Now this gen although it's still recognizable as an SL, but again same angles and design language that can be seen and found in CLS and A Class

Same shit in the comments for every new damn car. Look at an SL63 from 20 years ago, do you think that's cheap to run? Or a CL65? 15k goes very quickly with one of those. If you want something reliable and cheap to run get a C220d, cars like this one are for people in a very different income bracket than you and me. Someone buying one used doesn't buy it because they can't afford a new one, they buy it because they don't *want* a new one.

Why did they not use this "63" engine in the C63 ? Also why is the SL400 a 4 cylinder if they were going to make the SL63 a V8 ? None of this line up makes any sense.
The logic behind the 4cyl C63 was that all C class models were going to have 4 cylinders, E class would have up to 6 cylinders and top of the line S, SL and GT cars would get a V8. Market made it clear very quickly that such approach was not going to be successful. As for the SL400, there is no such car (in the R232 generation), I assume you mean the SL43. Yeah, that's a bit of a weird one, they wanted to make an entry level SL and they had the 4 cylinder laying around. It's a good engine with decent output, just not exactly fit for an SL. Anyway, it sells amazingly well, it's by far the most common SL I see on the road. Sadly, a lot of buyers don't really care about the engine, they just want the status that comes with an AMG SL convertible and Mercedes were very aware of this
What surprised me most before the Autobahn runs was the ~50 kmh entry into the 180. It looked so planted it's almost like you could feel it through the video, and it didn't look like Max had to brace before it either.
Just a little hint: if you want to turn off the speed limit warning, you can just push the little icon in the top left corner of the screen or push & hold the mute button on the steering wheel for 2 seconds. Much easier than flipping through the menus. This works for mostly all new Mercedes-Benz Models.
Headlight technology is not discussed too much unfortunately. Please consider presenting in detail headlights in future videos as the technology is quite cool nowadays.
I don't think people really understand how crazy this car is. It's basically a refined Mercedes SL with Hypercar performance. Completely bonkers and like nothing I've seen on the channel. His reaction says it all.
