Update will be coming soon man, she's over half painted. Roof/body and jambs are done, driver doors. So two doors, hatch, and bumpers, then re-assembly. We are about two weekends of work away!

Glad to hear that! It’s been really fun to make. There will be another update soon (car is almost completely painted).

Holy shit. 1.5 donor cars 😂 Man, I had no idea even the E38s/E39s still rusted like this. The more of your vids I watch, the more I want my own wagon. (Until I remember that I'm NOT looking forward to fixing window regulators, pixels, ABS modules, Vanos and VCGs all over again)

I mean they generally don’t rust THIS bad. This is a disturbingly bad example. And little secret, I’m on the hunt for another so by the next video it’ll be 2.5 😂😂 (I want a black interior and extra bits/bobs etc).

Have any footage of the rockers? I'm going to be doing this along with replacing the sill jack points.

I’ll have to look back at what I have, it’s a big job but if you know what you’re doing you can get it through relatively quickly. Kept the cuts inside the door jamb to minimize any weirdness you may see on the exterior. Rockers I bought were a surprisingly good fit too. We still need to finalize jack points so I don’t have any input for you there haha.

Wow, would be interesting to hear the total amount of hours spent on this. Pretty kick ass though!

I’ve kept track of the money, the hours less so. Probably 150-250 hours between myself and my friend helping me. And thanks!

My e34 touring has zero rust compared to your e39 and I live in Iceland. Your e39 must have been abused badly i guess

I swear someone was launching boats with it or something, it was staggeringly bad lol.
