This is a nice catch. lol I would have put it in this video if I had noticed that sooner! Thanks for watching! appreciate you taking the time to comment as well!

So, I just wanted to mark a couple of occasions here. this video just hit 10k, and blew past 500 subs after part 2 released. I never expected the video/channel to get anywhere close to what it did in such a short period of time. and I just started making these less than a month ago, and since then its been a blur! I can't really describe how it feels to not only see how many of you actually watched this, (at all) but seeing how overwhelmingly supportive of these theory videos you guys have been since the beginning. Your engagement in the comments, your supportive attitudes, your well wishes And your love for the game has been so awesome to see. I am very glad to be apart of that in anyway. I just thought that all of that support just deserved recognition, because I am just very grateful to you guys. I hope to make the rest of this series just as engaging in the future, as well as future content. Thank you to those who have stuck around, thank you very much for watching! and thank you for making any of this even possible.
You deserve way more views and subs. The amount of research and effort put into your videos is amazing. I hardly ever have the attention span to watch a video longer than 10 minutes but I sit through your videos and want more at the end lol.
Congratulations on your success. I love ff (even when I don't like them). I had so many feelings about ff7 and so many ideas I just needed to talk to other people with the same love of the game. I love unique theory videos from people who have researched ff7 because that was my 1st instinct after beating it. I found so many connections I love to see when other found them too maximilian dood and action button both hit the nail on the head for me. But Solider 1st class brought my attention to the books that put the story in total perspective for me. However Ffpeasent brought up unique ideas that got me to look at things I knew in different ways. hes the reason I'm interested in your outlook cause you brought something new that made him see something new that showed me angles I missed and I didn't miss much. So I love being surprised by new ideas, it also helps me be more prepared for anything that makes sense. So in the next one plot ghosts dont chew holes in my sanity. Anyway good luck and don't mind me I just like chatting about ff.
Lol that would be something. Not sure if he would see it, but he was the reason why I started looking into it to begin with. These theories are a lot to consume in one sitting and mine being as long as it is, I appreciate you taking the time to watch it.
FANTASTIC video. One of my favorites I’ve watched since finishing FF7R! And man I hope Max Dood sees this. I would love to watch/listen to a discussion between the 2 of you!
I personally believe that Biggs wasn't revived, but that he was alive the whole time (and possibly Jessie too). We never get to see Aerith making that deal with Tseng, so it's possible that, as part of the deal, she asked him to fly and get Biggs and Jessie from the pillar, before the plate fell. It would explain why Biggs is in a bed inside the Leaf House, a place in Sector 5, just like Marlene was also brought to Sector 5. Jessie's glove and headband might mean that either they're left there as mementos to remember his friend who passed away, or that she was saved as well and those items being left there symbolize that she's quitting Avalanche to pursue her career in theater, meaning that we might see her again when we get to the Golden Saucer.
Also, when you think about it, all throughout the way back to Sector 7, Aerith keeps insisting on not giving up and trying to stop death from happening. She even gets Wedge to convince the guard to open the gate and let people evacuate. She made that change happen without using any special powers, long before the whispers were even defeated. I wouldn't be surprised if she took that step further to ensure Biggs and Jessie made it out alive.
I never really got how people knew it was Jessies' gloves! If you could explain that that would be awesome! Either way I appreciate your comment! thanks for spending the time posting/watching.
@@Sleepezi Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts on this! Well, the glove that's left on the table is identical to the ones Jessie wears, and no other character seems to have the same gloves, not even Biggs. You can distinguish them by that plate/armor they have.
@@Sleepezi The design with the red band and metal plate is specific to her. It's also worth pointing out moments earlier we see sector 7 refugees in sector 6 with a view of the plate underside featuring an intact sector 7. I don't think this is simply a continuity error given how detail-oriented the game is and also how we're shown a Seventh Heaven sign that has damage more consistent with its appearance in chapter 12 versus chapter 13. I think you could extrapolate that what we're seeing is chapter 12's result without the interference of the Whispers, which I think would make Jessie/Wedge's survival more believable.
Something else to point out: sephiroth tells cloud to "hold on to that hatred." And barret says to Tifa after the plate fall, "hold on to that anger." I wonder if the Japanese version is the exact same word? Also, when barret says that, the camera focuses on Cloud, as if he thinks of sephiroth in that moment... not sure what else to draw from that concerning sephiroth's ability to be anchored to cloud but it was a nice detail.
@@tjbattle7920 Because he somehow found a Way to break out from the FF7 Universe - but i was just joking ;) This still wouldn't explain why cloud is also there
Me yesterday "Never played the game because i didnt had a PS1 when younger, but never really cared about it". Me today "I need to play this shit, where is my wallet?"
lol this got me, sorry for not replying sooner! Id like to know your opinion when your finished with it. either way super appreciate you subbing and watching. Made my day!
It's true how much weight Crisis Core really carries. I have always maintained the notion that Loveless is the narrative for FF7 after playing Crisis Core.
I'd imagine a lot of us came across this video because Final Fantasy Peasant highly recommended it. I'm really glad he did. This is definitely one, if not the best FF7R explanation video series out there. Keep it up, Sleepezi!
Pez has sighted much of my work. some of it publicly and some of it not. But for the most part I am grateful to have you guys show up and take the time to watch! so thank you very much!
Thank you for saying so! Yea this was the first part of the theory that cracked things open for me, because it frames a huge amount of the intent of the characters in FF7 remake. in this video I talk about Sephiroths intent more as it does a better job of covering FF7 remake, but there is a lot more to that that I am expanding on in Part 2.
I also think you should definitely have a discussion with max dood about where the Remake is taking us. Especially with all the story elements being scattered around 5 games right now. Keep up with the great work so far 💪 👍
Came here and subbed from Final Fantasy Peasant. Great channel dude. I genuinely thought I knew everything about FF7. . I've read the entire script in English and Japanese. . I watched countless Garland the Great videos where he bugs the game out as much as possible. . I've watched and completed level 1 challenges. . I've played and completed Speedruns, discovered glitches. . I've read through countless documents of undiscovered/unfinished assets, dialogue, items etc within the game. . Done 100% completion, every character to 99, every limit break, every item, every materia mastered, every enemy skill. . I've read every single pre-alpha to BETA idea's that werent in the original game. . I've read streams and streams of interviews with the Games original cast, their opinions idea's and directions for the game. . But this has just blown my mind completely out of the water, this is by far one of my favourite RUclips videos and I can't believe your theory series is over 4 hours long on 3 parts! You've got a sub for me dude, this granular details and theorycrafting is what I live for and I can't thank you enough for....re-invigorating my love for FF7. FF7 and compilation for me now has an entire new meaning and I can't wait to play through them again with your new ideas in mind! P.S. The Water theme throughout is mad. When you use her FInal Limit Break in the original FF7 - Great Gospel...it rains as she looks up...
your dedication to the game builds a much more solid resume than I have with these games. and it seems like a massive love for the game thats being expressed here. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and your support! any more love towards the franchise is a plus for me! Thank you for pointing out the limit break, that is some interesting stuff.
@@Sleepezi sorry if it came across as me show boating. I only said that because it highlights what an amazingly well thought out Theory and Research you've done. I can't wait for your next video dude, I can't remember the last time I was excited and anticipating a RUclips video release!
@@taylorniall5756 lol no need to worry, that is not how I interpreted it at all. honestly I love seeing how much you guys love the game, so when I see someone such as yourself who has poured so much into the game get excited to go back and play it with a different perspective, its just all I could ask for.
Wow, your attention to detail is phenomenal. I never noticed any of this stuff, and I've played all the games in the compilation many times. This is fantastic.
I am glad to introduce any new concepts to you guys! I am also glad that a seasoned FF7 fan can enjoy these videos all the way down to the new Remake fans! I appreciate your support, and thank you for watching!
Dude, thanks so much for taking the time to dive deep into the lore of the various media and pull it all together. I had a pretty solid grasp of how Remake connects to OG, but you blew my mind several times here. Your presentation was clear, easy to follow and, most importantly, very entertaining. Please keep making more videos on FF7R and all FFs!
I really appreciate the complement DBlurr! It really has been a fun experience getting into all this stuff. and it is unbelievable to see this kind of response from you guys checking out the videos! I will absolutely continue to get into the nitty gritty with you guys! Appreciate you watching, and thank you for taking the time to comment!
Oh my god, what you're explaining and theorizing in this video, it makes so much sense. That the planet was trying to trap Sephiroth and Jenova so they wouldn't become a threat to the whole Cosmos, how could I miss it ? What the specters and Harbinger are, the purple color, what Sephiroth was trying to do in the Remake ... your theory could be canon for all we know, because like I said, it makes so much sense O-O I love how you included all the games of the FF7 compilation and talked about the Lifestream, Minerva and loveless FF7 Remake is a sequel, and oh my god we freed a godlike Sephiroth ? And Cloud is like an horcrux of Sephiroth now ? Oh Gaïa the continuation of the remake will br epic
Epic is very much the word that comes to mind. lol I am very glad that the video clears things up (at least for now) The compilation is super important. it becomes more important every day I research. There is just too much info to cover and just goes to show how well constructed things are in the compilation leading to Remake. I really hope you enjoy further parts of the series, and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment! Thank you very much!
@@Sleepezi there will be further parts ? I already watched part 2, but if you're still making some analysis maybe I should watch for further discoveries from you about FF7 Remake then ^-^
Thank you for making this! I caught on to the purple thing by the end of the game, and luckily had been recording, streaming, and taking screenshots. I also found it funny that people saw the harbinger at the end, and shouted "Kingdom Hearts" despite the darkside being tiny in comparison, and the harbinger appearing to essentially be a whisper-form WEAPON. Of course, people like to be willfully obtuse about things and swear up and down. A lot of folks still think the ending fight with Sephiroth was Nomura's doing, when in fact it was Naoki Hamaguchi who wanted to have the party face Sephiroth in Midgar.
I think that once the dust settles people will see it as its own thing. And not compared to KH. Its only because that the only parallel that can be made right now because we don't know the entire story yet. I think that Kingdom Hearts has its own separate issues, and they aren't something that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is (not to be overly dramatic but) re burdening us with its concepts. I think that Nomura has a great hand in why things are the way they are in FF7 remake, but as we know he is not the only one involved. There are some things that I am going to be attributing to his hand in part 3 most likely. I think that sephiroths inclusion in part 1 was hard to handle, it was a big decision, and there was a lot to be thorough about on their part. I think under that mindset they did what they could. His presence gave us a lot of information, and did a lot with his character, and created a lot of mystery. Thank you again for sharing your ideas! a lot of fun things to think about! If you are a kingdom hearts fan, there is content I have been kicking around making for that. (not a theory video.) but just a heads up!
I'll be honest, for me it's the power scaelling. In the original game you're like lvl 20 when you leave Midgar, nowhere near ready to face Weapon. But this game you're ready to face this new Weapon that protects Destiny and easily beat it. Just feels like it undermines the original if we call this thing a Weapon.
@@Sleepezi as on the money as ever i came to that conclusion too from the footage of the dirge of Cerberus ending and the end of ff7r where sephiroth godes cloud
I appreciate your collection that you got going on there. Lets combine forces and share each others stuff and kick our feet up. What do yea say? lol thank you very much for the support. and thank you for checking the video out! I truly appreciate it!
@@Sleepezi LOL funny because at the start of the second video I was like ok I'm gonna have to load a huge bowl for this. Great job btw Sleepezi (subbed)
Thank you very much! Part 2 will most likely be out tomorrow. I just got done cutting together the audio, and am starting the final pass through on the edit. So stay tuned!
Absolutely magnificent video. You have expanded the horizon for what we can expect from the future parts of the remake series. One thing to note; From my memory, the only reason Sephiroth got dispersed in the original game when Cloud beat him, was that he had put a certain amount of his memories and will on reinforcing meteor. This means that now, having reabsorbed his memories and will from the original game, this is the ultimate version of Sephiroth we are facing. Also; We know from AC that Sephiroth was augmented by the negative lifestream he had created through infected Geostigma spirits. Perhaps this negative lifestream will have a role to play again moving forward. Perhaps this even connects with Aerith's comment in the Remake, during the scene in her personal cell with her childhood drawing, where she mentions being lost in a maze. Perhaps the negative lifestream takes parts of her away or contains her? I guess this could also be referencing how, in the original game, Cloud mentions that Sephiroth was blocking Holy and containing Aerith (possibly in the white Holy Sphere before the final battle). Cloud's line was something like "Her smile is frozen", and he further says, in the correct translation, "We must set her free". I believe all the dialogue we've been given is intentional in the remake. Also interesting is Sephiroth's remark to Aerith before entering Destiny's Crossroads: "Those who look with Clouded eyes see nothing but shadows" (or in Japanese, "Perception Clouded by Sentimentality"). Clearly he's telling Aerith that her feelings are obscuring her ability to see clear, most likely directly referring to CLOUD and her connection to him. Anyway, these are just some of my thoughts. I am looking forward to Part 2. Your videos will be mandatory watching for everyone moving forward.
I really appreciate the compliment, and really love what your putting down here. Yes, the sephiroth were facing is close to the ultimate sephiroth we know...but not the ultimate. imo the second strongest version of sephiroth faced. but that is why I wanted to categorize him outside of Advent Children, and instead give him a separate name. (also I love the name Harbinger Sephiroth. Idk. lol) I agree, the negative lifestream has not really been brought up in any real way, but it has other characterization in other forms in the compilation. I think that the negative lifestream, in my opinion, is most likely a contaminated lifestream that has been refered to in my video over and over. I really have a problem with the fact that Sephiroths/jenovas influence is categorized in so many places with a different name, that being said I think the lifestream is no different. its hard to distinguish it as its own thing outside of what we already know Sephiroth/Jenova are capable of. if that makes sense. I love all of this stuff lost in translation, the sephiroth one does a lot to back up a point I am making in Part 2 of the video during areiths segment. I agree that him directing this at Arieths statement is not coincidence. I love the thoughts, and I hope you enjoy part 2!
What started as a "Nomura moment" tweet (you know, when someone points out everything is connected) recommending this vid finished with me opening my third eye on FF COMPILATION. I knew I had to finish the original VII before REMAKE and boy was I right. At first I was only a fan of Advent children but now I'm more hooked than ever and I'm so pumped for REMAKE PT II, I wish your Minerva and Genesis theories become true as I believe there is a lot of lore to grab and present. Awesome!!!
Thanks for commenting / Watching Yes Were going to get into that weapon detail you pointed out in part 2, but as for the other things you mentioned... The size of some of the info I am covering in part 2 made it so there wasn't too much time to elaborate on some of the details of loveless. But it will definitely be covered. Hope you enjoy part 2!
So I don't know if it was missed, but one of the reasons Cloud is tied to Sephiroth is the experiments done on him during his time in the Shinra Mansion. It's referenced in Crisis Core that Cloud took the S-cells from Sephiroth and is the first true perfect specimen of Hojo. I can't remember if it was a conversation or a note that revealed this, but I distinctly remember it being there.
You are Right! he is infused with S cells, but the only thing that deems him to be a 'perfect specimen' is the fact that genesis hasn't tried using his cells to cure his degeneration. he doesn't get that far, so its not 100% confirmed as perfect from my understanding. because of his jenova cell link, aka his S cell link he is tied to sephiroth, same as Zack Thank you for watching the video! appreciate the comment.
26:01 - 26:51 is a very probable theory that I definitely think should be the case. It would explain the "4 Sephiroths" as confirmed by the Ultimania without getting really wacky with it and literally having us fight 2 Sephiroths. Also as a side note, I decided to revisit this series in preparation for Intergrade and it still blows my mind. Can't wait for the next video.
It is a pretty heavy implication that has doesnt it? I heard it while watching the movie, but I ended up not putting it in the video. not sure why. Thank you for the sub and for watching dude. I super appreciate it!
I'm betting when they are standing at the "Edge of Creation" the red mass behind Cloud represents Chaos, destruction of the planet, and the white mass in front of him represents Omega, the journey of the lifestream to it's next destination (of course these are Dirge of Cereberus references). These represent both aspects of Sephiroth's ultimate goal essentially. His desire to destroy the planet to absorb the lifestream in Chaos, his journey to the next system via the lifestream in Omega. My guess anyway.
It would be an interesting representation of them showing themselves, I cant go into too much detail, because I am still researching this. BUT Because you are suggesting something similar to what I have discovered: there are references to Dirge in the end of remake that I think I have found. Dirge plays a bigger role than people think. A lot was set up and thought out. I believe to some of the more interesting plot elements I am hoping for in Remake. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Wow, thoroughly impressed with the time and effort you put into this. I never played any of the FF7 compilation (only 7 and the remake), so having everything explained so well and how the entire story just blends together was super cool. Keep it up! Can’t wait for the next parts!
Thank you! Its very nice of you to say. It definitely took some time to put together and organize. I am glad that the video was able to put some things into context. but yea FF7R is super layered. so much in fact that I think that you can enjoy the game (maybe apart from the ending) without having to dive deep in to enjoy it. Kinda a hard feet to pull off so hats off to Square. Part 2 is being worked on! so just stay tuned.
I didnt really know what to think of the ending when I first finished the game but 3 runs later and days worth of theory crafting videos I am hooked! Would have loved to stumble over your videos earlier but there are still Remake games left so I am excited to join you now on our journey!:D
Glad to see someone go into the connection between Sephiroth and the colour purple, and him absorbing the meteor. I had the same thought about him being unlocked from the Harbinger. But why did Aerith want any of this to happen?
Holy hell, this is most detailed, expansive analysis I’ve seen as of yet. I think you might be incorrect on some minor points, but the major ones you make, do make the most sense out of everything I’ve seen. Subbed & looking forward to part 2.
I really appreciate that. I agree with your observation on the minor points, I think I didnt do the best job elaborating on some things, but I am taking all of that into consideration for the next video. Thank you for the Sub, and I hope you enjoy part 2!
I have actually watched your videos before! I am super astonished that you watched. Thank you so much for this support, it is highly appreciated! I hope that the part 2 does it for you as well. again, thank you.
Dirge of Cerberus was anime, but it was very relevant to the compilation. I mean I get why people don't like it, but I guess it's a guilty pleasure for me.
Small detail that could be useful in the future, the Cetra were a migratory species (interplanetary) in search of the promised land, some Cetra chose to abandon the idea of travelling the cosmos, the consequence was that it gave birth to the first humans. Sephiroth's motive in AC was to use the "planet" as his vessel to travel through space and find a new one to rule over much like what the Cetra did. I firmly believe that the planet or rather the lifestream wants to keep the cycle of inhabiting other planets.
I would definetly agree, I have been trying to iron out exactly what makes Cetra the Cetra. a lot of things coming up on that end. but I do believe that the cycle that you are talking about is surely one that the lifestream wants to continue.
I didn't realize this was your first video until I checked your channel just now! I think it went over my head last time I was here. What an awesome first video to have! It's very detailed, well edited, and enjoyable! That is why I assumed you had more videos lol. I'm excited for your channel! Good work!
I appreciate you saying that! I have done some editing before, so I was familiar with the process, but I have never done anything like this, or this long. The video was a lot to make for a first video, and it seems like part 2 is going to be the same. So I guess I better get used to it. Lol I appreciate to have you here and for your support! Thank you!
This video is unbelievably good!! I loved Remake and am so excited to see where it goes and your video just amplified those feelings further! Thank you so much for your time and effort!
You are too kind, thats all I wanted to accomplish with this video really. so to hear that makes me just grateful that you watched! Thank you very much!
32:00 I'm glad you pointed out the importance of the exchange between Barret and the spectre. This shows the spectres have individual agency and or comprehension. They aren't just natural phenomenon, or at least, they are as much a natural phenomenon as a sentient human being is. If it is particularly Biggs, remains to be know. Barret does have a deceased wife after all. I also love that you've noticed who sees the sparkles and who doesn't. It is my working hypothesis that the sparkles aren't necessarily the defeat of fate but they are the "Unknown Journey" similar to that of Jacob in Jacob's Ladder. I won't spoil that movie here but if you're interested, do please give it a watch or at least read a detailed synopsis of how the events in that film are portrayed.
your right, the option could be bigger than just the contained story in midgar. I only made the connection to biggs because the speck was associated with the spectres. but who knows?!
I just came here to see how... People are much more... Focused and smarter... Than me.... You intend to play, focus, and make theories but me... I just played and cried, damn. You're not human dude, this is amazing.
a lot of time, circumstance, and accidental findings is what I mainly attribute these videos to. I think that over analyzing can kill the drive of a gamer, I dont regard myself as such. not anymore at least. I think you enjoying the game as a game is the way to enjoy it. this is obsessive research in my opinion. Lol Thank you for watching! and thank you for your support!
Sharing this with my friends that have beaten this game. This needs to be apart of the conversation for sure! I agree Maximilian_Dood needs to see this and chat with you. So much depth!
Thanks dood! I am glad you enjoyed the video enough to show others! lol and yes talking to max about FF7 would be a treat for sure. would just be happy to know he watched it.
Wow....I was mindblown so many times. Who would have thought Seph was planning all this post-Dirge? I thought Genesis was going to do something in Dirge 2; maybe confront and possibly save an old friend.
we arent sure exactly why Genesis woke up, other than he was only to awaken during a massive crisis. And from what we know of the end of Dirge, the crisis seems to have ended. but one most likely began as a result of Omegas destruction. I hope we get the answer to that in Remake. :) Thank you for watching!
Wow this is stunning. I'm awestruck at how well done this is and all of the connections made. I was loving Remake before but now my mind is totally blown to see the thread you've built across the evidence in the entire compilation. This is just masterful stuff. Thanks for sharing this, I'm off to watch the next one.
Wow I'm completely blown away. I haven't played Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core, but I definitely will. Also, I didn't know there was a short story as well - which I'm also going to look into. But this is very interesting with everything you mentioned which link to FF7 Original and Remake. I'm definitely carrying on with the rest of the parts to find out more of what you have to explain, thanks for this btw! It makes me want to play and read the other parts I haven't witnessed myself yet.
When sephiroth re summons meteor, at the end of the fight, it is covered in the green and purple lifestream stuff. Not sure if there's anything there just noticed it. Keep up the good work
I think there is some combination of power going on with this last sephiroth, anything in that scene is important to note detail wise, so thank you! and I appreciate your continued support!
I love this video and I think I can help with certain ideas. 1) the connection Sephiroth has isn’t necessary spiritual, in case of lifestream, Aerith points out that Sephiroth hasn’t linked himself to Cloud he has “made HIS memories of cloud his core of his being” he needs Cloud though to give physical form in AC. This is easier to explain rather a hollocrux style link, it does however make him harder to beat because he isn’t literally connected to Cloud. 2) for Biggs returning, think during Jessie’s mission, Wedge states a theory that her dad is trapped between his body and the lifestream. This could be what happened to Biggs, his body isn’t dead but his soul is in a limbo state.
Thank you so much for the feedback! 1) That particular part of me tripped me up while making this video, as from what I can recall without looking at the black chapter is the reason Sephiroth cannot form his own body is because he cannot form an image of his body in his mind to do so. Which is the purpose of the remnants having different appearances. You would think that cloud would remember that and that by him being his 'link' so to speak that this wouldn't be a problem for him. Instead he has to have the remnants seek out some part of Jenova. But I see your point. 2) this is very important, totally forgot about Jessie's dad. I need to look into that. but my first reaction to this information is that yes. This is absolutely correct. And there is a massive amount of information to back up what you just stated. as it is depicted in other games. I was already going to talk about that information, but the father I hadn't remembered. I appreciate the perspective on this. very helpful!
Sleepezi hey no problem, you are right with the remnants, I think of it in 2 parts, Sephiroth is using his own memories to keep his core without an image from being dissolved, that’s the part he doesn’t actually need Cloud for, Aerith in the White section clarifies this. Then the remnants come in to scoope up any information they can on Sephiroth and find jenova. This is where Cloud is physically necessary since he’s probably the one who knows him the most and can fully put him back together. It’s definitely tricky but if there was an actual link I think it was gone since Sephiroth is trying to kill Cloud at the end of AC
Sleepezi haha. Keep up the good work. Really enjoying the break downs. Best I’ve seen so far and I’ve been nothing short of a mad man watching every 2-3 hours podcast sessions of people trying to make sense of it all. I like how you tie everything together and show that the ending, as much of a dumpster truck it was, actually is congruent and consistent with some of the original themes of the OG. I hope these videos blow up and they recognition they deserve. Looking forward to your future projects ✌🏼
In Ultimania, Whisper Harbinger was actually confirmed to be the Whisper representation of Jenova, just like 3 Whispers are Loz, Yazoo and Kadaj. Kinda crazy! This was an amazing video!
Could you shoot me a link that confirms jenova? I haven't seen anything on it! I was aware of the representation of the 3 whispers being Kadaj and the boys. Either way thank you for watching and sharing!!
@@Sleepezi aitaikimochi (Audrey) on Twitter is translating Ultimania bit by bit and posting it, just scroll and you'll find that and all the other amazing Ultimania information on her Twitter. Honestly, this and part 2 are the best FFVIIR plot speculations I ever seen. Absolutely amazing videos! You literally blew my mind!
Many bricks are being shat while watching this video. Thank you for all the time you are putting into this. The flash-forwards/destiny theme made no sense to me untill I watched your video. Watching this, made all those scenes go from "huh weird/why did they put this in?" to "omg this is a completly new game, but it still allows us to go through basically the same story as the original". Bravo SE, bravo. This is gold. It opens up so much possibilities, yet I had not the slightest clue playing through this game.
You being excited has gotten me excited! I am glad you took the time to share the enthusiasm! really appreciate you checking the video out as well! Thank you very much!
It's been about two days since I finished remake and had time to chew on the ending and watch all sorts of videos/podcasts explaining/theorizing on it. I never played original ff7 but I had seen machinabridged and had a decent enough idea of how things should play out but after that ending... I was conflicted, while I enjoyed the hell out of every bit of the game I felt the ending was a bit sudden and almost had stakes that were just flat out undeserved. It felt like a huge tone shift that was way too out of place but this is the single video I've seen that has made it make total sense. I thought the whispers were complete and utter walking-er floating deus ex machinas that were just there because plot needed to happen even though at the end I felt so lost and like the plot had just up and left the Shinra building. That feeling really culminated at the end with the barret scene but OVERALL, this video has pretty much explained away my issues with them and as much as I might not like how in your face they are with the plot manipulation, you really sold them to me here and I can honestly say I don't hate them anymore and can actually kind of understand and enjoy the crazy a$$ ending for what it was. Well done man truly, and thank you. I can't wait to see part 2 and what comes after in your future endeavors. 👏🏻👏🏻
I was inspired by the same feeling that your talking about. I was similarly conflicted with the ending. Its that feeling that brought me to making these videos! I am super glad to hear that the plot ghosts are less of an annoyance now, they were for me as well. but I am glad to bring some peace of mind to the both of us! I really really appreciate your supportive comments, and I appreciate you watching!
Holy crap this is AMAZING. You do a fantastic job of taking a complicated mess and communicating it in an understandable fashion. Kudos to the connection and delivery! Looking forward to the other videos
I've been rewatching your theory videos after watching your latest about Integrade and honestly I love the detail you go into and the perspective you bring to the fan discussion. Keep at it! I just had a little thought about your conversation on both Sephiroth's plan to use the lifestream to ride the cosmos and rejoin the larger lifestream to infect and control it, and your comment about the platform they are standing on is meteor floating in space before it is summoned by the black materia. I did wonder whether this alpha-lifestream is located at the Edge of Creation and the large colourful nebula is actually where he wants to get to - or am I clutching at straws?
Omega was not permanently destroyed though. Vincent clearly stated that both Chaos and Omega returned to the Planet, meaning the Planet still has a means to return to the greater Lifestream.
I would like the remake episode 5 ending with a crazy "Adventure Time" wrap up finale including everything: Jenova, the weapons, Sephiroth, Minerva, Chaos, Lucrecria, Rufus omg this game is so good
god if they did that all at once my head would explode. But it would definitely be an ending to remember! This game is very good! Thanks for commenting!
Now I'm only just starting this video series, but.. I wanna say right now how Sephiroth is traveling is already explained in one of the novels, years before the remake was first announced. Specifically, he's going back through by tearing a path to Cloud's lifeforce in the lifestream, some nearly 500 years after Advent Children. It doesn't outright say the reasons but I suspect it's because Sephiroth is aware that with everything having happened as it did, humanity is wiped out, the planet is doomed to die, and it will not become his vessel if everything remains the same; it also cannot reset due to Ziconda (sp?) being slained, and as such the planet's lifeforce cannot start anew on a new planetary by transmitting through space akin to the original Final Fantasy movie with the phantom/alien gaia (though it's depicted more as shooting lifestream through space like a laser). So, Sephiroth goes back through Cloud; while original Sephiroth's still doing his own stuff (OG Sephiroth has no reason not to kill Cloud, OG Sephiroth doesn't even know who Cloud is, OG Sephiroth cannot "speak" through the clones beyond a weak 're...UUUUN...nion..." voice, and isn't able to hold lasting control over a clone until the Shinra building; during which BOTH Sephiroths are making moves with Future Sephiroth there first in "This Guy Are Sick" (Sector 5 clone), propagated by contact with Cloud. Marco, the Sector 7 clone, is controlled by the OG Sephiroth. Both clones cannot speak (This Guy Our Sick telling Cloud the reunion is nothing to fear is future sephiroth as a hallucination; hinting he's taken control of this one). In fact, whenever OG Sephiroth appears, there is no familiarity with Cloud what-so-ever. This is because Cloud was just a nameless infantryman. Future Sephiroth is able to more fully be realized in the physical world by combining Marco, This Guy Are Sick, and Jenova's head (take note Marco dissolves and a new corpse covered in black and violet arteries appears in a different position when Dreamweaver is defeated), giving Sephiroth enough to build on to 'resurrect' in much the same way Sephiroth used Kadaj and Jenova's head to become Sephiroth. On Aerith: The same story describes her relationship with the purple void (tainted lifestream), why she won't let herself go into the lifestream even long after Cloud has grown old and died, and when Sephiroth makes his move she tries to pursue but a newly activated planetary defense cuts her off. She tears her own way to try and reach herself, but is being thwarted by the terrifying screams of thousands of voices telling her to stop, that their combined force felt like a tsunami (hurricane), and as they moved to plug the hole she repeatedly creates she begins attaching little bits of herself onto the manifestations of this force (the whispers/arbiters of fate). It concludes the scene with a familiar florist kneeling before a pipe, who then looks to the right as Aerith (dead/lifestream spirit Aerith) calls out to the florist (past Aerith), causing the florist to look to the right...and run away. In the original, she looks to the left and calmly walks down the alley, in the remake she looks to the right, gets up and flees. As the game progresses, with each contact Aerith has with the whispers she seems to know a bit more. At first they're just scary. Then "What was that about?" Then "They saved me." After that first touch, there's a hint sometime down the line that she has a feeling something isn't right. "They're guiding us?" It isn't until she begins fighting them.. that she begins predicting what people will say before they say it, what's supposed to happen and what doesn't, and this progresses wih each successive encounter she has with them, "each time I touch them I feel like I'm losing a part of myself", and then culminating in "I'm...not sure why I did that." This is because each time, a part of future Aerith is forcing her messages, her 'pieces' through by hitchhiking on the whispers. And then the whispers are gone, leaving it up to our heroes to find their own path. Now to check this video out.
Another hit this theory takes, is Aerith cannot actually see the spectres in the past (present) until the moment she touches Cloud. Her expression and surprise to be able to see their physical form tells us that before this she could not see them only feel them until that moment. Also, I'm pretty sure Angeal was the perfect G-type specimen, while Genesis was imperfect. Angeal was still changed of the same process as Genesis with the same cells.
I've been reading on the way to a smile and in Lifestream: black II it says "When the lifestream erupted from the earth, he let the planet have all those memories that no longer held any meaning. Memories of his boyhood, of his few-and-far-between friends, of battles he fought before knowing his true self, of his life in those bygone days--he let them join the rushing torrent and dash themselves against Meteor." In the japanese version I've heard that the new version of Sephiroth, at the end of the game. uses oro instead of watashi, I'm sure I misspelled that. Oro being the pronoun he used before he met Jenova in Nibelhiem. What if this new version of Sepiroth was actually an agent of the whispers. Because the planet has those parts of Sephiroth. That would account for the different tone as well because the whispers aren't trying to hurt them just guide them towards its goals.
Now, I'm on board with almost all of this, but just one thing: Harbinger Sephiroth not coming back. Let me spin a proposition: I think that, maybe through cloud's memories, he's going to keep trying to avert some events or change them to give present Sephiroth a better chance. With even before the portal, as the party sees H-Sephiroth as a whole by the time Cloud tries to dunk on him on the walkway from Genova's holding container. As long as Cloud keeps what has transpired in mind, I think it may turn out to be H-Sephiroth might linger enough to not only fuck with the plot, but may just end up giving Present Sephiroth the power to try and defy a possibly more prepared cloud and co. Through what means? Iunno. But, these are just theories after all. I could be missing something though. Amazing video though. Onto part 2.
I know this is a few years later but my immediate reaction on seeing Cloud and Sephiroth standing on something in space was that this had to be a representative of Meteor and it was clearly significant for at least symbolic purposes. It doesn't seem to be a moon, not quite the right shade and there seem to be no planets nearby. I also note that they're careful to never pull back the camera too far and give you a clear image of it. I would almost expect one of the last things in Rebirth to ALSO be another scene set here.
This is like Max’s optimism on steroids, if that made sense. When Max explains some of the subtle signs in the game, you really have to play they game twice and pay attention in order to notice. In this video you took that up a notch and really paid attention to everything, in all the games of the series. Especially the similarities in supposed cave that Minerva was in. Hopeful, but I don’t know if I can put that much trust in SE (since I’m scarred from 15), at least not yet. It’s just hard for me right now to believe that these consistencies are planned out instead of pure coincidence.
Its his optimism that fueled the making of this first video. I just wanted to contribute to that! And then just try and make sense of all of it! I understand the lack of faith in a game company. lol (P.T.: Silent Hills, most anticipated game of all time for me.) We will see what happens in the future, I will be doing my best to cover that as its coming out as well!
Wow. Really! That was amazing! I dont even watch theories, just read about them, but I'm so glad i watched this. I started yesterday, because i couldn sleep.. Then finished it in one go, all three video's. So i went to sleep at 5 oclock or something haha. But it was worth it. Very, Very cool and impressive. Watch it, youll be glued to your screen.
There are so many of you that I have been reading about. people watching the entire thing in one go. and I just can't even wrap my head around it. Its so great to see that you enjoyed them like this, and I really appreciate the kind words and the support. Thank you very much for watching!
As insignificant as loveless seems to the story. it is in the opening scenes of the game and is everywhere. Even when i rewatched Advent Children the other day i noticed a billboard for loveless in Edge. I thought wow they must just really love that play. Your videos are amazing can't wait for part 5.
I appreciate the compliment! and thanks for watching the vid! in any theory you get to some lose ends, and if there isn't enough to support it, its hard to talk about so certainly and I don't wanna just blow it out of proportion. That being said! there are some things you just get wrong sometimes, and they have been pointed out to me so hopefully I will be able to address some of those things briefly in Part 2! again thanks for commenting/ watching!
Thanks for mentioning Minerva. I always interested in her as a concept back in crisis core and wanted her to expanded upon if possible in remake. Hopefully your theory will hold some weight and we’ll see more of her in the future games.
@@Sleepezi People who haven't played CC don't even know who she is so will be lost if it ever manifests int he remake so hope they have some gameplay from CC in sequel alongside.
@@Sleepezi What you are doing for this community is really great and exactly what a lot of fans needed! I've been redirecting so many people who had questions about the ending on your channel :) I hope you do something soon with BltZz, who has a great community, Maximilian Dood and his big brain theories or same with Final Fantasy Peasant, it would make for an awesome Reunion :p
Curious, have you read "The Kids Are Alright" yet? It's available in English on Amazon as of 2019 and it's where Kyrie and Leslie come from. Also goes more in to Rufus and Kadaj and co.
I have read most of it. not all of it. but I am aware of what happens in it. its a very interesting story that takes place there. maybe one day I will get to discussing it more in depth. Thanks for mentioning it! and thanks for watching!
One question does Aerith Friended Jessie Biggs and Wedge in the lifestream? I mean they did not met on the original Sht I just noticed that Sephiroth is the man behind the slaughter because of the color *PURPLE* Its connected to FNAF Thats just a Theory A GAME THEORY
Just finished watching part 3, amazing work as always. You’ve done a phenomenal job. Among the many questions I have after watching your videos, there is one that’s been bugging me quite a while and it actually applies to this part. It may seem elementary at first but bear with me. In the official Ultimania, there is a table of the various Sephiroths that appear throughout the game - illusion, recollection, black cloak and finally one simply denoted as “?” of which his first appearance is at the end of the highway “to lure the party beyond the barrier of destiny” and is the same one that continues until the end. So now, if highway / portal-opening Sephiroth and Harbinger Sephiroth are one and the same...do you see where I’m going with this? The only way that Sephiroth, in his true form, could appear to the party before they have even defeated the Harbinger Weapon and released him, is to appear at that moment in time once he has become the Harbinger himself. As the Harbinger is a singularity, then this is within his means to do so. However - Sephiroth needs the party to free him before he is even able to open the portal and lure them into freeing him...thus, we have a paradox. On the other hand, if they are not the same then just who is the Sephiroth on the highway, and how is he visible to everyone? Since he is explicitly not a clone. Perhaps I’m just having trouble wrapping my head around it but either way, would love to get your thoughts / clarification on this!
I think that was sephiroth puppeteering jenovas body. After all, he did jump of the tower with her body and he WAS able to control jenovas body and make her take his form.
Wow, excellent video man! I've been a huge fan of FF7 since the original release and absolutely love the remake (including the ending). Since finishing the remake I've watched countless theory videos, including Maximilian Doods excellent spoiler video with Easy Allies, and this video is definitely one of the best I've seen... I love just how deep this all potentially goes. One question I have is regarding Aerith. I'm not sure if this is something you address in Part 2 but with the whole 'changing fate' theme of the remakes ending, a lot of people seem the be questioning if Aerith's fate in the original could now be altered? Do you see that possibility or do you think her fate in the original is too important to the overall end goal? Either way, keep up the excellent work 👍🏻
Thank you so much for saying that. it really means a lot! I should have noted the Easy Allies Podcast as I enjoyed listening to that as well, and because of the way things were framed in that conversation it definitely was partial inspiration to make this video to begin with. I think that in order to properly frame the answer to that question I need to dig a bit deeper into what I have already found for Arieth. but I think she realizes the larger implication of what she has done. I think that my answer for now is: her death is more of a serious concern for fans, and because of the balancing act they are attempting, unless they have set it up really well, she will most likely die. But I agree with Max in that her death will be much more tragic if anything.
Holy shit and i thought i had a correct theory on stuff, you completely blew my mind. I was pretty sure that the ghosts were just the will/cries of the planet that bugenhagen tells us about in the OG, but now they are more of a threat rather than just a concept. Great video and great theory, it got me pumped up.
Lol, I really appreciate that. Thinking about these kinds of things gets me pumped to! Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment. You mentioned Bugenhagen, and I missed that one. but Ilfana (arieths mother) mentions this too. I am actually going to be mentioning the countless times that the game refers to what we now know as as the ghosts. but how it seems the concept starts to take shape in the compilation before it even gets to remake. there are a lot of remake that seems to be giving us an elaboration on a lot of the concepts built from the Compilation and other FF7 related media (mainly the books that share connections to before and after Advent). Going to be really interested to see how they build out from Remake. Thanks again!
@@Sleepezi No, thanks to you. We needed more videos like this to make people understand the ending and that it isnt so far fetched from the universe of FF7.
Thank you! I just watched the first 5 minutes, but they are the solution to what I didn´t understand. I was the opinion, that it´s Sephiroth "Remaking" the Timeline, but didn´t get why he should, because he reached his goal (in some kind of way). I couldn´t figure out why he should do it all again. But hear you saying, that it´s in first Place the lifestream Remaking and Sephiroth abusing this ability ... then it makes perfectly sense to me. Thanks so much! (and now I will take a look of the next 2 Hours of your video :D )
yea, the question "Why is sephiroth doing this?" was hard for me to figure out at first. I appreciate you taking the time to watch it all! I know its a lot! thank you for your support!
I am in the middle of editing the ending of the video now! Sorry about the wait, didn't expect this to take so long! but there is a lot to talk about! You can 100% expect it tonight/early tomorrow morning! Thank you for your support!
Dude, i'm loving this. The explanation of what Sephiroth does by absorbing the meteor makes perfect sense, i thought to an explanation for weeks. I wonder how they will explain all this stuff in the future games, considering that probably they even have to explain to the player what happened in the original game, which is a lot of stuff.
yea I think that most of us are waiting patiently to see just how much lore is in Remake as of this point. and especially how they will incorporate it. The meteor stuff is exciting though for sure! Thank you for watching!
Great job putting all this together. With how much work you're putting into this I can't wait for you to finish connecting the past together so we can start on what you think points forward. I had always thought of loveless as the boiling down of the core themes of the series I just never realised how literal that could be. An missing 5th chapter huh? Almost like it got lost in time or something. 😏
oof that's the trick aint it. time is definitely the key to understanding the game and how the world functions. Already found out things that I would have never even thought about if it wasn't for that in mind. I think loveless acts in both of those functions, both literal representation and a thematic relevance. It definitely comes through that way in genesis and friends in Crisis Core. Thank you so much for watching!
This theory is fascinating. Purple is surely choosen because its the antagonist to Green (materia, mako, big meteor, cloud's eyes, aerith's eyes, etc..). But imho Green theme is accepting destiny (mayor plot point in the OG FFVII, both in the form of Aerith accepting death and Cloud accepting his own persona) and Purple is about changing destiny (Sephiroth, spectres...)
You are going to be FF7 Universe living legacy my friend. That's the best analysis out there for sure. It looks like Nomura, Nojima and Kitase gone wild with this one. Hope they will see/hear about this video! Subbed and sent to friends that share the same interest in the FF7 Universe. Can't wait for the next video! By the way, what kind of inspiration you got from Bloodborne for this one?
Thank you, really. its a pleasure knowing that you enjoyed the video that much to share it. Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time, just for how much I love the story. If anything it gave me the mental strength to try and figure FF7R story out. as for the trifecta: it would be crazy if they ever saw it. but mostly just glad to contribute to the conversation. But yea, they went ham dude. we will have to see what happens in the future. Again though, thank you very much.
The back and forth of the three friends of Loveless is very reminiscent of the back and forth flow of Light and Dark as explained in FF3 and Stranger of Paradise.
Thank you Michael! and we still have so much to cover in the compilation that it makes my head spin! Thank you for watching and thank you for subbing. its super appreciated!
its an oh fuck to me moment every time you guys post how excited you get! It really is awesome to feel that energy from you guys! Hopefully more moments like that and more in future parts! Thanks for watching!
And I thought I was overthinking FFVII Remake theory concepts, wow dude you went above and beyond! I'm loving it. Looking forward to your Part 2 video content. Just subbed. I am not as elaborate as you are with all these connections to the FFVII story compilation to try and explain the story elements in Remake this precisely, but I have a feeling that we could be in for a wild mind f*ck with this story. For instance, I wouldn't put it past SE to kill off Cloud and assign us a new main character (Aerith?) going forward into Part 3 of the Remake.. Another interesting side note I came across from reading a book I found that sums up all FFVII compilation story into a conveniently arranged chronologically concatenated summary from Before Crisis through Dirge: did you know that in the original development of FFVII OG it was initially planned in the story to reveal that Aerith and Sephiroth were brother and sister.. in fact during the beginning development stages their character designs had similar hairstyles. Wouldn't that be a crazy plot twist if something like this were to show up in the Remake. What are your thoughts on this. Is this even possible given the overall compilation and current timeline as it stands right now (Aerith and Sephiroth being related)? Thank you for your insight on this.
their relationship stems from a similar connection to a blood relation. their links to their bloodlines is what creates a sort of spiritual similarity, equal to that of brother and sister. though their function is the same for their bloodlines in a lot of ways, they couldn't be farther apart in how they use the power they have. I think that association was made early on and expanded upon from the spiritual end of it instead. definetly a mind fuck of a story, I would love to see something drastic, as long as its a good decision. thats a hard line to walk with a beloved series like this. lol Thank you for the comment, and for subbing, and for watching the vid! super appreciated!
Sleepezi thank you for taking all the time to research and make this vid and future vids, it’s greatly appreciated and all your elaborate insight adds even more tasty story layers to the FFVIIR storyline theories rabbit hole. After listening to Maximilian’s level 4 theory analysis I was like “wow that’s some deep stuff”, then I find your vid and I’m like “holy sh*t now this is deep stuff, like level 10!” I feel like you’re Morpheus and you’ve guided me out of the FFVII matrix and into the real world of FFVII...” I’d love to hear what the FFVIIR writers and Director Nomura have to say in response to your feedback shared in this video !
Almost there! We will see where all of this takes us! I recommend checking out the end of part 2 credits if you find yourself there. Were gonna be doing some more content for sure too. Planning on it for sure! Thank you for your overwhelmingly positive support dude!
The idea of this batshit story being somewhat consistent throughout 2 decades is my favorite part of 2020. Wonderful video
I 100% agree. Remake is by far the best thing about 2020. A huge surprise to find so much packed into one game.
Appreciate you watching!
The fifth and final act of loveless is missing. Aerith says "the future is always a blank page".
This is a nice catch. lol I would have put it in this video if I had noticed that sooner!
Thanks for watching! appreciate you taking the time to comment as well!
that hit me as hard as holy to the chest thank you
Genesis made his own ending if you watched or played Crisis Core and its as beautiful as sad

Well done! You're doing great.
You deserve way more views and subs. The amount of research and effort put into your videos is amazing. I hardly ever have the attention span to watch a video longer than 10 minutes but I sit through your videos and want more at the end lol.
I hope you have as much fun preparing these videos as I (we) have watching them.

Max is overrated in my opinion, he didn't really introduce me into anything mind blowing, unlike you. Keep up the amazing work.
@@knivesX1 But his reach is quite something else. Max would help this reach the audience it deserves
@@Sleepezi She's the only one who wears plated gloves. Biggs has leather gloves.
You gotta be kidding me.

It's true how much weight Crisis Core really carries. I have always maintained the notion that Loveless is the narrative for FF7 after playing Crisis Core.

Either way thank you for taking the time to watch!
JoJo in Crisis Core dismisses Loveless.
So, yeah, it definitely explains everything.

You’re just slow as hell bro.
Holy shit, this video came out of NOWHERE. Already subscribed. Awesome job, man. Already anxious to watch part 2
We are going to get to part 2 ASAP! Thank you so much for subbing and I really appreciate you watching!
Still waiting...
What the specters and Harbinger are, the purple color, what Sephiroth was trying to do in the Remake ... your theory could be canon for all we know, because like I said, it makes so much sense O-O I love how you included all the games of the FF7 compilation and talked about the Lifestream, Minerva and loveless
FF7 Remake is a sequel, and oh my god we freed a godlike Sephiroth ? And Cloud is like an horcrux of Sephiroth now ? Oh Gaïa the continuation of the remake will br epic
Epic is very much the word that comes to mind. lol
I am very glad that the video clears things up (at least for now)
The compilation is super important. it becomes more important every day I research. There is just too much info to cover and just goes to show how well constructed things are in the compilation leading to Remake. I really hope you enjoy further parts of the series, and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Thank you very much!
@@Sleepezi there will be further parts ? I already watched part 2, but if you're still making some analysis maybe I should watch for further discoveries from you about FF7 Remake then ^-^
If Sephiroth is able to come back from Cloud remembering him, then maybe in FF7R Cloud will be the one making the ultimate sacrifice 🤯
there is definetly some funny business that is going on with that whole sequence. it would be interesting to see what happens!
OMG NOOOOO
@@Sleepezi wouldn't sephiroth cease to exist without cloud?
@@melvingenao550 well, not anymore. He exists now with or without Cloud.
@@chaosstorm8307 yep
You just blew my mind for like 50 minutes straight. I’m on board with all of this.
"The planet Gaia (In the grand scheme of things) now serves as a prison for Sephiroth and Jenova" 🤯
That was probably my favorite bit from this part for sure! lol glad you enjoyed the video!

@@Sleepezi LOL funny because at the start of the second video I was like ok I'm gonna have to load a huge bowl for this. Great job btw Sleepezi (subbed)
I'm looking forward to part 2, my friend! Your theories and conclusions are strongly supported, congratulations!
Idk. lol)
I agree, the negative lifestream has not really been brought up in any real way, but it has other characterization in other forms in the compilation.
Awesome!!!
What I understood of Loveless: one gets captured (by Jenova), one flies away (dies), the one that's left becomes a hero (a weapon).
Thanks for commenting / Watching
Yes
Were going to get into that weapon detail you pointed out in part 2, but as for the other things you mentioned...
You are Right! he is infused with S cells,
but the only thing that deems him to be a 'perfect specimen' is the fact that genesis hasn't tried using his cells to cure his degeneration. he doesn't get that far, so its not 100% confirmed as perfect from my understanding.
because of his jenova cell link, aka his S cell link he is tied to sephiroth, same as Zack
Thank you for watching the video! appreciate the comment.
Calamity’s Dark Harbinger Sephiroth! Vincent called it back in AC
It would be an interesting representation of them showing themselves,
I cant go into too much detail, because I am still researching this. BUT
Because you are suggesting something similar to what I have discovered: there are references to Dirge in the end of remake that I think I have found.
Dirge plays a bigger role than people think. A lot was set up and thought out.
I believe to some of the more interesting plot elements I am hoping for in Remake.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
This is so impressive. I watched it yesterday but giving it another watch rn. Excited for part 2 of your series!
you are braver than I to watch it again. its super awesome to know someone enjoyed it that much. Thank you!
But why did Aerith want any of this to happen?
part 2 will be diving into that. most of the discussion of arieth was removed from part 1 due to time.
Just some random fact, minerva's winged wheels are very similar to the real ancient portrayals of angelic beings
As a FF content creator I found this video very informative. I have subscribed and shared this on my twitter, you did a great job.
Interplanetary was a mistranslation. They were nomadic yes. But on on that world. Check the ultimania

Kingdom Hearts was training us for this day all along...
yes! we will be primed and ready for this one! :D
Nah this is fairly understandable
I didn't realize this was your first video until I checked your channel just now! I think it went over my head last time I was here. What an awesome first video to have! It's very detailed, well edited, and enjoyable! That is why I assumed you had more videos lol. I'm excited for your channel! Good work!
I appreciate you saying that! I have done some editing before, so I was familiar with the process, but I have never done anything like this, or this long.
The video was a lot to make for a first video, and it seems like part 2 is going to be the same. So I guess I better get used to it. Lol
I appreciate to have you here and for your support!
@@Sleepezi Aye, we'll see!
Lol
Thank you for watching! and thank you for your support!
Remake's story is the prog rock of JRPG stories and I love it
Sharing this with my friends that have beaten this game.
Thank you for watching!
I will say its a ride! but I hope that you enjoy it!
thank you for your support! and thanks for watching!
Excellent analysis - subbed!

Many bricks are being shat while watching this video. Thank you for all the time you are putting into this. The flash-forwards/destiny theme made no sense to me untill I watched your video. Watching this, made all those scenes go from "huh weird/why did they put this in?" to "omg this is a completly new game, but it still allows us to go through basically the same story as the original". really appreciate you checking the video out as well!
Loosely return to the planet is also a way of saying its dead..
Loosely. But I think your probably right. Will try and do my best to address this.
They need an arcade game with the original
I believe the circular motif seen with Minerva and Sephiroth is a purposeful depiction of a halo.
Yes! this is something that I plan to get into more with part 3!
I've been reading on the way to a smile and in Lifestream: black II it says
"When the lifestream erupted from the earth, he let the planet have all those memories that no longer held any meaning. Memories of his boyhood, of his few-and-far-between friends, of battles he fought before knowing his true self, of his life in those bygone days--he let them join the rushing torrent and dash themselves against Meteor."
In the japanese version I've heard that the new version of Sephiroth, at the end of the game. uses oro instead of watashi, I'm sure I misspelled that.
Like what if it was Minerva in disguise
Now, I'm on board with almost all of this, but just one thing: Harbinger Sephiroth not coming back. Let me spin a proposition:
I think that, maybe through cloud's memories, he's going to keep trying to avert some events or change them to give present Sephiroth a better chance.
You were right!!!
I understand the lack of faith in a game company. lol (P.T.: Silent Hills, most anticipated game of all time for me.)
We will see what happens in the future, I will be doing my best to cover that as its coming out as well!
Despite the dislike ppl have for DoC I still enjoyed it for what it was and the potential it had to add to the story.
Wow.
Not the entire lifestream is absorbed by sephiroth(rufus sees other whispers at Shinra hq)
I got a bit over excited there. lol yea most likely not the lifestream either. we will have to see.
This was well done. You had great evidence to validate your analysis too. Subscribed sir.👍
thank you very much! doing my deep dive part 2! thank you for sticking around!!
As insignificant as loveless seems to the story. it is in the opening scenes of the game and is everywhere. Even when i rewatched Advent Children the other day i noticed a billboard for loveless in Edge. I thought wow they must just really love that play. Your videos are amazing can't wait for part 5.
This one was good for sure. I especially like how for some things you had an inkling about but couldn't confirm, you presented them as such
I appreciate the compliment! and thanks for watching the vid!
in any theory you get to some lose ends, and if there isn't enough to support it, its hard to talk about so certainly and I don't wanna just blow it out of proportion.
That being said! there are some things you just get wrong sometimes, and they have been pointed out to me so hopefully I will be able to address some of those things briefly in Part 2!
again thanks for commenting/ watching!
That feel when you completely missed the color purple in Remake because you have F.lux installed and set to maximum red
Lol that is an odd way to miss it! but now you know! :D
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for mentioning Minerva. I always interested in her as a concept back in crisis core and wanted her to expanded upon if possible in remake. Hopefully your theory will hold some weight and we’ll see more of her in the future games.
Fingers crossed for her mysterious reveal! lol
Thank you for watching, we will see what happens!
@@Sleepezi People who haven't played CC don't even know who she is so will be lost if it ever manifests int he remake so hope they have some gameplay from CC in sequel alongside.
There's a Minerva band or something in the original. The female turk has it
Thank you for making those 3 videos, it was so interesting to listen
Thank you for watching them! I appreciate your comments on all of them! :)
I mean they did not met on the original
Sht I just noticed that Sephiroth is the man behind the slaughter because of the color *PURPLE*
Its connected to FNAF
Thats just a Theory
A GAME THEORY
Came here from your podcast with seal and bltzz. Great job. Really enjoying your content.
I think that my answer for now is:
her death is more of a serious concern for fans, and because of the balancing act they are attempting, unless they have set it up really well, she will most likely die.
But I agree with Max in that her death will be much more tragic if anything.
Wait wasn’t Genesis still alive due of dirge of Cerberus secret ending having Weiss with him
he is alive. and he is very relevant to the events of Dirge. even though he only shows up in person at the end.
What if he shows up in part 2 or Remake, like an anti-hero.
Part 2 :(... we need it
I am in the middle of editing the ending of the video now!
Amazingly well put together video! Great eye for detail. I really hope this story is truly as well thought out and connected as you present it to be
This theory is fascinating.
I am super interested in going through the games and exploring both of these colors!
Super appreciate your enthusiasm and your comment!
Well at least you're actually one of the smart ones who know Kitase and Nojima also worked on this. Not just Nomura
We need to give the writers and developers more credit. Mind blown.
I hope its something that lands as the story unravels a bit more! but we will have to see!
Eagerly awaiting part 3! Fantastic videos
Thank you for waiting! and thank you very much for checking the videos out. I super appreciate it!
The back and forth of the three friends of Loveless is very reminiscent of the back and forth flow of Light and Dark as explained in FF3 and Stranger of Paradise.
Listen. I'm only 13 minutes in and you've already blown my mind 10 times over. How are there 5 videos total? Fuck, man. And I thought I knew my FF7.
Its a lot all at once each of these, there is just a lot to cover and a lot that I was interested in lol.
Very glad that you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Subbed! Finally an explanation from the perspective of the entire FF7 anthology. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you Michael! and we still have so much to cover in the compilation that it makes my head spin! Thank you for watching and thank you for subbing. its super appreciated!
meaning on the 32:20 , those shinra troops will also revived by those sparkles? and they let Zack and Cloud escaped? LOL
lol they are just trying to catch up. Five seconds later their both caught and killed. Guess this timeline thing isn't that complicated at all!
@@Sleepezi haha. thanks for these videos man. you're the best! hope that Minerva and Genesis actually show up sometime in the remake.
Me every few minutes of the video: "Oh FUCK."
its an oh fuck to me moment every time you guys post how excited you get!
I think that association was made early on and expanded upon from the spiritual end of it instead.
definetly a mind fuck of a story, I would love to see something drastic, as long as its a good decision. thats a hard line to walk with a beloved series like this. lol
Thank you for the comment, and for subbing, and for watching the vid! super appreciated!
Under 20 subscribers till 500. Share with your friends people! I am curious to what other content you may work on after part 2 of this video.
Almost there! We will see where all of this takes us! I recommend checking out the end of part 2 credits if you find yourself there.
Were gonna be doing some more content for sure too. Planning on it for sure!
Thank you for your overwhelmingly positive support dude!
@@Sleepezi Wow. Hey man that means alot! Loved the second video.
