title track. Also, you have to react to the Feel My Rhythm performance video! It made me appreciate the song even more. It's a masterpiece on its own!
You need to watch the Feel My Rhythm Performance MV and the MV for their Japanese album, Wildside; and go into their solo albums and the cherry on the cake, Irene and Seulgi's releases for their minialbum of the same name (there are 4 MVs and every single of them is a masterpiece).
hey, just a tip, if you wanna move the video forward or backward very slightly you could press the < and > keys on your keyboard! its useful to notice details in stuff like mvs!
So, the music at the beginning is a sample of a piece by Bach (I think it is called "Air on the G String"?). The sample (including different sections, is reused at multiple points in the track).
And the overall look of much of the video is based on a multi-panel painting (“The Garden of Earthly Delights”) by Hieronymus Bosch (circa 1500AD) All the 'painting' looks, are from actual paintings. (Info provided by ‘@user-fv1dg2eu2b’ in another Reaction video): 1. Joy lying on water ("Ophelia" - John Everett Milley) 2. Irene swing ("The Swing" - Fragonard) 3. Irene with umbrella with Seulgi ("The Woman Holding the Umbrella" - Monet) 4. Yeri Hair Style with strawberry ("Four Seasons" - Mucha) 5. At the End of the MV is the fountain frome from the painting of Hieronymus Bosch , it can be found in The Garden of Earthly Delights 6. Seulgi standing on the ladder ("Lady Looking Behind the Wall" - Paul Dominique) 7. Wendy & Yeri looking at Joy in the water ("Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus" - Paul Dominique) A truly stunning MV ... by a group known for its truly stunning MVs. Oh, and a song to match!
I hope you could still react to their peek a boo mv 🥺 that music video wrecked us so hard! everyone is slaying and the concept of the mv is really interesting.
Don't forget to give reactions for the Japanese album too!! Then react to everything about Red Velvet, because I'm really waiting for your updates.Thank you for all the positive comments about Red Velvet's performance, please give them lots of love as well :)
Feel My Rhythm is just one of THOSE songs! Idk how to describe it but it's just a beautiful combination of vocals, instruments, and lyrics to make a song for the ages. Gfriend has some of those, as well as Oh My Girl! It's like when people say "Oh, that's a classic!"
I guess next It should be Wilside and Sappy , next Unit and solos Monster and Naughty (Irene and Seulgi) Wendy like water and when this rain stop, Joy Hello and Yeri station (( she doesnt have a solo yet)), you can check Psycho cuz Is a máster piece, peekaboo cuz ITS our cult video..this alone Its like a week More lol. TY for your reaction
When queendom released i wasn't a big fan but now love it. FMR Is a masterpiece you girls have to see the performance video. Plz react to Joy's Hello, Irene and seulgi Naughty and Monster, and Wendy's Like Water. Love your RV reactions. RV my queens!
Psycho just sits on a pedestal that they've never topped. It's a song for the history books rather than just a couple years or months. A career defining song
Please don't skip RED FLAVOR and react to their MVs from Japanese albums. Even sm doesn't seriously have plans for promoting them in JP, they have few comebacks with MV and album so you can check it as well🥰 Since you have been through their MVs, you could see how many of different concepts they have tried, it's still ongoing and also if you look carefully, you might see sth connecting to their old MVs and their designated colors, fruits, so on...
At first I am confuse about Feel My Rhythm not sure to like it or what after a couple of listening it has been one of my all time RV songs. It has an element of calming yet upbeat and at the same time is taking me to another dimension every single time I hear it. Not to mention that the MV was inspired by several popular cryptic arts such that of Hieronymus Bosch. This MV made me really really proud as Reveluv. Such a Masterpiece
I hope you react to Wendy's songs. Like Water and When this Rain Stops are healing songs, and she also had a collab with John Legend, the song title is, Written in the Stars.
Be ready to watch red velvet lore. I recommend "red velvet story" by kookielit. I warn you though, I know kpop since 2nd gen and I've NEVER seen a group's concept scarier and creepier than them. All mv's even red ones have deep af meaning with so many dark underlying things
I first got into Red Velvet after hearing peek a boo on produce 48. Then I did a deep dive. They have sooo many great songs. Their b-sides are a treasure chest of awesome tracks. Iif you have time, also check out the Irene and Seulgi releases Monster and Naughty! The MV's are so good!
I don't know if I hallucinated but you said that you might react to their bsides, so I want to suggest one of their best bsides, in my opinion of course, that is body talk (it's from their 4th mini album - Rookie). I'd love to see your reactions to it
You really should give the Feel My Rhythm performance video (under the official Red Velvet channel) a look & listen. It's even better than the official MV 😀
It probably doesnt mean much in reality, but i"ll bite since it sounds cute
Lol not cult tho they have a witch (magical) concept
@@subilynnoweight2090 cult fits them since zimzalabim so lmao
I feel like it’s also for Wendy after her accident. She was highlighted a lot and sang “hey here we go again.” I also think the lyrics could be for her, like “I’ll hold you hand.” Just kind of the members being there for her in her extreme time of need. That’s what it reminded me of anyway.
I def see the yeri love letter tho, especially in the last chorus when they give her a wand and cheer her on.
I mean red velvet are canonically a cult in kwangya so makes sense
Feel my Rythme is a MASTERPIECE! From the classical sample in the production. To the classical painting/art references that make up the entire video is phenomenally executed. fR!. Should've won the SOTY

Literally one of my favourite songs from RV
Was just about to say this!!
Wildside is masterpiece
DO NOT forget Wildside
ㅇㅈ
You might like the Feel My Rhythm dance practice where they are dancing in basically a grand ballroom being pretty ballerinas!
Queens!! The Album, Feel My Rhythm is superb. Wildside, m/v, the next release, is stunning. Thanks for appreciating Red Velvet.
The end to feel my rhythm was a tease for Seulgi's solo
Feel My Rhythm has samples of Bach's arrangement "Air on the G String", it's soooooo beautiful
Im a casual listener but Feel My Rhythm is a vibe, one of the best kpop songs of 2022
I dunno about y'all but I love Feel My Rhythm cause know...I KNOW SM put all their SMussy into making that absolute masterpiece!
Best red velvet title track for me. It's indeed their masterpiece
What the hell is smussy

👏👏👏
A storyline runs through their MVs and they always have a dark meaning behind their happy and cheerful beats
Feel my rhythm dance practice version is amazing as well! The outfits are fire! I'm living for Dark Seulgi!
I agree completely about the Feel My Rhythm MV, probably my favourite from them, and one of my favourites in general
feel my rhythm's performance video is a must watch!!
feel my rhythm is a masterpiece!!! probably my favorite mv, the aesthetic is just unmatched.

There's a running gag in the fandom because of how sharp Irene moves her hips during that part

B-side album Birthday ~ Wildside ~ Sunny Side up ~ I Just ~ Talk To Me ~ Zoo
Queendom and feel my rhythm are fun to listen to, but the next drop they made was Wildside , and that song is amazing
I love all of RV’s music…their tt’s are excellent & their b sides are even better but Feel My Rhythm is an actual masterpiece!

RED VELVET QUEENS 😭😭🥰🥰😍😍
Hope you can upload your reaction of RV’s bsides here on youtube cause I’m sure many people would want to see them!
The MV's are so good!
you gyus neeeed to do see wildside! is the velvet on its perfection
I don't know if I hallucinated but you said that you might react to their bsides, so I want to suggest one of their best bsides, in my opinion of course, that is body talk (it's from their 4th mini album - Rookie). I'd love to see your reactions to it
you guys should listen to the song wendy made with john legend... even tho its not a group song, its still epic.
QUEENDOM is freakin CATCHY !!
