Pez, Aerith is waking up from a vision at the final shot of OG FF7. The remake is her trying to change fate, while the whispers try and stop her. Meanwhile sephiroth is also trying to change fate. It's as if Aerith and Sephiroth are playing a time and space chess match, and I love it.

~Aerith does preserve herself within the lifestream, and it's through her own choice, or she could simply become one with the planet, and ending her very existence, but she never chooses too, because she needs help dealing with Sephiroth first, how does one truly defeat Sephiroth? and yeah Aerith can return to the planets surface demonstrated in ACC or On a way to a Smile illustrated in the Lifestream White. I, II, III, as herself or as another individual, which puts a stop to the reincarnation theory, lol.
If reincarnation is the case for remake part one how do you explain Chadley a AI created by Hojo?
And also wanna add it doesn't matter if Cloud is killed in remake, Sephiroth would still exist within the lifestream, creating remnants like he did Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo through is own will and not through the will of the planet itself.
If he existed in the lifestream, after Clouds death, the more the pure lifestream (White Lifestream) becomes impure (Black Lifestream) As Sephiroth would say "Choking it and corroding it"~
So how does reincarnation fit into truly destroying Sephiroth, and him wanting Cloud to complete his reunion with Sephiroth as to allow Sephiroth gaining his physical form again, and what has reincarnation got to do with changing destiny?
Anything to debunk parallel timeloops, I guess! parellel timeloops also means that with timeloops it doesn't essentially mean that all the compilation occurred in the same timeloop. In remake there is 3 Aeriths, ACC, CC, OG Aerith.
Now with the true Jenova in charge of destiny for part 2 the reincarnation theory is now pointless, another way to debunk reincarnation theory or being recreated through the knowledge and memories of the lfestream itself. It could all be an illusion created by Jenova. Zacks fate changed, remember he has J-Cells and can't become apart of the lifestream or the planet again, because of his J-Cells, so his fate has been changed thanks to Jenova herself. This reincarnation theory has so many loop holes for it to properly work, lol.
Sorry about the long comment you would be more interested in the 1st two or three paragraph. 😆
I'm going to say it once more in remake we have 3 Aeriths, ACC, CC, OG Aerith. "I Need to tend to the flowers ME, MYSELF, AND I. Which only strengthen timeloop theory and the compilation never occurring on the same timeline as OG FFVII.

My issue with this theory is that advent children hasn't happened on that final scene of og ff7 so Sephiroth should not have his wings on ff7r, unless Sephiroth went back into the ff7r timeline whereas aerith woke up from the final scene of og ff7 instead of going back to the original opening of ff7

so its like a sequel to the first ff7, but a matchup between aerith and sephiroth on trying to change the past .. present and future's faith ! very interesting, inspired by theories of consciousness, the spirit that is eternal, the ancients probably had knowledge of eternal creation , i hope we will come back to the village of the ancients in the next episode. and maybe Zach will be a playable character ! that would be cool

I think the reincarnation/cycle theory is supported by this scene between Rufus and Kadaj in Advent Children:
    Rufus: Hm. The nightmare returns.
Kadaj: As long as you exist, the nightmares will come again and again.
Rufus: The Lifestream courses through our world… ever flowing between the edge of life and death. If that cycle is the very truth of life, then history, too, will inevitably repeat itself. Go on, bring your Jenovas and your Sephiroths. Cause trouble till your heart’s content. We’ll do as life mandates, we promise. We won’t let you win and we’ll stop you.

Ive played that segment over and over in slomo, and if you look closely, Aerith actually closes her mouth and changes facial expression in the last frame. the way they set things up at the end of part 1 makes me think that maybe the outcome of Zack's battle with the Shinra troops changed because of something Cloud did at the "Edge of Creation" after Sephiroth left, though I doubt Zack would go into hiding and not somehow send Aerith a message that he was in fact alive
But then again if he is alive and left the sword with Cloud somewhere in the slums it could be in an attempt to fake his death and throw Shinra of his trail while he secretly aids Avalanche under a different name to bring them down so he can finally stop hiding and be free
It would be pretty insane if Zack shows up at the last second and saves Aerith from dying the way she did in the OG and confirms this "remake" of the planets memories theory, and also lends a hand in helping Cloud get his own memories back in order

I think "Zanarkand" Midgar manifests at Sephiroth's will and he chooses for its "cycle" to start at the moment in time that Aerith opens her eyes at the alley. Every soul/memory that lived in the OG Midgar when OG FF7 started also manifests in this dream-Midgar, but ONLY from the point of that alley onwards. Hence, Cloud practically spawns on the train and has not slept anywhere in dream-Midgar yet. This is why he has to get shown around and introduced. By extension, Zack doesn't even manifest in dream-Midgar because he was not alive in OG Midgar by the start of the game. He appears in Remake, but not in dream-Midgar. This is the only thing that makes sense to me concerning where the hell cloud slept in Remake. I had to accept that something is really going on when you mentioned that detail.

  • @PiedraDeIjada
    @PiedraDeIjada 4 года назад +6

I still think the theory even goes back to the OG. For me it's the scene at the end with Aerith that mirrors the beginning of the game and Remake just continues after that. And while I don't think they planned this far ahead it makes a good foundation for spinning the Remakes story in such a direction.

This gives me chills. I've already supported a theory close to this one. But more focused around Aerith. Being that in summary the OG was her vision of what is to come through the lifestream. Hence why we she her kneeling down at the lifestream at the beginning and end in the OG. Thus, making the remake her living this out. Making the needed changes to save more of humanity. A lot of other things with the visions and midgar as shared and similar in both.

When I seen the ancient paintings on that wall with the people that had on robes, now that we get a good look at them, when I look at that wall, I see the old summoners that used to take part in the pilgrimage to save the world from sin. If 7 and 10 are connected then Yunalesca, Braska and Yuna are the ancient summoners that protected the world. 8 seems to be connected to this universe too, and with Ultimacia there is a distortion of time because of what she did. It might have us all come back to FF VIII at one point because of that, and if things really get messed up, we might even see characters that exist in the far future or far past, in the current present not knowing how they got there. So many possibilities.

When someone tells me they dislike FF7R because it wasn't a 1:1 recreation and 'they changed too much,' I'm going to point them to this video. It perfectly verbalizes what I've been trying to since I saw the credits roll. Good work.
I do have one minor gripe (it doesn't really change anything, but I feel like it's worth mentioning if only because of what it could maybe mean). The part about the way the Cetra are depicted in the original versus the remake - I don't think it's fair to take that VR promo at face value over the depictions we saw in the Temple of the Ancients, unless whoever made it did so with express knowledge of their history. The entire thing felt like propaganda, an idealized version of what the Cetra could have been like to appeal to whatever Platelet happened to be watching that demonstration at the time, airships and all. That said, if that VR reel is anywhere close to accurate, the implications all pretty much fall in line with the theory overall.

    • @heflitothev-hog3730
      @heflitothev-hog3730 4 года назад

Too be fair, while I totally get why alot of people like the remake and can acknowledge it's merits. I do hate the narrative about the 1:1 remake. Most people who don't like the Remake(myself included) didn't want a 1:1 remake. We just wanted an actual remake not a reboot, sequel, ect, ect. Too be honest alot of the minor changes and areas the fleshed out in the Remake, I did enjoy. I didn't expect a PS1 game to be remade shot for shot on PS4. I just didn't want them to make an actual different game. But, even still, if they had been more transparent about it and hadn't been so adamant they WERE making a proper remake, and I went into the game with the proper expectations, I may have appreciated it more. Anyways, rant over. This video was really good, and an interesting take.

    • @SnakeActual
      @SnakeActual 4 года назад

@@heflitothev-hog3730 The transparency thing, I get. Making informed game purchases is hard enough with story-driven games without spoiling yourself, never mind one from a dev that's intentionally misleading. Factor in the reverence for the first game, and yeah, I get it. What I don't get is, expectations aside, why a continuation of FF7 is such a bad thing.
The way I see it, what we got is a marriage between the original FF7 Compilation stuff and new content. Very rarely is a remake of any story-driven media completely faithful to its source material, so what consumers are often left with is the choice of accepting character changes, plot retcons, and general revisions of the existing canon that they already know and love, or hating them. With FF7R though, the originals are preserved. If any of the timeline/parallel realms/lifestream construct shenanigans theories are correct, no canon is overwritten, and the story and characters instead evolve and continue without alienating the original base. That, to me, is almost always preferable to changing existing stories and characters to suit a modern remake--but that's also purely my opinion, and there's definitely something here that I'm not seeing, so instead just leaving it at that, I thought I'd actually ask you (and anyone else that wants to answer):
Why do you prefer a remake over a sequel? Is this your preference generally, or just as far as FF7 is concerned? Did you dislike what they're doing in FF7R? Is it just not what you wanted? Is it more complicated than any of that?

its because ffxii and ff15 are totally separate worlds? ff13 is Pulse and ff15 is Eos. I think maybe you are getting confused because they both fall under fabula nova crystalis but that docent mean they are in the same world. the games that are part of the fabula nova chrysalis all have similar themes and borrow ideas from one another, so ff13, ff type-0, ff Agito all have L'cie, Fal'cie, a trio of primary deities in pulse, lideze and Bhunivelze. despite all this ff13, type 0 take places in different worlds with Agito being the exception as it was a prequel of sorts to type 0. ff15 was designed to be similar where it would have l'cie and fal'cie and the trio of gods but due to the fan backlash of confusing terms such as l'cie and fal'cie they pretty much removed all mention of them. the woman on the ff15 logo was originally Etro the goddess of death again tying ff15 to FNC, despite all of this they were never set in the same world

As far as Midgar's design itself being different...just look at how it appears from the ground. If you look up at the reactors, you'll notice they're much taller than they should be. And the large door with the black and yellow caution colors is basically missing when you're roaming around Ch. 14. While your theory could explain why the design is inconsistent, but I'd say it's more due to how they probably have multiple different models of the city. The version from the FMV is different than the skybox renders we see in game. Not sure why though. That seems like a very odd way to "hint" at the idea of multiple Midgars when the first thing that comes to mind is that they made a mistake with the renders and consistency.
And I think the Cetra settlement having the 8 pillars was probably just Shinra propaganda. They basically believe the world belongs to them...so why not make an obvious parallel to the Cetra in their VR hologram so the average person in the FF7 world will be all "oh, of course. Shinra is good and right."

  • @MairusuHayashi

The parallels with FFX are so apparent with the two different Midgars and the dreamspace theory. At first I thought maybe it was a lazy development thing, but the details are too many for it not to be intentional. The weird thing is that the destruction in the singularity Midgar is it's being destroyed but leaving it at the same time, like the purple tornados are ripping a copy of the terrain...like it can't be changed or something. Plus you see a ton of the lifestream particles, the same as when Aerith was visiting Cloud in the garden. I also found a weird thing in OG FF7, if you look at the original scene when Zack dies, the layout of Midgar is different, like the reactors how they count around Midgar are reversed and the damage to one sector is not one that should be damaged. However, it's an old game so that one could be just random Midgar backdrop for detail haha. It's just crazy to think that there's so many inconsistencies (the good kind) throughout ALL the games. I'm so excited for future parts!

In the ending it is revealed that the amnesia and personality change was caused by her genetically engineered twin possessing her. The heroine went into the past to prevent the parasite being the sourve of the trouble from coming to life or sth. But by altering the past she prevented the organisation meant to stop it from forming. So she goes back another time and then she finds the time machine broken and herself unable to undo this. The ending with the wedding is convoluted but the heroine tells her sister to shoot her at the wedding. Only this way the loop will be restored. Her loved one notices he change, walks away and abandons the heroine at the altar.
The player's knowledge of what happens is turned into a plotline the chars react to and try to change.

Maybe they will do something like this to trick you into a false sense of security regarding aeriths death in order to replicate the feeling of great loss you felt in the original back in the days.

OKAY THIS HAS MADE ME REALIZE A BIG POSSIBILITY
The theory that every change in this new "cognitive" lifestream/memory construct of the world stems from a desire that someone had in the original "real" world (at least before Aerith and Sephiroth start messing with it) would lead me to the conclusion that the Whispers have a slightly different purpose than we thought. If the purpose of this new world is to let all the souls in the lifestream live out their greatest desires, then it would be up to the whispers to make sure that all of the major events happen in spite of those changes, not just to make sure the original timeline happens exactly the same. In that case, maybe the Whispers actually needed Zack to live in order for the main events to happen??
As a side note, if Elfe from Before Crisis was able to live out her greatest desire, it would probably be to have stopped Fuhito's plan before he was able to even put it into action. Thus, she would be the true leader of AVALANCHE, and it would make sense for Barret's group to be labeled as "too extreme" for wanting to use one of Fuhito's old ideas (I think) of bombing the reactors. Also, Veld's desire would have probably been to save his daughter, so they likely found a way to get the materia out of her, and I'm guessing he would be working with Avalance now as well.
I guess my point is, of all the theories I've heard, this one definitely is the best in terms of how many of Remake's changes to the original story it would explain.

Pez, there is a scene in advent children where kidaj and rufus are talkjing before the behemoth fight, they talk about history inevitably repeating itself and rufus explains that sephiroth would be defeated again and again.
it becomes quite clear from this scene alone that we are not dealing with just a single world but a universe hence the final scene in ff7R P1 with cloud and sephiroth being in literal space. The ancients are more than just people who can talk to the world, they hold the power to literally see and travel through time, this explains perfectly why only sephiroth and aeirth seem to be aware of the happenings, and the ghosts of fates and their understandings.
The Plot of the remakes is a renewed story/history with changes that are completely different to the ff7 of the past which will mean that we can expect to some understanding that the outcomes will be different however much will remain the same

About the 2 different Midgars: Keep in mind that the first image is from a pre-rendered CGI cutscene that I'm assuming was handled by an external VFX house and the other is an in-game cutscene using the in-game assets made in-house by the dev team. I noticed a weird disconnect between the CGI cutscenes and the in-game stuff. In the CG stuff, Aerith's model looks completely different, her face and eyes look off and Cloud's skin looks really orange so it's possible that the details of Midgar have inconsistencies because of that.
However since were dealing with potential alternate realities, chaos theory and multi-verse stuff, it's entirely possible that there is infact 2 Midgars (or many more), it would explain the 2 Stamp bags since the other Midgar could be Zack's reality which has it's own constants and variables. I'm still onboard with the alternate reality theory and think Square took heavy inspiration from Bioshock Infinite, a game that is also based on alternate realities, time loops and foreshadows its plot points in very subtle yet blatant ways.

It may explains how Aerith and sephiroth traveled to the past through the life stream and what Aerith needs to do stop sephiroth from coming back from his death ( Aerith needs to destroy jenova by using her ultimate limit break called great gospel. Also known as healing rain ) . She did do this in advent children when the rain cured the people that had geo stigma . The same rain also desolved the 3 remnants of sephiroth ( also destroying jenova cells ) .

So, the party in effect are helping sephiroth change fate by destroying the harbinger. This remake series is actually their own doing! Anyone else?

Lucavi is a wigned woman that sleeps in the core of the planet for millenas and need a suitable body (the body of Alma Beoulve the sister of Ramza) to return to existance... she was probabily sent there in the time of ff7 or after but not before, she was sent there by St Ajoras and his twelves knights holders of the zodiac stones (maby a link why Sephiroth and Jenova stats are differents if you use or not the materia "Knights of the round")... and there is no mention what so ever of the meteor or having two moons or any events of ff7 in fftactic...
just like if everyone in ff 7 had suddently rejected their homes and forgot their past... and waited until most of the ruines were burried and started from scrach on top of it... to become the world of ff tactic... and further more become ff 12 and his sequels... i mean the time line was already set no???
maby all this will anser why peoples of Gaya suddently passed from an industrial time to a medieval time... i mean if Shinra find a new green and safe energy and the world is now safe, that would not transform the futuristic world into a pre industrial state... Ramza Beoulve would have lived in a world more like Zanarkand and not a world like lord of the ring... or maby Cloud finaly beat Sephiroth phisical and spiritual shape for good at the price of the reset of the technology and ff tactic is the battle against Jenova???
or maby Square Enix will just forget ff tactic references to ff7... and wont connect thoses games any further...

I hope this is 100% the case. It makes the context for not only the remake but some of the extended universe games mean something different. It would mean that it's possible that crisis core and before crisis are both simultaneously prequels and sequels. They are events that happened before the original but are probably representations that occurred in subsequent iterations. It makes it as if sephiroth is the main character and each game is a different instance he arrived in at a different point in his life and understanding of his purpose and abilities which would explain why technology in Crisis Core appears to be more advanced than OG and AC, about equal to DoC and Remake and why it appears he may have been resurrected.

I still think it's a dream. When Cloud goes to sleep after Jessie's mission Sephiroth tells him "Dream the sweetest Dreams" and he suddenly wakes up to the swarming arbiters that they can all see suddenly and obviously the arbiters changed fate through the story after that but what if its the memory loss the errors in his memory are of Sephiroths doing and it's making him weaker? He goads Cloud to get stronger through the game but I think Sephiroth is just trying to claim him as he pushes onward to get stronger. Eventually once the group somehow shatters the illusion and he remembers the truth, Sephiroth will lose his hold and cloud will become stronger than before. I'm probably wrong but watching that scene over and over and noticing the dialogue after the arbiters attack it just seem too...convenient. Small facts like Barret wasnt mad at all to get cloud back on the team, the way they all encourage him completely (right after they all celebrated without him) almost like an imagining (or DREAM) of him wanting to belong to them. Just seems very off to me.

Multiple time loops. FF7 for PS is the starting time loop. Aerith starts FF7 looking into the Lifestream and in the last few frames of the game shows Aerith looking into the Lifestream. FF7R begins in the next loop with that same finalle Aerith looking into the Lifestream at flashes of events from FF7. Both she and Sephiroth (and now Cloud) have information from the future, causing the timeline to deviate. The Whispers were the force through which Time prevents the unravelling of original events, but they're gone now.
TLDR: Buff gave himself a gambling book.

What if "Remake" didn't stand for "this is a remake of an old game"?

This. Are people seriously gonna believe the next Game is named Part 2? After they wondered why the First wasn't named Part 1?

@@pasi22222 Like come on, it's freaking Nomura lol. Wouldn't be surprised if the next one had a different word that starts with "Re".

    Here is my theory:
FF7 Remake / Finale will be the BEST ending for the fans.
    The whispers.
Who survived in Remake and who doesn't in OG?
Cloud's short vision of Aerith death in OG!
Red13 vision. Remake is full of little hints.
    Zack.
    My conclusion:
The OG ending was actually a bad ending.
It's on point why they named "part 1" Remake and not Midgar, nor chapter 1.
I can't wait for the name of "part 2".
This time team Cloud doesn't only battle to save the planet.
They are now able to fight against their own fates.

i'd argue if your theory has weight, the space is not so much an illusion as it is actually reality, being reconstructed by sephiroth sending memories to his past selves steinsgate style

"one or two Midgars? its a small price to pay" Hojo, when prepping the Sister Ray for second shot... might be leaning towards him being VASTLY different in future parts.
