- Its no new news to my fellow Peasant folk that Jessie has been one of my favourite, fully projected onto, character of Final Fantasy 7. Seeing her in the FF7 Remake was perhaps one of my biggest anticipation and what did we get? THIRST! Unquenchable and unyielding that I was beginning to question if they had only used Jessie Raspberry as a fourth dating option. But in #Dreamspace is it possible she was more? A red herring in the trippy plot of Final Fantasy 7 Remake that was being used to point out the 'performance' of the Remake. This theory goes really hand in hand with my other FF7 Remake theorys on the Peasant channel. Namely the ones I link below.

Ending and OG story Spoilers:
Cloud is in the Mideel Lifestream trying to get his memory back. Dead Aerith is helping Cloud from the lifestream to get his memory back. Aerith knows her fate and events that happen in Midgar because she’s already dead and in the lifestream.
When Cloud has flashes of the future, it’s not the future, (plate falling, Aerith in the altar and the holy materia dropping to the water) it’s events he’s already experienced up until he handed the Black materia over to Sephiroth in the northern crater. We never see definitive events past the point where meteor gets summoned. I believe the nanaki vision is a misdirection/false trail technique by the writer so we don’t figure out the plot.
Arbiters are there to make sure Cloud remembers correctly because Sephiroth/Jenova cells inside him is still messing with his memories.
The ending fight was Cloud regaining control over Sephiroth’s influence in his head. Aerith knows that the Sephiroth fight doesn’t happen at the highway and she low key mentions it.
After Cloud beats Sephiroth in his mind, he no longer need the arbiters because Cloud can finally remember what happens next with no interference.
The stamp dog we see at the end is Cloud’s real memory of Stamp. The stamp we see earlier was Cloud’s false memory.

Usage of "psyche!" in older American slang (and I believe how it is used in Remake) is when you play with someone's mind (like getting them to believe something that isn't true) and then revealing the joke by jabbing "Psyche!" at them with a mischievous smile to bring them in on the joke and back to reality.
Yup Pysche is the same as saying. "Cool shoes.....NOT!" "Cool shoes.....Psyche!". It's 80's slang.

@@AlleluiaElizabeth That moment, when she closes the door behind her, gave me for a moment the impression of Cloud considering to try to open the door to see if she have left it open. There is no sound of a lock. When he finally decides it was not a good idea, that Wedges is right and he probably is misinterpreting her advances, she opens the door and said Psyche. The pace of the whole scene was amazingly good. This guys have perfected the science of acting through animation!
Think Loveless. This theory really hits hard when I thought about the NPCs at sector 7 who basically give away the ending of Remake by talking about Loveless. The Play. The new version of Loveless is basically the same. Except. They change the ending....😳

The ending of Loveless being changed is actually mentioned in Crisis Core the original ending of the book was lost so the plays version was made up and is not the only version out there. It part of the whole Genesis thing he thinks he living out the play but the ending isn't the one he think it will be because the play doesn't just have one ending.

Considering at the food truck the NPCs were directly mentioning the change of Loveless differing from how it's known (metaphor for OG FF7) Lovless as the metaphor not having a definitive ending makes this whole new timeline thing that much crazier. Meaning multiple ending could happen, even clash. Because everyone is fighting for a different ending. Sephiroth, Aerith, the planet, Cloud...they all want it to end a certain way. 🤯🤪😂

Imagine when they finished reliving their memories, the game then resume in original ff7 graphic and style for a segment of the game.
In terms of what's going to be changed, I thought back to those 5 visions that we saw during the battle with the Arbiter of Fate...
- Red's Cubs
- Meteor
- The Final Battle
- The White Materia
- Aerith's Funeral
Those are the 5 major events during the coarse of the original... Is Square Enix implying that those events are going to turn out different? A chance to change them?
I mean... They have to be showing those specific events for a reason...
Maybe Square is hinting that these are the immutable events.

The Whisper when Jessie tells Cloud that he's not coming on the next mission... I think it's there because Cloud *has* to come on the next mission. And the Whisper's like: "Did I just hear that you're not bringing Cloud? Nuh-uh. Time for some final destination shit."

So I have something for you. I was playing through FF7 Remake and noticed/heard something that never fully registered until now. During the final battle with Sephiroth, and the entire party comes together. Aerith says “we can do this, we can, we can make it right”. It is bluntly clear, that Aerith has knowledge of the original game, and is trying to maintain the course of the original game. Hear this, what if, Sephiroth from the OG, discovered away to control/manipulate destiny by means of becoming an arbitrator himself. Notice in the final battle, when cloud delivers a powerful blow in the cut scene, Sephiroth disperses into many whispers.
Think about what I noted Aerith stated above. If she is trying to “make things right” implying to maintain the OG story/outcome, than why vanquish the entities that’s primary job is to maintain the OG plot. Unless, destiny is being manipulated/controlled by Sephiroth, which is why, Aerith is for defeating the arbitrators of fate. Is it possible, she knows, that the original Sephiroth, uses Fate itself, to defy destiny. Remember the edge of creation scene, when he ask Cloud to join him. He stated “Let us defy destiny.....(pause) together. Implying that he’s done it, by himself. Now wants Cloud to join him. I am assuming, that the OG Sephiroth needs cloud, which is why cloud is spared. The edge of creation....Look into the name of that realm, the edge of creation. That’s where everything began, the lifestream, Destiny, Fate, that is the beginning of it all. Why take cloud there? Work with me here. Had cloud accepted Sephiroths invitation, at the edge of creation, what would had been the outcome? Fact of the matter is, we do not know anything about FF7 remake part 2, however the edge of creation is key. That scene is not only the Future of the game, it’s literally the Beginning as well.....It’s a lot I know, and the grammar may not be the best, but please hear it out.
I just want a Jessie-Cloud dance duo scene at the play, akin to the Honey-Bee Inn.

Oooh now those points I was lightly playing with don't seem so nuts, of Loveless or the play getting a rendition that has a deviation in it. Something around that area and Jessie could be a great trip out spot.

I've got a theory that no one else has seemed to bring up. What if there is only the one timeline and the differences we see with Zack living and the different look of scamp are just the results of the plot ghost being defeated and not being able to have prevented changes to the timeline? The group goes through the portal and fight Sephiroth in a sort of pocket dimension. What if when they come out they're stepping into the same timeline that Zack lived in and throughout the next game they're going to be noticing a lot of subtle changes and it will remain a mystery till about 2/3s of the way through when they run into Zack and they start to figure things out.
Remember the ending of Loveless was lost in... Crisis Core? I don't remember, but I think it's Genesis who keeps quoting it then says the ending has been forgotten and lost
@@avalonkemi That's interesting, yes, Genesis did say the ending had been forgotten and lost, so how would some random Midgar woman know that the new Loveless' ending is different from the original and why would she expect anyone else to understand that?

Thinking about this, someone else commented that this could probably be the dream sequence from when Cloud is in a coma in Mideel, which could be a viable theory. The lyrics also say:
"Foolish and blind, to everything.
Had I realised? Had I thought it through? Would you be here in my embrace?
Shine bright, once more, show me your smile.
This time, for sure, I'll see the truth hidden inside your tears.
But I, I know, that you're long gone.
But I, I will, go on howling and hollow."
To me this says that Cloud is dreaming his regret, he wants to go back to when it all started and change the outcome with all of the knowledge he has now. Maybe Cloud himself is the anomaly which is why he's experiencing the headaches and visions and the Whispers come after him? The Lifestream is trying to stop him? This could also explain why all of the other characters are acting unusual as well. By Cloud going back and changing the timeline he's allowed for the other characters to fall off script hence Jessie's bizarre nature, Aerith seeming like she knows what's going on, Sephiroth knows he loses and tries to change it and many other things. This Cloud might not be Mideel coma Cloud but post-AC Cloud in his depressed state?

As for the Jessie pizza thing, I think she was referencing lingerie to tease Cloud about her true intentions for the night before psyching out because she is just very flirty and Cloud is super awkward.
Here's a mindblown theory, the entire Remake and OG series were all dreams of Cloud while he was still inside Hojo's Mako tank next to Zack.
I didn’t even pick up on that, but Jessie wasn’t on the second mission in Remake. She was definitely on the second mission in the original. That should count as a significant difference in time travel theory. Any little change should affect the future sequence of events.
There are so many memory-traveling references in this theory. Maybe instead of traveling in one person’s memory, they’re traveling through the lifestream’s memory.
Plot Twist:
We all were captured by Professor Hojo, who keeps us in the Matrix
Yeah, i think the power of dreams, or a simulated midgard (by technology) is likely, since cloud is able to see events that are imaginary. The characters could be simulations or representations of the life stream, since several of them say weird things about the future. Aerith definitely knows something about the future, and the characters seem to be taking some things in a playful way. So, something weird is going on with final fantasy 7 remake. I think it's just the lifestream turning things into reality in an attempt to produce a positive outcome in the end, and sephiroth is trying to produce a different outcome in which he succeeds. So Aerith will probably survive for the test of the game or die at a later point and in a different way.
For those that are hating the fact that this isn't an exact replica of FF7 for PS1, do you really want to play a game in which you know exactly what will happen next, or would you rather think about the new mysteries and implications of the remake. This is a re imagining because square is attempting to surprise players again. And the word remake doesn't mean an exact replica, it can also mean re doing something in a different way.
When The Whispers touch Cloud he was able to take some of the visions of the future could The Whispers was there at section 7 when he first arrived back on the train from the opening to Mission you saw one with a fly past you right before right before you catch up with Jesse Biggs and wedge before you arrive at the 7th Heaven opening a whisper actually flies on past and member Cloud sees it so I'm wondering if Cloud was able to get a glimpse of the future by them just be in the vicinity that might have more to do with it than what that other Theory

I for one never subscribed to the simple “it’s stime travel” theory. Your theory here is closer to my version. What i think of FFVIIR story, is that time in Gaia is connected by the lifestream, so everything in the history of Gaia all happens at the same time, but also at different time...if that makes sense to you. So, basically, the lifestream itself is a thing that’s not affected by time in Gaia, but connected to every eras.
To make it simpler to understand what i mean, see lifestream as the body of a three, while times in Gaia as every tips of its branches. That’s why, when we fought the whisper at the final stage of the game, the same thing shown happening in Zacks final time. Everything happens at the same time, while at different times. That’s why Zack somehow saw Midgard being covered by whispers (VIIR timeline) and blown up by meteor(Original VII ending scene)...because the whisper do their job through the power of lifestream, and what happens in VIIR final stage is a big enough event that they all throughout timeline branches basically get a peek of all Midgard’s timelines through the body of the three itself, Lifestream.
Pretty much the difference between your theory and mine is that i don’t think of it as a dream world, instead that Lifestream is connected to all timelines at the same time...which means, whoever can manipulate Lifestream, can do whatever they like with the history of Gaia. It’s similar in concept to what Ultimecia from VIII meant to achieve, to rule over the history of the planet...she’s basically want to make something like Lifestream to connect every era on VIII’s planet (i forgot the name of the planet).
Btw, do you know...the scene when Barret go stabbed by Sephiroth in VIIR, and got saved by whisper...leaving not even scar on his body...it basically answers the long time question of how Squall was not dead after getting stabbed by an icicle by Edea, and not even a scar left on his chest. This is also a point in the similarity of time concept between VIII and VIIR. I think they might actually came with the idea of the story of VIIR with their whispers, from their original idea of the story of VIII 😏
Time is a flat circle in the lifestream. As opposed to a straight line.
Also, I don't think Zach is in a parallel timeline. He's alive in OUR 'timeline'.

Yeah I think only one timeline exists within the stream and all that is happening is its replaying with 2 characters (Aerith and Sephiroth) entered in, the current 'extra' corrupted state of the lifestream playing a more corrupted version of the same OG story. Negative emotions & desires amplified.

So the different puppy logo at the end, it doesn't signify a different timeline to you? Very interesting. I mean i never thought there could be 2 different logos in the same timeline but why not? They make sure you see the pup logo is different than the logo you have been seeing throughout the game. Making a lot of people think its a different timeline but it might be the same. Hm..i must think more on this now.
@@LunalovaniaGaming I think, unlike other "time travel" stories, it doesn't create a new branching timeline. It actually changes the current one in real time. Memories, matter and events. That's why stamp is different. That's why Zach sees the whispers swarming midgar.

This guy gets it. This is exactly how I took the events of the remake. It’s taking place inside the lifestream. Specifically, the memories in the lifestream. All the evidence points to that. Even Zack living and Areith knowing more than she should, because the two of them have been able to hold their form within the lifestream. Zack probably saved the other members of the avalanche crew but he can’t let anyone know he’s there because cloud needs to experience his memories again to retain who he is, Zack being around would screw this up. Sephiroth is screwing with the planet from the inside and Areith needs cloud help to fight against him, but she needs him and everyone else to relive his memories so that he can retain who he is and be able to help at all.
Now I may lose you. I think there’s three parties at work, Areith Zack and the FF7 crew, vs. Sephiroth and Jenova, vs the planet’s will/Minerva and Genesis.
Tho I will say. I don’t see Jessie as all that important. But thank you for thinking outside the box of either time travel or Zack is about to die like he was supposed to. We can’t limit our thinking like that. They are going to do their best to subvert our expectations. The answer won’t be simple and I’m glad that’s the case

I still think there's something to Jenova being called "Jenova Dreamweaver" to be honest...the only thing that makes sense to me is that everything post the Jenova fight was some kind of a hallucination, but guess we'll have to wait and see.
I'm wondering if they just built up Jesse to get us to like her and have the feels when she dies, much like we did Aerith, so they have an 'out' for not killing Aerith later on.

My cousin and I were just having a conversation on this. I was skeptical, but now I'm on board.
The deviations start before Jesse they start when Cloud is delayed leaving sector 1 then Areith gets harried by the whispers to keep her in place so they still meet. In fact the reason Barret most likely excluded Cloud was because he mentioned that incident to him.
This might be crazy, but what if, and follow me now, all or most of the remake is what is going on in clouds mind as/while he is in the life stream from og. It would be able to explain pretty much everything. The dreamstates, whispers, the various persona of sephiroth, how aerith is able to talk to cloud (while she was kidnapped by shinra) [not sure which of the 3 scenes is canon], and how something from another timeline can be there (or maybe it is a vision of future boss fights).

Now this isn't linked to your theory here which is an interesting theory!!! But I'm curious to know peoples thoughts on Leaf House. I've replayed FFVII:Remake twice now and I'm on the third replay now. This orphanage never existed in the original game however what we did have was Advent Children and a large majority of those who ended up with geostigma were children... I feel like there is some link here also the area around is greener, the reason flowers grow by Aerith's house is because of Aerith and her area of influence has expanded past her home and around this orphanage... Plus my theory that the dream sequence was actually 'original Aerith' rather than current Aerith... There's so many things to think about and take into account. I can't wait until part 2 I just want to see what is going on because boy we could theorise and go on for ages...

Sephiroth uses the lifestream to become the anomaly. This is backed up by the novellas, in which it is explained that the lifestream flows in both directions through time. He has seen the end of the world and needs it to stop or he will truly die. As long as Gaia's lifestream exists and there are beings with Jenova cells, he will continue to exist. With the death of the planet, and no way off of it, the cells of all beings with Jenova will die. This is what he explains to Cloud in the final chapter. I'm a bit confused as to why there are so many theories when it's pretty clear cut if you pay the slightest amount of attention and do some research into the lore beyond the remake.

I hadn't noticed that they lined up events in the remake to happen during Crisis Core in the OG timeline. I now have to assume parallel timelines ala Chrono Cross rather than just time travel ala Chrono Trigger. Yes there are characters who have traveled back in time, but we now have a timeframe that lines up with OG cloud being comatose at the finale with Jenova Cells and Mako Poisoning. It seems more likely that this is Cloud's Dream while under the influence of Jenova Dreamweaver.
i hope alot of these theories/plot point have a deeper meaning and do eventually get explained... after getting invested in all your FF15 theories and then seeing how that story turned out

hi pez to all ppl asking or wondering about the song HOLLOW and the lyrics that has point or meaning on the event on the remake or should i say if has something to do in the remake story i think it has.... imao...... i think this remake is what cloud asking a another chance in the song hollow and even in advent children cloud want to see aerith again and keeps looking for her he even telling tifa that he promise aerith that he will find her no matter what and even aerith in the novel "the maiden who travels the planet she want to reunite with cloud so what if this remake is what cloud nor aerith wants to you know hehe and in the song Lyrics has this line "this time i will never let you go" so that lyrics can be either cloud or aerith wish that this time they will never let them both go hehe

Im still with the timeline thing cause of advent children, but the way they wanted to have ff x and 7 be the same world the lifestream/pireflys being connected with "time and memories" that again the spell sephiroth did in AC traveled towards the past to when Cloud was probably lost in the lifestream. But also the mention of Wedges line of "life's a stage and love.." maybe this is the final half of LoveLess. There is a lot in the side games in the ff7 universe that can change stuff around. AC might have shown us. Who knows.

I don't know if you covered this yet or not or if the you brought it up in the past and I haven't played the game yet although I've been watching a lot of videos on it what if this game kicks off the moment that cloud fell into the life stream in the original final fantasy 7 or maybe the original final fantasy 7 happened while he was in the life stream. With everything you've said about the life stream an aeris and sephiroth being everywhere any in multiple timelines. It would make sense to me that either a. Cloud and the events of final fantasy 7 happened while in the life stream as one possible outcome Or B. final fantasy 7 remake Is happening in the life stream. I believe the 2nd is more likely considering the dream like state and references being made in the remake. So maybe right now in final fantasy 7 remake Cloud is currently in the life stream and Eris is trying to reach him and get him to understand something so that he can come out of the life stream when he does completely different than how we did originally so in essence maybe final fantasy 7 remake is a hiatus of potential in the final fantasy 7 Original world and that when he comes out the events will play out differently. If that is the case then this game could alternately Become several parts rather than 2 or 3 or 4 and in turn would generate way more revenue and height for square enix

The biggest hole I see is, why would Yuffie be spreading pro Shinra (read anti-Avalanche) propaganda? Even if you could convince me that the immature ninja was capable of the grandest of deceptions, I don't see how this could help her cause.
If Kirie didn't show up in the books already I would be 100% convinced she was Yuffie in disguise in the remake. The voice and attitude fit. Just give her a different haircut and she has the same look.
What if the remake is just Cloud's memory of the "game" replaying for him whilst he is in the lifestream during the original FF7 and influenced by the lifestream entities.
I agree with that not being different time lines. I think Sephiroth and Aerith know the future because of being linked to the life stream. Her job is to protect it and Sephiroth wants to change it. She gets cloud involved because of his relationship with Sephiroth and him being the only one strong enough to stop him.
Not related to this video but I’m wondering if you know about an official novella written by Nojima called “The Investigation Unit Within The Painting”. It is part of the FFVII Remake: World Preview book for which the English translation is coming out on the September 24th. The story give more insight into Aerith’s time in captivity with her mother and also explains the origins of the painting in the Shinra Building. It might possibly hint at how Aerith knows things in the Remake. It gets pretty dark but it is a very good read.
Try this theory: Jessie is a double agent like a turk. If she's always acting then she's overcompensating by thirsting for cloud and she's only an actor as a cover and maybe she's using her father's situation to get avalanche to screw over Shinra. And she's employed by Rufus to also help him to overthrow president Shinra
Jessie as a secret Turk? Now that is interesting. I have often thought that Rufus would throw secret support behind the groups going after his father in an attempt to see his father slain and then Rufus would then swoop in and end the groups as his first display of power to the public. So if Jessie was a Turk all along then it could explain a few things about her that seemed kind of off. Like when they were getting the parts for the second bomb. What if that was part of a mission to lure out the more violent Avalanche to make some chaos for his father and to get the people of Midgard worked up? Not to mention we know that in OG that branch of Avalanche never attacked the Shinra building when the party was getting Aerith. What if Jessie did make it out and was continuing her duty as a Turk but was keeping the fact she's still alive from the others because it might risk her getting revealed as a Turk?

Even though I just attributed it to her professionalism, the fact that Jessie was so worried about her bomb's explosion being too big left a funny feeling with me. If, though, she's worried about Shinra deciding she's gone rogue...and with the added fact from remake that Shinra might be using Jessie's family as leverage...if all this does pan out, I would not at all be surprised to find she works under Reeve. 🤯

She clearly cares about what she's doing enough to warrant her being on Reeve's side and yet her actions could be someone high up in Shinra, like Rufus, using her as their puppet. This explains the mega guilt she felt over the bombing, as someone from Reeve's team would want to not drag the public into any danger or harm, as well as her knowing where things in Shinra, like bomb building materials, can be found. It's also a little hard to believe that Jessie's father just happens to have an up to date security card that works for the building the bomb parts are in when we know he worked at a reactor. There's no way a reactor employee's card should work for that warehouse too. That'd be a huge breach of security if it did.
@@futotesan Working under Reeve that's interesting. Plus they didn't explain why the guards were killed during the the infiltration mission and they just assumed it wasn't Jessie. She also just has materia to spare and is missing for most of the sector 7 part? Plus if Biggs lives then who's to say Jessie isn't alive and helped Biggs get to the orphanage? I have a feeling we'll see her again at Gold Saucer

If this ends up holding any water, I am HOPING Jesse becomes a straight up party member in the next installment. A character that can take advantage of all the items and or explosives you normally don't use in FF7? I would not mind that. Plus, now that's an excuse to make her a date option in general.

I’m not quite sold on the idea of it all being a “dream” just yet, but I do like the notion that it’s a “simulation” happening within the Lifestream. It really puts the scale of the grand fight to a whole different order of magnitude, especially if it becomes a fight directly between the Lifestream and Jenova, using the FF7 ensemble cast as its “warriors” by giving them a chance to literally “remake” the timeline (which is the same as the “memories of the Lifestream”, being the source of all life on the planet and having dominion over it).
Trying to logically put together what’s going on here is impossible. The guy who made this game made Kingdom Hearts’s story

I'm pretty sure Marche is mentioned at a little food booth somewhere, I think sector 7, as background dialog. So I think these things are just processed food items available in Midgar because let's face it, not like they are growing food or importing enough to feed everyone. I think I figured out the game!! What if Part 1 is cloud’s sub conscious because of the mako poisoning and the ending with zack surviving and carrying him is the actual story.

I've always thought multiple time lines was a bit farfetched especially when you have whispers involved. If there is different time lines, you need multiple ones, infinite ones no doubt, where everything that can happen happens. Why then would you need whispers to ensure one particular timeline plays out the way it should. You wouldn't. Essentially you would only require whispers if there is only one timeline, one chance to get it right. That being said I still think its multiple timelines lol
Why if Time is a circle, an endless loop, or maybe trapped in an endless loop and key people are able to keep bits and pieces of their memories from the last loop.
This could explain Cloud's flashes of the future, Jessie acting the way she does, Sephiroth seemingly knowing more than he should and already having the wing. This could also explain the Whispers activity. They are trying to prevent the events from changing, not realizing that someone had locked the Planet in a loop and that only by changing the events can the Planet move forward in time.
Who could've put the Planet in this loop? The first suspect is, of course, Sephiroth. But what if it was the Planet it's self that put the world on this loop? The Whispers might not be aware of this fact because they are operating on the past and the Planet set the loop in motion many many years in the future, thus the Whispers do not realize that changing the events is what the Planet wants, or maybe they are not even speaking with the Planet after having been created. Maybe the Whispers just see what they think is a possible threat to the Planet/events and act without any idea what it might actual do to the Planet.
Maybe both the Whispers and the Weapons, upon creation, no longer hear from the Planet. They only know what their mission is and do their damnest to fulfill that mission.

Okay PEZ you at the very least make a compelling argument that not only is there some timeline messing going on, but it might there might be some reality bending going on and the timeline messing up might be a consequence of that rather than the other way around.

i think this remake is what cloud asking a another chance in the song hollow and even in advent children cloud want to see aerith again and keeps looking for her he even telling tifa that he promise aerith that he will find her no matter what and even aerith in the novel "the maiden who travels the planet she want to reunite with cloud so what if this remake is what cloud nor aerith wants to you know hehe and in the song Lyrics has this line "this time i will never let you go" so that lyrics can be either cloud or aerith wish that this time they will never let them both go hehe
