It's fun watching someone else new machine embroidery. When I embroider a sweatshirt, I like to use a fusible or non fusible backing, and on top I place the sulky solvy and the stitches seem to turn out really great. They don't sink into the fabric at all. I wish I could attach a picture of the two I did a month ago ... just to share. I have an old Babylock Esante which I'm glad is still kicking. I still love it, and I think it's got to be over 25 years old.
Whenever I take these videos, I hear a lot about the Esante and how great it is! That's awesome! I have a few old Singer machines, all metal, etc...they don't make sewing and/or embroidery machines like they used to!! (:
Can we PLESEEEEEEEEEEE get more videos with this machine. I got it as a Christmas gift and there are hardly ANY 4x4 videos out (because its too small). Its too late for me to return it but I dont want to make tea towels and key chains and that seems to be all that this machine is good for per the only videos I can find.
I would love a video on how to embroider on a small item (a face mask possibly) using the 4x4 hoop. My machine will arrive any day and I am beyond excited. I've watched all your videos and they are so helpful!
I have a video on doing just that here: ruclips.net/video/mEq1XHhocwI/видео.html I used the basic pattern for a face mask from JoAnn (which I made a whole other basic tutorial on), but what was weird is that it came out sooo big this time! LOL! I think it was the fabric...it was a little stiff. Anyway, I hope that helps you! TYSM, that was a very kind comment!!
Hey, that type of stabilizer is used on top to keep the threads from sinking into the fabric not under it. You need a different stabilizer in the frame.
She should have used tear away in the hoop and solvy on top. The tear away stabilizer does not take that much effort to remove. You just need a little patience if you want your end product to look professional. If you are not going to do it right, don't do it at all. So to answer your question, yes she should have used a stabilizer in the hoop.
@@themelonpatchbydeb8411 you can't tell someone not to do it at all, if they don't do it right. She did it the way SHE wanted to do it. If she's satisfied with the end product then that's all that matters. Oh, and no one actually asked a question. They made a statement. So you didn't answer anyone's question. She should have done what she wanted to do, because the only one she needed to please was herself.
I work with a 12 head and a 2 head embroidery machine for over 30 years. You never use the clear stabilizer(solvy) as a backing. Always goes on top. If you don’t want to see white backing then you should buy black backing. Solvy always goes on top when needed. Like sweaters, Polo’s ,towels etc.....
This is a cool machine. I have a singer stylist 9100, and it can embroid simple letters and borders, but I don’t think it can do more than one letter at a time and that is quite a hassle
Found you Again! I was looking at your unboxing for this machine early this morning and I noticed I wasn't subscribed. Not sure how that happened, but anyway I'm glad to be back. Anyway after watching I decided to get it. I already have 2 sewing machines so I decided not to get the combo. Plus the Disney designs sold me. I've got 2 grandkids, 7 yrs old and 8 months so the Disney stuff is going to be great.

I need help please Do you know why the needle threader cannot thread the needle? I got my new machine! I have tried all day! I feel so frustrated!please help!
Your videos are great thank you! I did get mine today and tried to follow your steps. My only issue is my top thread is not coming through only the bottom :(
TYSM! That's weird, did you thread it correctly? Maybe double check that. You still have to thread it manually, the bottom bobbin will come up on its own.
the little scissor button does the cutting for you, you dont need to cut with scissors and the scissor icon on the screen also allows clean cuts. Also there is a cutter for your upper thread and bobbin on the left hand side of the machine, however thanks for sharing as brother dont give us much help.
@@VianneyCreates you're welcome, we appreciate your videos because as I said, brother don't give us much information. RUclips is a learning resource that we all use thesedays, so keep the videos coming😊👍
hi! i know this video was posted so long ago. but i got the brother PE 535 for christmas. and it was working and then the needle broke. so i changed it out. looks like it’s in place but the automatic threader won’t hoop onto the needle? is there any tips you can give me? i can’t find any videos on the internet because my needle isn’t bent at all and the need is in the upright most position. it just won’t loop onto the needle. if you have tips please let me know! thank you.
@@facundocaruso2628 hey! so i live in colorado i went on the brother website and looked to see where there repair shops were in my area. i went to 2 that are called rocky mountain sewing and vacuums and they just have a few location the first one was closest to me sucked they told me i needed to pay $200 to get it sent off and fixed. so i went to a different one that’s out of the way. a woman there that works in the store, she was amazing she just used her tools to fix the needle threader for me since it was bent. i have come to her 3 times now cuz she’s so good and always fixes it with no charge. so i would just look at the website find a store locator and go to one of the location in your area. if they tell u u need to pay to get it sent off and fixed, don’t. go to another location and get a second opinion, maybe even a third so u don’t waste money! :) i hope rhat helps! let me know if u have anymore questions
U just have to reposition the needle in good until the threader works again. Make sure u raise the needle all the way up then come down slowly each time u try the auto threader. It will eventually thread it. I had the same problem, thought it was broke, but that tweaked it. - RL
Hello ! I have a question ! Do u know what size needle this machine uses ? My needles broke and I’m in search of some but no luck I don’t get it lol pls help thank you so much
Hi i have this exact machine & my upper thread keeps getting caught under where the bobbin thread is & im also having a problem with the stitching being lose even on 5/4 tension any tips?
I have not done that because pretty much everyone just rips the seams in those areas to lay it flat...and then sews them up again. I don't want to do that.
I have another video coming up today on embroidering, but I am referring to this video! LOL! I filmed it, then came back to add an edit to the intro. This is the "name" video. (:

You know, I don't think I do. Other than making a continuous card. Some cards that are fun and don't have to be done with dies are stepper cards or napkin fold cards. Maybe search YT for tutorials on those.
Hope you have found the preview button, you almost had it ...press as you did, but don’t press ok...it showed a second icon just off to the right Press that....
You are doing this entirely wrong! The Sulky goes on top of the hoodie. You still need stabilizer in the hoop. You could have used tear away stabilizer. Please if you are going to do embroidery tutorials make sure you are giving the correct information.
I don't expect people to listen to my every word...but I did state in the video why I used the stabilizer the way I did and that it's not typical. Please make your own tutorials since you are all knowing.

Was having those problems too. Try cleaning the bobbin area with a Q-tip and put your tension on 6. Should fix those issues.
Do you know how to do it on a hoodie sleeve ?
I have not done that because pretty much everyone just rips the seams in those areas to lay it flat...and then sews them up again. I don't want to do that.
Hi :) I was wondering if this machine does other designs from like say a photo not just text?
Yes, the machine will do whatever you tell it to...but whatever you try to import has to be digitized with an embroidery software like Embrilliance.
Do you use any software? If yes, which one? Nice video
I don't bc I don't create my own designs,
@@VianneyCreates Oh ok. Thanks.
I have a question does it only do Disney designs or can you upload your own?
You can upload your own, it has a USB...so connect to computer or thumbdrive. I have a video on that.
it’s never enough for shawty right here
how do i update? please the software
Thank you
What number on the dial ?
Tension what number
I'm sorry, I don't recall. I have never moved the tension dial from what the factory had it set on. I would have to go pull out my machine to look.
Great job 👍 I can't wait to get my machine 💪
Thanks so much! It looks so cute when she wears her hoodie.
Can you buy a bigger hoop or is that the only size you can use on that machine ?
you can buy a bigger hoop, but the embroiderey surface is 4 x 4, but the larger hoop allows you to add multiple designs within the area
