It's not true empathy. I'm excruciatingly empathetic. It's not something I can control or use in a negative way.
A "dark empath" understands empathy at a working level, but they do not actually feel empathy. They are among the worst types because they can mimic empathy and read people extremely well. It is the dark triad rolled into one.
Becoming a sour resentful empath is not even close to being a dark empath, which I don't believe is anything more than narcissism and sociopathy coexisting within a person

If someone in your world has a problem with “no”there’s a huge chance that you are being manipulated. Walk away from people like that. If my boundaries bother you, your intentions are not honorable.

I feel like I only seek to be around other strong people. I have dark empath traits and am a high mach. I don’t target people though, and I only use my manipulative energy around actual toxic folks. I genuinely don’t want to be a jerk when I don’t have to be, and I don’t turn things around on people in the face of constructive criticism. I welcome it and I don’t focus on intention, rather how something was perceived. I don’t avoid others with different beliefs, though I won’t participate in mis or disinformation and I absolutely will call someone in when I sense that they will do that. I’m a straightforward, friendly, outgoing person with boundaries, and while I’m able to go absolutely nuclear and destroy someone utterly, I do not want to be like that. I enjoy people and I think everyone should have the freedom of respect and self expression. I love learning about people and getting to know different types of folks, and I have a wide circle of friends-many who I can really, genuinely count on, and who can count on me. Just thought I’d throw that out there. Sometimes experiential information is valuable, and I hope that my comment is just that.

My boyfriend drew me in at my lowest,I'm struggling today to hang onto myself. We've been together almost 4 years. I'm 58 he's 34, we've been homeless the whole time. We've blown through all of my savings,am dealing with lifelong disability,and he guilts me everyday to have sex,even though he knows I'm not able physically at times;so he always threatens to get his NEEDS taken care of else where and lives like a pig in the meantime so anything I have gets trashed or damaged,and I'm left to clean up the messes,while he's pulled a disappearing act and comes back wondering what my fn problem is,how he can't be around someone like me who just treats him like sh#+.

I have the ability to read people pretty well. I'm not sure how I got this trait, but I have it. I have met some of those people and could tell something was off about the person. They would bounce off of me like water on a duck. I would warn my friends about such individuals and my friends would later thank me for giving them a heads up.

I tried to bribe my friend with a pound of weed to NOT DATE and be with a known garden tool because I despised the feeling she gave off. Told the others what he did and told them not to share any of it with him. He was all smiles and chill. Now?

That work place ethic is why im scared to work again..Every business I worked for, got drama'ed up by me so much. It was absurd. I had to literally stay away from anyone to actually work and not bring down the company. Keep interactions as brief as possible.
Just ended an almost 8 year friendship with a dark empath whom I suspected was strange all along but whom I now see fits every one of these traits and then some from other videos. It took me living with him for a year and a half to see what he really was. He is one of the most horrible human beings I have ever met. The type of person that you wish were never even born, as the World would be a much better place without them. I love videos like this because they shed light on human psychology and help us weed out the good people, who in my opinion are few and far between, especially here in the US and the Western world in general.

I use a crazy amount of small favor that get seen or unseen to make the “target” life smoother… I then phrase questions in a way that people voluntarily do what I want.
“Hay do you want me to drive back?” (I don’t want to drive)
“Hay your already doing X, is it possible you could do Y”
If you actually look at what I do, it’s not actually a lot. But everyone loves me and gives me praise/volunteers to work with me. I don’t sabotage relationships or anything, I actually build them up or help people because then I get more attention from them and others… and they also do more stuff for me lol
That's the way I function as well. You're basically just asking favours from someone without directly asking the question. There's nothing malicious about it when taken in a positive context. After all, what many misunderstand is the context. There are people who are total idiots who deserve every sarcastically dark comment coming their way and then there are those who are just simply very bubbly and willing to help in any way they can, no questions asked. I tend to prefer the latter type as they are not annoying, but rather closer to giving me some calm in my otherwise chaotic headspace that aims to control CEOs and other influential individuals who aren't always headstrong. As opposed to me approaching them, it's those particular individuals coming to me. I just have to dress up and be well-groomed for those types to find me approachable.

I can possibly diagnose as being of the empath+Machiavellian mix of dark empath. Whenever I get into romantic relationships, they're based on whether I can trust the other party and, if not, then I engage in their mind games before proactively pulling the plug on the relationship without notice. I can't be bothered to shit-talk them and then tell them, "You know what? We're through." If I realize the relationship isn't worth investing in, then I don't feel the need to emotionally or mentally invest in breaking up with them in the first place, unless it's a simple matter of two personalities just not meshing well.
ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT AND FIGURE OUT WHY YOUR GUT IS SENDING ALARM BELLS. NEVER DOWNPLAY YOUR GUT INSTINCTS.

I think the phrase 'dark empath' is misleading and a misuse under the heading of the word Empathy. You're describing a narcissist (or sociopath or psychopath) who is capable of mimicking, imitating, copying others with the purpose of assuming, acting, pretending 'being empathetic' and 'helpful' and 'sympathetic' etc.for an ulterior motive---a BAD motive, BAD intention and goal. That is not true Empathy or an actual empath imo. Maybe a better term would be dark (evil-intentioned) 'pseudo-empath'.

Dark Empaths eat Narcissists and almost exclusively bad/evil/bullying individuals. The rule we break most commonly against our fellow humans is: to abuse the abuser. If you don't fall into that description, you're probably dealing with Narcissistic personalities as they don't care or discern who/what they impact.
Conclusion: a dark empath is an extremely high skilled narcissist.
He learns "what do the narcissistic lacks, misses and fails? Grandiosity? Hide it well. Lack of empathy? Compensate it developing cognitive empathy. Love bombing? Do it more subtly. Mirroring? Do it like a master. The other features (gaslight, blame shifting, guilt trip, manipulation) go on as well.
If a person tries to use guilt to motivate you into doing, saying or agreeing to anything, 🚩

I have known many physically beautiful, flirty, charismatic women who fit this description. I can now spot them immediately and distance myself from them. This causes great damage to my social life, but I would rather be alone than subject myself to these venomous demons.

I recall the red flags. He targeted my cherished bond with my children. I was a single mom with young kids when he met me. That was the first cruel joke! I guess my bond with my children made his small petty heart jealous. He wrote me off as weak but he was so infantile in his true emotions when he did display them. You are describing covert narcissists, not empaths. Empaths only lose empathy and hurt people who show them no empathy. Its called mirroring. The idea is to show them how it feels to be treated how they treat you. Unfortunately, this rarely works because then they make you look like the bad guy.
