Hey Victor. I'm 14 and from South Africa. I really love your videos and I do alot of offshore fishing here in South Africa. It is my dream to meet you and I hope one day we can go fishing together
Congrats again on y'alls first home together. Here's to many many happy successful years together in it. The house is coming along great. I figured you were busy with it, don't worry, I'm a subscriber for life. Been here since the beginning and not going anywhere.
Brook must have picked you all out one MASSIVE dining table for all those chairs. Who will be the "mystery guest" at the first ever Brook & Viktor catch/clean/cook? Looking forward to all the videos from the new digs 👍
Congratulations on your new house. It looks quite nice and I hope y’all let us see a bit now and then as it comes together as your new home. I don’t know anything about saltwater fish. I’ve only ever done fresh water fishing. But y’all and Darcizzle have my nephew (15) and myself planning to take a charter out and try to get as many different species as we can. We have fishing flowing in our blood and can’t wait to try saltwater fishing. And I’m definitely going to be trying your recipes as soon as we can get out there and catching.
not gonne lie i missed youre videos for the last few weeeks! keep em coming. winter is on its way for me and fishing is non existent for me in the winter because i have no ice fishing gear. counting you youtubers to get me through the winter for fishing videos
I am sending my best wishes to both of you, from the outset of your first vids I knew you both have what it takes to be successful, and its always a pleasure to see you both getting it done with enthusiasm, but on a personal level you both are so good for each other and its heart warming to see, and now back to the sharks lol well done to both of you.
I remember being in Tampa Bay in the meeting place of three individual storms and hearing the Coast Guard flipping out on the radio with a small craft advisory and telling all smaller craft to get to shore as soon as humanly possible. I nailed the throttle on my four 225 Hondas and we were back in shore in around 12 minutes from 4 miles out of John's Pass. There were six of us on my 25' Bayliner that day, and I seriously can't tell you how much I miss those good old days. I moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when I was 14, moved back to Brandon when I was 16, moved back to Pittsburgh when I was 18, and have been here ever since. I can't tell you what I'd do to move my wife and kids back to Florida (where my parents and sisters all live), but her parents live here and she couldn't leave her parents, even though I left mine when I was 14, and again at 18 because I was diagnosed with terminal cancer three days after my 16th birthday and I am now 20 years in remission. God has blessed me, but I would also LOVE to move back to Florida with my wife and sons.
Congratulations on your new abode. Way to go. Enjoy that kitchen. I'm looking forward to watching you and Brooke cooking in it. You two are kickass fishermen and chefs.
i’ve been watching ur vids for almost 3 hours straight..i want to go salt water fishing sooo bad. i’ve only been freshwater fishing and caught bass ahhhh ikkk i’m a noooooob
Cooking wine? I've always been told not to cook with something you wouldn't drink. You can use a little pasta water to thicken your sauce. Love your show. Congratulations on the new home!
Unfortunately it's quite a frequent occurrence. As they said these "trash" fish might taste just as good in many cases, but it's not fair to charge exorbitant prices for them while lying to customers and saying they're something else. If there is nothing actually wrong with the fish (not super high mercury levels, tastes good, can be fished sustainably, etc.) I have no problem with a restaurant serving it and me paying for it. But don't goddamn lie to me about what you're feeding me. My dad actually went to one restaurant where if requested they'll serve the fish with their heads because if you can see the head generally you can tell that you're getting what you paid for. Apparently, there are these two species that look alike (in terms of meat) and taste super similar but one has a much higher mercury content and thus isn't really safe to eat much of (it's been a while so I don't remember what the species are!) with their heads it's really easy to tell them apart, but once filleted it's quite difficult unless you're an expert. Dad would always request the heads, look at it, nod, and then take the head off and cover it (he didn't really want to look at the head while he ate, lol). He said the restaurant never got it wrong, but he'd rather know for certain what he was eating and that he wasn't being scammed.
Don’t be shy to start including “our kitchen” or “our garage” in your videos. Start blending the videos together between you and your fiancé. You two are amazing together and you should be proud to say things our both or yours instead of trying to stay separate and individuals in your videos. Best of luck!
I love you and your Fiance's channel....the ONLY thing that nags me, is Brooke's dad never waits for everyone to be seated before he starts eating. As soon as food hits the table, he will dive right in, and Brooke or yourself will still be in the background, still getting things together for everyone lol. Much love to you both and the whole family
I always hate to hear fishermen call a fish trash fish just because they think they are too good to eat it or have listened to someone else call them that. I have seen so many videos of people eating these so called trash fish and it proves my point. Thank you for showing people that they are not trash fish.
It's all delicious when you douse it all in butter! Baby Almaco jacks remind me of the shape and texture of Tilapia. I call them salt water tilapias. Great stuff though - with or without butter...
I wanted to tell you guys you make a awesome couple and you both have fantastic you tube content, I myself fished out of the Boynton Inlet for 48 yrs and now I live in Tennessee and and I have my own you tube channel making BBQ and other dishes but I have to say my friend I have missed you making videos, because your family is the best. Congradulation's to your new house, that is awesome I wish you guys well. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND GOD BLESS YOU GUYS.!!!
Hello Viktor it as been a long since last time! welcome back! and Brook like your new house hope you will do lot cook in that new kitchen Keep up the good work!
I hope you got an induction stove because they are the best for cooking. I have used one for five years now and just love it. It is faster (one cup of cold water 55sec to boil) than gas stove by far and safer (I use parchment paper between the pot and stove top when deep frying to keep the stove top clean) than those hot glass stove top. The only low down is you have to use magnetic bottom pots( that is a magnet has to stick to it). I have two Lagostina set of pots and they are perfect, easy to clean and cooks evenly. It is nice to see a young couple building their home and future. Try to not be influenced by all the media and so forth to build your home. Your parents and close wise friends are all you need. Don't take anybodies word for the truth but research and analyze. It is fun watching the both of you. Bye for now from Quebec Canada
A year late but im a new subscriber Congratulations 🎉 i have been battling covid for 21 days now and you videos are the only ones that doesn’t give me anxiety and trigger heavy breathing thank you vic and brook
Hi Guys like your show from NZ. I think a good taste test would not use so much herbs and spices. For the last 40 years I cook in butter and put some self raising flour with salt and cajun into a bag, mix and put the fish in to lightly coat the fillets. Cook till just right then eat, Cheers Peter

Had almaco jack for the first time like 2 or 3 weeks ago. Easily one of my favorite eating fish now. It's delicious
How many times do you think stores and restaurants sell us the cheaper fish but charge premium prices
All the time

Great to see you back. Please correct me if I'm wrong but its my understanding that
Jacks carry worms including Almaco's .
Larger jack species can, but they are harmless to humans.
