They are all essentially identical brushes. The main difference is the box contents. The Smart 2000 is the sames as the Smart 1500, but the 2000 is mainly sold in Canada. Hi John ,my rose gold 9000 has just stopped charging ,so I was going to go for the higher modal which has the case.My question is ,I don’t travel & tbh I don’t do the mirror app thing lol.So do I go for the same modal that has just kicked the bucket or in your opinion does the higher one perform better even though the case etc is not needed for me 👍🏻😁
Hi Jane. Great question. First thing is to check whether your brush is still within warranty. I am presuming not, but worth a shot to see if you can get it repaired if it is. Given your circumstances, I would go for the one you already have. Although, this Smart 2000 might be cheaper and worth opting for?! The more premium model doesn't clean the teeth any better.
I am led to believe there is no difference in the brush motor on these models. You are just paying for non-essential extras. That is fine if you will use them, but typically the Smart 2000 will be better value.
It is very confusing, particularly when the model names are the same or similar for different countries. We have a number of comparisons on our sites, depending on your location. Are you in Canada?
So the Pro 2 2000 in Australia is a different handle design to the Smart 2000 of Canada. Basically do the same job, but look different. The Pro 3000 in Australia is closest to the Smart 2000 of Canada. The Pro 2 2000 vs Pro 3000 in Australia. The 3000 has an additional brushing mode (whitening). The handle design is different. The 3000 is more minimal looking, easer to keep clean, but not as grippy. The visible pressure sensor is larger. Those are the key differences. I hope that helps.
hello john, what about the Oral-B Smart 2200? is noise? is good? is smart? somebody recomended me the 2200 charcoal infused bristles. (i'm sorry by my english... i hope you understand me😁 say hi from Mexicali, México
It is basically the same brush as the Oral-B Smart 2000, the difference being the brush head (bristles) supplied. The charcoal head is ok, but I think the CrossAction of Pro GumCare/Sensi UltraThin is better. The noise produced should be the same.
Hey Jon or anyone reading this, Do you know of any electric toothbrushes with a small flexible head that can angle in? I have a severe physical disability and bad jaw contractures [very small opening] and have a lot of difficulty brushing the insides of my teeth, even with help. Any suggestions?
Hey. Most electric toothbrushes have a fixed brush head with no option of flexibility. I appreciate it is not specific, but we have a generalised guide to disability and oral care options on the following link: www.electricteeth.com/dental-care-disabilities/ - You might find something of use in that. You might find that you could be a candidate for a triple headed toothbrush or a mouthpiece toothbrush, potentially. If you can drop us an email to contact [at]electricteeth[dot]co[dot]uk we can look into this further and discuss for you and get back to you potentially with some more specific recommendations.

please recommend the best electric toothbrush with price around $40-$50
The Oral-B Pro 1000 would be our pick.
Good choice.
Yep. Just give them a good rinse after brushing.

@@ElectricTeeth It’s in bin lol I’m going for io8 Violet as it’s on offer in Boots ,thanks so much 👍🏻🙂
do you think Oral-B GENIUS X LIMITED has just as fast motor as smart 2000 is it worth the extra money or just bells and wistles?

oral b has way too many models that are so similar to each other, how is this smart 2000 different from pro 3 3000 and pro 2000.....
It is very confusing, particularly when the model names are the same or similar for different countries.

@@ElectricTeeth thanks for the reply, indeed, and for each model, there seems to have new and old versions too. I’m in Australia

@@ElectricTeeth thank you for taking the time!!
so there’s no difference between the Smart 2000 and Smart 1500?
No, not that we know of. Just different names to market them in different countries.
The sensor lights up on the 2000 vs the 1500 that has no light
This is not correct. Both have a visible pressure sensor that lights up.

After watching this and the pro 3 3000 they seem identical?
Well spotted. They are. The Smart 2000 is for the Canadian market whereas the Pro 3 3000 is primarily UK/EU.

Are you a dentist ?
I, Jon, the presenter of this video am not a dentist. We have dentists on the team. I have over the years learnt a lot from the dental pro's though.
