I used Cubase for a while but went back to Logic ’cos I like it more. And it since it’s Apple’s product it just works flawlessly with my iMac. But I use Cubase & ProTools when a (collaboration) project requires that. Or whatever DAW but those three I have on my computer and Logic is the one I use the most.
Try Jazz 3 or other super small picks, get the thumb close as possible to that string! also lowering strings, raising pickups close to strings, and making sure the intonation is set are all musts! Good luck brotha
Great demo! I have a MLC Subzero Vogg signature, and it’s one of the best amps I own. This pluggin sounds to my ears like it nails a lot of the real amp’s character. Also, wow that ESP with the Concord stock is hot!!!

My question is: Do you have any suggestions for getting the amp to sound somewhat like the Iced Earth chug? I don't expect an exact match, but I'd like to capture that vibe while retaining the amazing Plexi character. Would using an EQ pedal or something similar help?
While i'm on love with the song, i think the mix or at least the guitars are lacking, especially when it comes to the low end and mids which translate to the "hugness" of the guitars, i suggest you play around with the 400 to 800 range up to 2k see what you can boost without making sound muddy and this mix will just be perfect! again love the song kinda nostalgic no idea why! cheers mate.
what a cool Guitar. i used to have an ESP Horizon Custom in Magenta from about 1988/9 to 2005 and then sold it. I regret bitterly now. It was one with the Jackson Lawsuit Headstock. Some day i will buy such an ESP again, but they are hard to find. Btw. Cool Riff also.
That is sounding absolutely amazing! Love the guitar, it's gorgeous. I have an Edwards Kiko Loureiro signature model that is similar, but without the reverse headstock. 27 frets! Love it, but the neck pickup is a little compromised due to the position, it's more like a middle position pickup. But you are sounding fantastic as usual.
I see, you got an SSL Fusion. That's an awesome piece of gear. The new Bogren plugin sounds awesome. I think I will at least trial it, to see if it helps with me getting tired of using plugins to play guitar at home.

An overdrive in front should do the job 🤟.
