    I just received this model of the toothbrush. And I have to say. They are knocking it out of the park. The brush head feels nice and soft. And after cleaning my teeth. I feel like I just left a dental office.
    Update, after having it for almost 6 months. I actually prefer this toothbrush over the sonicare toothbrushes. In my opinion it feels more comfortable for me to brush with this particular brush because of the round brush head. After all, when a hygienist cleans your teeth the brush head that they use is also round as well.

    So I looked up if it connects to Bluetooth it doesn't I thought all of the ones that said smart would connect to Bluetooth or the Oral B app but I'm assuming it only works for newer models so I'm kinda disappointed that it will not work with Bluetooth or the app but I did purchase the smart 1500 rechargeable toothbrush because it is somewhat cheaper than the newer models which there is so many new ones and I noticed that some of the newer models say the same features or say they remove up to the same amount of plaque like this model I believe this is my first Oral B toothbrush and I am excited to see if I feel or notice any difference in my mouth and teeth I have been using a Sonic toothbrush because I thought they worked just as good but the Sonic one I had would just vibrate so I don't think it worked as good cleaning my teeth and inside of my mouth so I'm hoping this model helps my teeth because I hate going to the dentist and having cavities and I think it would be a good starter toothbrush maybe one day I'll get a newer model but for now I'll get used to this one first and it might even be better than the newer ones you never know and I was kinda hesitant to begin with on getting a Bluetooth one because I figured it would be hard to figure out but I really hope I love this one 😊I just got it today

    Not knowing the "mode" one is in is an unacceptable design failure. How does find out? The very least the design wizards (?) at Oral B should have done is some lit indicator on the power oval to tell you which mode is active. Maybe in the "Smart 1500 V2.0?"

    I have an old Philips Sonicare Essence that I was looking to upgrade. I was looking at the Sonicare 4100, but decided to switch to Oral-B. I was planning on purchasing the 1500 series, but noticed the Genius 6000 is on sale for the same price. Looks like the 6000 might be the better buy right now with the extra features and accessories. What are your thoughts? Is the 6000 outdated compared to the 1500 or do they pretty much share the same internals? Thanks for your videos and reviews!

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Год назад

      If it is the same price it is probably worth getting the Genius 6000.
      From a cleaning perspective, they are very comparable.
      You will have the benefit of the extra features of the Genius, if you want to use them.
      Pro and con is the Genius has the extra grip on the handle, but it can be harder to keep clean.

  • @Robert-yp9zs
    @Robert-yp9zs 2 года назад +2

    Another design weakness (or oversight or flaw). It concerns the mode-on/off selector button. It needs a raised nipple so it can easily be found by feel. The present very subtle depression is not easily found, if at all, when one's hand is wet. While one may start the process with thumb on button, while brushing, one rotates the brush in hand, so thumb is no longer on button!. Now, when one wants to it turn off (or switch modes) one cannot easily find button by feel. Thus, a raised surface is needed. Please fix for V2.0.

    Hi there great video can you please tell me what exactly is the difference between the daily clean mode and the whitening mode.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад

      Hi Zoe.
      The difference is relatively minor. What changes is the number of oscillations and pulsations of the brush head on each mode.
      With the Daily Clean mode the oscillations are 8,800 with up to 40,000 pulsations.
      With the whitening mode the oscillations are between 6,100 and 8,800 with pulsations of 28,000-40,000.

    • @ElectricTeeth

      Having used both, there is basically no difference. In fact, the motor (as I understand it) is marginally better in the Pro 2 2500.
      Also the extra grip on the brush handle of the 2500 is nice. Although it could be argued the 1500 looks a bit cleaner.

      Are you based in Australia? If so, the Pro 1500X is a little different to the Smart 1500 shown in this video.
      Confusingly models vary across the world. The Pro 1500X does not have the 'light ring' that the Smart 1500 has.
      If you want this, you will need to opt for the Pro 3000 available in Australia. It's the equivalent model to the Smart 1500.

      The modes are likely Daily Clean, Sensitive and Whitening. That is the order they usually work in.

    Hi, i have a very old oral b toothbrush (3709 pro ). is it worth it to upgrade to these newer brushes? will it make a big difference to the cleaning? There's a half price deal at the shop for a oral B Smart 4 4000n for AUD$99 and also a oral B pro 3000 for AUD$79. i am leaning toward the smart 4 as the pro 3000 isnt a pro 3.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад +1

      You will notice a difference by upgrading. It won't be a huge difference but it should be noticeable.
      Sounds a good price for the Smart 4 4000. Our top pick for Australia is the Pro 2 2000 which is usually around $90ish so an extra $10 for the extra features of the Smart 4 is not bad at all.

    The company sucks! Forget about getting someone at the company to answer a question or give tech support!

    I want to thank you so much for this review I just received my Oral B pro 1500 it is outstanding!! I am so happy it is the best Oral B I have ever purchased.
    One question due to an over eager orthodontist in my youth my teeth got straightened too quickly as a result the teeth are not as rooted as they should be. I have lost one of my back teeth already and taking Biphosphonate for osteoporosis. I wish I could get an implant but concerned about the risk of osteo necrosis. I would like to strengthen and improve my gums have you heard about a vitamin for gum health called Dentitox pro? Would really welcome your feedback. Thankful for my Pro1500

      Glad you found the review useful and are pleased with your purchase.
      I (Jon) haven't hears of this vitamin. Our in-house dentists more than likely have.
      To be honest we steer away from providing this sort of advice online. It is going to be one for you to discuss with your dental professional.

      @@ElectricTeeth Hi Jon, in this same narrative, but now asking with oral B brush heads, which would be best for gum care?

      I suggest the Oral-B Sensi UltraThin/Pro GumCare - Same head, different name depending on what region of the world you are in. Super soft bristles. 👍🦷

    I hate that I have to replace the whole 1500 every 2-3 years, since they make it impossible to change the battery & designed it for the dump. Bad for the environment. Shame on you in 2023, oral-b.
    Are the new 1500 compatible with the old 1500 charger or any oral-b base that fits?
    I hate the 2nd button. It’s useless. I keep pressing it to turn it on & gets me frustrated I have to look down & choose a button now. I think the added modes are a waste, I brush my teeth for three-4 minutes & adding modes with lulls will just waste more of my time, thanks for nothing oral-b. I guess I don’t find any of the new features necessary, useful or an upgrade. Just drop the price. The only improvement needed, to an already perfect previous iteration product. Not add unnecessary junk to jack up the price.

      Sorry to read that your brushes have failed.
      Yes, the 1500 is compatible with older 1500 or other standard style Oral-B stands.
      You could look at the Pro 1000. It only has 1 cleaning mode.
      It does lack visible pressure sensor and the motor isn't quite as powerful. but not a lot in it. It's cheaper at around $50.

      @@ElectricTeeth it looks like the pro 1000 is rechargeable, meaning no swappable battery. Is the pro 100 the best swappable battery oral b?
      Looks like it’s lacking features in the 1500 that actually matter, like performance.

      Correct the Pro 1000 has a built in rechargeable. Was offering at a s 'cheaper option'.
      The Pro 100 is the best Oral-B with removable battery but it has many limitations.
      No electric toothbrushes I can think of have user replaceable rechargeable batteries.
      If you are open to other brands, you should consider SURI. It is a sonic toothbrush that is designed intentionally to allow the battery to be replaced, albeit by the manufacturer. ruclips.net/video/rxbQ8z5E77k/видео.html

      @@ElectricTeeth it’s tough to justify the price & hassle sending them in for battery replacement. That’s why Costco is king.
      $69.99 for 2 Oral-B Smart Clean 360 Rechargeable Handles, 3 Brush Heads, 2 Travel Cases and 2 Chargers
      &
      $43.99 for a 10 pk Cross Action Replacement Heads really can’t be beat.

      It isn't an issue. Most Oral-B brush heads are like this.
