imo japanese comebacks for groups sometimes slap harder than the korean ones. I dont mind the language the song is done in, im sure if it was sang in korean and had the same exact composition i would love it. But if it was a song catering towards the korean fans and gp im sure it would have a different sound.

The best thing about wildside imo was hearing yeri and irene sing some pretty high notes compared to what they usually sing! Really showed off their vocal prowess!
Their Japanese tracks are fire, easily could be Korean title tracks. I was waiting to see the jaws drop when Wildside came up. Imagine if Wildside got a full Korean style comeback & promotion. It would've possibly been one of their top songs like Psycho & Bad Boy.

I haven't caught up on your Red Velvet journey yet, but I will go ahead and post here. "Sappy" is my fucking jam. I don't care how many people don't care for that song. The beat is goofy and all, but their vocals remove my fucking soul. Joy and Wendy floor me. With no exaggeration, Joy's run during the first pre-chorus gives me shivers EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Ugh.
LMAOO that fact that all the reactions that lead up to wildside is SO ACCURATE !! Because watching Wildside for the first time is something that can't be put into words on how PERFECT THAT SONG IS!

I don't really understand why, but SM Girl Groups (across all Generations), all have absolutely Fire Japanese releases.
One of the reasons why I loved their japanese tracks is because Yeri and Irene are given more chance to sing. They are given long lines and can definitely showcased their vocals reminding everyone that THEY CAN SING TOO! They are good in rap, yes. They are good dancers, yes. But I will never shut up how underrated and unappreciated their vocals are. I really love their voice so much so I love hearing them sing more.
And wildside gave it to me. They gave me Yeri and Irene main vocal material vocals and I also got Wendy main rapper material. All five of them are just so good individually, more so, combined. That's what makes them untouchable and unreachable than any other groups.
I binged-watched all of your reactions to red velvet and i must say that I enjoyed this one a lot. Like really~ lot! And I think you are all being bias-wrecked by Yeri. Can't blame you, though it's so hard not to have a soft spot for our dearest maknae. 💜

Before, Bad boy was my number 1 song from Red velvet, it was sexy, every lyric grab you it was great but when they drop Wildside, OMG that song is amazing, songs like that are their strength, it is the perfect music video, perfect song , perfect sound , i just wish people appreciate this song more,, for me Wildside and INVU by Taeyeon are the songs of 2022 , those 2 songs are perfect In my opinion, and yes i said animal farm is a masterpiece among other songs but Wildside grab me and i love it, this is why red velvet is now on my number 2 spot, they just keep getting better every day, they never lost their touch, there is no skip song from Red velvet because they are all great
Love how they perfect every concept they've done, their voices are chef's kiss, and their music production is truly top-drawer level. They don't appeal to as many people as twice, blackpink, other top groups (even though they are right behind them) bc of their diverse music, but thats also their biggest strength. Even tho you dont bop to one of their songs, you still appreciate the musicality of it. True artists. Thats why I love them.
Check their full Japanese album "Bloom" from which WILDSIDE is the main single, #CookieJar and SAPPY are also included. What I love the most is how they give Irene and Yeri more room to shine vocally.

Y'all sorry I'm late- I've been busy but HECK YES, I have been waiting for your reactions to this and to be honest my reaction was the same as both of yours combined I actually LOVE all of these Music Videos pretty equally (DUDE ALL OF THEM ARE GOOD IN THEIR OWN WAY THEY ARE INSANE), seriously all of them are great and actually they do have a Japanese Album I believe they do have Japanese B - Sides that are iconic! Okay #CookieJar is so iconic literally everything about it is amazing (the vocals, visuals, rap, just everything is great)- at 1:55 Irene looked GREAT here like Ma'am settle down we are barely in the MV, at 3:16 JOY WHAT THE HECK she is absolutely stunning she definitely killed this era, at 3:27 OKAY WENDY WITH THIS LOOK AND THE RAP AND DANCE WHAT, AT 3:56 this Seulgi is just WOW like girl STOP, at 4:08 Yeri I swear is so cute but so lethal at the same time, oh and at 5:34 honey NO funny thing that you said something about the zombie dance as well- there is a theory about this Music Video (basically they are cannibals and they go out and kill these people in the woods I think, definitely look it up I'm not fully sure- but that's why there are so much clothing in their food they forgot to take off the clothes of their victims)!
