Hey Damian, I hope you’re still out there. Great video thanks 👍🏻I’ve just bought a new T-Rex 450 Dominator and installing the battery is a nightmare. The plate that clicks into place has 4 cut outs for Velcro (supplied). It also has a stupid lump sticking out the bottom which wants to dent my battery! And there is no guide on how far in to insert the battery - could mess up the cg…any ideas or even a video? 😀🚁
I have the same, type 6s. I think the canopy is tight, especially when the battery is connected. And that's the only problem. It is nearly perfect but not perfect. I also use microbeast instead of 3gx. Somehow I think the 3gx has more powerful 3D performance but it is really difficult to adjust the tail and the MB is more stable. I use spektrum, too. It's a good transmitter.
I'm running mine with Turnigy Nano Tech 1300mah 6S 35C packs, they fit perfectly ;) That being said I know many other 1300mah packs do not fit, dimensions need to be 30mm or less in width, even that is a squeeze.
i never got those black washers. i did get 4 rubber supports that i couldnt figure out where to put because none of the screws would reach with them installed. how do you get the tail servo ball link on and off? theres like no room between the ball and the bottom of the boom mount.
Don't worry more videos will be posted up soon! Yes I'm pretty sure 1300mAh batteries would do just fine, but I would double check the measurements depending on your battery.
hey, about the gyro tape.. if it's the grey tape with the red backing, the 3M stuff, then beastx usually only likes one layer best... The way those beastx wires are tied up together isn't good so it says in the manual- they should be kept seperate and loose for a couple of inches. One big mass of wires tied together will have a different natural vibrating frequency than a bunch of smaller ones. Just an idea. Cool vid!
It all depends on what kind of flying you do. If your not a 3D flyer, then you should get about 4-5 minutes. If you are a 3D flyer, then around 3-4 minutes.
battery choice matters too, can turn down head speed and get way longer, too many variables to predict time, better use a timer to see how long then adjust accordingly
I'm a DECADE late to the party, but I just purchased a used 450L on ebay, thanks for the video!
Nice heli, i like it

Hai damian Nice flight men, i like it
Its in one of the hardware bags. They are black small washers that fit perfectly with the servo screws.

In the Aligns specifications it says 730g without electronics, so I'm guessing its a bit more than that not including the battery.

Hi guys nice video.. what Spektrum receiver are you using ? does the Align Gpro hook up to any Spektrum receiver like the AR9020 ?

Thanks !
That's a DFC
anyone know what the major differences between the Align Trex 450 SE , 450 L Dominator, 450 X and 450 PRO models are...thanks
Im my humble opinion the one in this video is the best 450L lot of power.... but you need to upgrade to better cervos and a good transmitter
Only one spektrum sat for a 450 heli? Isn't it too litle?
I think the idea is 450 can use one but 500 and bigger should use two
killer clip
any good for fc3 and aerobatics?? no 3d
Thanks very much guy's.
Yes, all the gears except the autorotation gear is not.
