I am very lucky that I only work part time and get a nice amount of stitchy time but yeah, it does feel like I'm getting a lot done right now 😄 I've so loved Castle Homecoming and I'll be happy to get a finish of it but also sad that it's over!

Ooohhh …another cheery update. It’s always a good day when a new flosstube from you pops up in my inbox! Amazing progress on your wips & that new Joan Elliot is a real WOW! May I say, you have the loveliest hands with perfectly shaped & manicured natural nails. Your custom dyed fabrics intrigue me…I really must look into finding someone who does that in the US… because shipping charges from UK to US is a lot 😳 So love your work & updates….cheers to you from Texas, my stitchy friend💕
Thanks Dianne 😊 I appreciate the comment on my hands...I know a lot of Flosstubers have fancy nails but it's not really me, so I'm glad you like them natural. I have only discovered hand dyed fabric in the past year and oh boy, it's a whole new world! There are definitely lots you can get in the USA so definitely have a look around. I think a few I have heard mentioned are Fiber on a Whim, Fiberlicious Yummy Fibres and Picture This Plus but I think there are heaps of options. I am so loving my new Joan Elliott Sorceress and I don't think I can hold out long before starting her 😂

Hi Kat. I've been following you on You Tube for a few months now. I just love your projects! WOW! They are stunning! I'm just getting back into cross stitching after a 20+ year break! So much has changed! There are some many different fabric colors and more than just Aida! AND other floss companies other than DMC! (Although DMC is my favorite still). Thanks for sharing your life, projects and your creations! You are inspiring!!! I hope your dyed fabric arrives soon! Hope to see you again soon!

Needle minders were a revelation to me 😂 And I've only started using hand dyed fabric in the past year! There's always lots to learn and new things to try in the world of cross stitch 😄
I'm doing the JWST SAL too, and like you I was waiting for my hand dyed fabric. It's a good thing it's not illegal to "stalk" Canada Post! LOL Luckily for me it arrived yesterday just in time for me to finish the branches on my 2024 temperature tree, so tonight it goes on the frame and the threads I needed to buy for it get bobbinated. Tomorrow I get to start stitching! Yay!
Oh, that's so awesome that you can start stitching this SAL 😄 I have just heard that 1 of my 2 fabric options has been posted so now I will be stalking the postal service too 😂
Thank you 😊 I have some Thread Heaven, which I use for metallic threads so will try that. It's discontinued now so I can always try Thread Joy if I need more!
I have thread magic same as thread heaven what I found was you would get a bit of it like snow flakes on the thread you can just rub them off. The thread joy there is no bits on it and it makes the thread more like silk does not cake up on the thread and it has a lovely smell just my opinion. Don't need it for DMC though. @@catkinandlillie
I know how 13 days happened on Winter's Gift... it's just so pretty how can you not?! All of your projects are great. I can't believe you stitch in hand for everything! Maybe I need to try that.... Good to see you and happy stitching!!
I think maybe I am trying to cram in more time with Winter's Gift before I have to put her away 😂 It's worth trying stitching in hand, just to see what you think. I find hoops/frames just make my hands hurt and I feel like I have more control over my needle when I can hold the fabric close to where I'm stitching.
I've done a couple of videos about stitching in hand including one with general tips, but not so much a tutorial. Something for me to look at doing I think!

When I saw those sweets my heart jumped! Leone is a sweet company very near to my house and heart! They had a bit of a troubled time during Covid, I'm so happy to see that they are thriving abroad as well as in my country! Happy stitching to you, love from Italy ❤
Love seeing the progress on all your WIPS . Why did I immediately think of Elvis when you showed the king? I just ordered the SAL as I love that type of design, even though I’ve got another SAL on the go for the next 5 months. Luckily the clue for that one comes out monthly, so I hope I can keep up but I’m not too worried if I don’t.

Aw, sorry to hear your stitchy bug has gone on holiday...I reckon it will be back. Sometimes a new start can help but I know that's not for everyone. Otherwise I think maybe just let it come back on its own, and if it feels right, do something else in the meantime, either another crafty pursuit or something different like reading. I'm glad you can enjoy my videos anyway...and my jumper 😂🩷

Fabulous work so far. I use Anchor threads I run it through Thread Joy thread gloss I bought it on Etsy United Kingdom.. I like your scissors.
