The AMP-X is going to be amazing. Thomas has been putting a lot of effort into making it as great as it can be. You can't rush things like this. It will be done, when it is done. Glad you are working with him to replicate The Bad Boy tone. Like you said, when AMP-X is finished, it will be your new live rig.

JCM800 is a crunch beast! I sold/bought it so many times in a past :-) I bought a new one yesterday :-) I have never been drug addicted, but i think, that JCM800 is something like a heroine :-)

It's always a joy to see how you light up when playing an 800, like any day playing the 800 is the best day ever. It is a bucket list amp for me for sure along with the 1987. Would love to see you review the Origin 50, and how it compares to the 1987x (and of course the 800)

Damn, I love your tone so much! So here's a question for you- I actually have a 2203 master volume from 1976 sitting right beside me but I live in an apartment. I haven't plugged it in for like a decade and it's just sitting here. I've traditionally always used amp modelers like POD HD Pro X and plugins when I play / record on my computer over the years. Ive seen things come out like the captor-x but im not sure if it's worth ditching my plugins and investing in something like the captor-X? I own a dr. Z airbrake but again this hasn't been used in years. Could I expect to get a better tone from going back to my Marshall or should I give up and stick with the plugins? No chance to use a 4x12 sadly.

I used to have a 77 Super Lead 100 that sounded just like that. Wish I still had that amp. My 2002 JCM 800 2203X holds its own though. Killer Tone Bro!
Hay Euge , i had a 800 with 4x12 with celestion green backs, in the bands i used to be in, but got fed up because it was hurting my back as it was heavy as hell to carry, then kids came alone and it had to go lol yours sounds awesome.
I'm looking very closely at how he sets his Od dials. Copying it haha. No, what do I want with it I'm an Orange and Maxon 808 guy. But I use Od2 also and it very cool. Great fun playing Elga!

Is it strange that I like all of them, but each one sounds slightly different, but sometimes better suited for what you're playing. The Bad Boy "chunks" harder, but for the staccato single note stuff, I like the aggressiveness of the reissue. The ZW and Little Bro sound very similar. Great job tho!!! Sounds amazing as always!
I do wonder about your bad boy - I suspect it might have a 0.68uf capacitor over the third stage cathode resistor, or something like that. Something simple and very effective
