I work in Epcot as a cast member and I hear this song nearly every night, sometimes when I close a shop and sometimes on my way out of the park. It never lost its magic. For me it's like the anthem of humankind. It perfectly represent Epcot since it's about a positive attitude towards the future of a united humankind, hope and peace. It's very thoughtful and soft, but at the same time (also thanks to the firework and the atmosphere it's played in) really powerful and strong. I love that. (also it's the "shift is almost over" theme music for me haha)
+gGgerlog I concur! You can never grow tired of this song. A thousand years from now, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, this song will be as inspiring then as it is now.
I swear to god, if the crowd doesn’t sing along to this during the final show in 2019, I will be disappointed and maybe even offended, this song deserves a proper send off
I made a special trip just to see this show one more time before it's gone my mom and I stood there and sang every word. Now it's back to college finals for me.
Getting to watch the show was the only fantastic part of working through extra magic hours. It was stirring everytime I saw it. Thanks for posting this!
This song literally gives us the lesson of Epcot: We go on To the joy and through the tears We go on To discover new frontiers Moving on With the current of the years. We go on Moving forward, now as one Moving on With a spirit born to run Ever on With each rising sun. To a new day We go on.
I LOVE Illuminations. The firework show beats all the rides, all the food, and everything else. It fills me with so much happiness and like others said, brings tears to my eyes. I've been to Disney World every other year of my life with my family. Last year was the last year we went because my mom has a disease that weakens her motor neurons. And it was SO powerful when we saw the firework show for the last time.It is really what makes the trips for me.That family connection. So amazing :')
This show always had me in full fledge tears during "We Go On". It brings back so many memories of taking my daughter to Disney when she was growing up. I was a Cast Member, and I also worked for the company that Disney contracted for their babysitting service. I remember sitting with the kids that I babysat on their hotel balconies and watching Illuminations. This show will live on in my heart forever!!
I heard this song for a week once every year since I was in my mother's stomach, as Disney World has always been a tradition of ours. And to this day, it has never gotten old, and still as I listen to this wistful and beautiful song, it still brings me a heavy feeling in my heart and a tear or two to my eyes. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
if you're wondering "where's the timpani roll that I always heard at the beginning of the song in the park. it was added after the CD had been released.
This song makes me cry... I love it... it just gives me motivation to keep my head up... I've been thru a lot of crap over the past 10 years and this song speaks to me on every level of being strong
With the still soft the night, there comes a time to understand to reach out and touch tomorrow, take the future in our hand we can see a new horizon build on our that we have done and our dreams begin other thousand circles around the sun we go on, to the joy and through the tears, we go on to discover new frontiers, moving on with the current time of the year we go on, moving forward now as one moving on with the spirit of tomorrow moving on with the raising sun to a new beginning, go on we go on ......
With the stillness of the night, There comes a time to understand, To reach out and touch tomorrow, Take the future in our hand. We can see a new horizon Built on all that we have done, And our dreams begin another Thousand circles 'round the sun. We go on To the joy and through the tears. We go on, Moving forward now as one, Moving on With a spirit born to run, Ever on With each rising sun To a new day, We go on ...... We go on ......
I'm already miss illluminations. Some of my earliest memories are of me in a stroller eating tonkatsu ramen in 34 degree weather watching this show. I am and will be sad, but "We go on" to harmonious.
whos is listening in Feb of 2019? I went to Disney in 2012. I hope they still play it cause I wanna go back and watch all over again. It's just so magical!
Luiz Landim Illuminations is still playing but only until the end of this summer. The song is still in it and is breathtaking as ever. I recommend getting a fast pass for the show and arriving as early as possible if not, watch from the waterfront in front of Mexico and get there 1.5 hours early. It’s worth it.
@@Ben-nj8vt well thanks for letting me know. But i'm from Brazil. I couldn't watch in mexico even if I wanted to. Lol. I think they shouldn't stop playing this Song. :(
I was seven years old when the show began. My mom actually brought me to Epcot to watch the show for the first time and I cried. Now I’m 26, working at Epcot and now that the show is coming to an end, I always end up crying knowing I was able to bring my GRANDMOTHER to watch the show but my future children won’t be here to watch the show. I’m tearing up writing this right now. I love Illumination so much
The first time I saw this version of Illuminations was for Fourth of July and it was a life-changing event. There were tears in my eyes and I honestly think it was because I had an epiphany. I heard the words in this song, mixed with the beauty of what I was seeing, surrounded by a thousand happy people and realized that world peace is ridiculous, but not impossible..
This album was the first thing Ive remembered since I’ve been in this world. Still get emotional listening to this day and I hope Disney keeps this until I die. Once I go, they can get rid of it XD
Mischief Managed I'm sad too, but almost every attraction at WDW must come to an end at some time or another. Walt Disney once said that Disneyland will never be completed, not as long as their is imagination left in the world ( the same goes for Disneyworld ) I actually got around to seeing Illuminations for the first time just 2 days ago while i was at Epcot after almost a decade of hearing about how good it was supposed to be, and i thought it was incredible! Sadly, depending on when it closes my first time seeing this show could quite possibly be my last :(
I'm going to Disney in June (I'm graduating from high school) with my grandparents and mom and when this song plays after Reflections of Earth I will be BAWLING my eyes out because it's my last year of school and I will be moving on with my life.
My family and I (as many others) have the tradition of goin to disneyworld. Every year, we went mostly to see this show, to hear this song... im really sad about them taking it off
The fireworks were great but I realized it was the song I loved. I found We Go On on apple music done by James Last who had his own orchestra and did popular songs. The version is true to the original even in allowing time for the last burst of fireworks. I keep it on my phone and listen often.
This is probably the last chance I can say I’ve listened to this before Illuminations is done for the last time tonight... I always cried to this song when I was there, whether it was the first night of the trip or the last... tonight I’m unable to be there... but it will be the most emotional
I recently saw this 4 times in a row a few weeks ago. This part (along with the show as a whole) was so amazing. The last time I saw got me good as I knew I will never see this show again (I live in Southern California). When the last show happens, I'll be in California listening to the show at the exact time it happens (6 PM EST) and be with it at the very end
I’ve seen Illuminations on the last day of operation. I almost cried. I just listened to this on the Millennium Celebration album and the mix that I made.
This is such a great song! It almost brings tears to my eyes. I can't wait to go back to WDW. It's my favorite place and even though I'm grown and married, I still almost come to tears when I go. Thanks for posting!
I've heard mixed reviews. The music seems to be a bit divisive, but the technology and choreography of the show is excellent. I think part of the problem is that it can't really live up to Illuminations, so people are giving it harder criticism than they might otherwise (to be fair - nothing could really upstage illuminations).
IMO, that show is actually better than IllumiNations overall, but this song and "Promise" are beautiful too. The rest was kind of lame, especially when you were a ten-year old kid in the dark, like I was.
This and "Promise" are better than the instrumental parts! Kellie Coffey's voice is beautiful, and she provides emotion and feeling when she sings about the positive things of everyday life!
Loved this song and never knew who sang this ...I always thought it was Celine Dion but its not ... this song is awesome and what a great way to end Illuminations at EPCOT!!
+SapphireDragon95 Dont leave while this is playing, the show is still going on there are more fireworks and amazing things that go on. dont miss out on it!
this is the closing song for Illuminations, when the globe opens. Promise has the same chorus lyrics and is also on RUclips and that's the song you hear while leaving :)
Ah yes the feeling is returning to me...being dead on your feet and wanting to sleep/sit and all your parents want to do it stand and watch the fireworks xP. Then the battle for the buses ensues, good times...good times lol.
It makes me sad to realize to know that all good things must come to a end but Walt Disney said Disneyland will never be complete and that it will grow forever meaning old things must end in order for better things.
The princess picture at 1:41with Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty (in a purple dress) Jasmine & Bell. Can you tell me where you found it? I was at the MK in WDW when that picture was taken (I have a few I took too) but I could never figure out what promotion they were using it for. In fact this is the first time I've seen a picture since that day at the park.
If you haven't gotten it yet, you should be able to find a youtube downloader or something. Also, you could find a media converter online to download it with. Just be careful with what you choose, but you should be able to find it. If not, I should be able to get it for you, as I'm going to try to get it myself.
That sounds like a terrible idea, sure its disney world but thats not the message that theyre trying to send from the show nor does it fit the theme of World Showcase. It does however fit in the magic kingdom which is why at magic kingdom they have "Wishes".
+TheDisneylover71 +TheDisneylover71 what the hell are you talking about? If this was a wishes video or celebrate the magic then Cinderella would be acceptable but it's an illuminations video which should show pictures or images of world showcase or hell even pictures of other countries. Something that fit illuminations not pictures or words that says things about believing in wishes and them coming true Becuase that's not what goes with the video? Does that make sense?

I'm working in Epcot too and I love this song also ! And like you, it's the Song of "my shift is almost over" 😂 #castmemberteam !
gGgerlog for someone who. Comes every year I agree
Too bad this is closing next year
Gosh I wish I had a job like you. Being able to witness illumination every single night.
This song is one of mine and my grandmothers favorite song. I miss her so much, R.I.P Memaw ❤😢
I swear to god, if the crowd doesn’t sing along to this during the final show in 2019, I will be disappointed and maybe even offended, this song deserves a proper send off
metraking192 I sing every time lol !!
I will be singing it!!
I made a special trip just to see this show one more time before it's gone my mom and I stood there and sang every word. Now it's back to college finals for me.
I will be singing it on the final day... will be there to say Farewell to Illuminations
Tonight’s the night ._.
Watching this on Illuminations last day of operation. So many good memories with this show. Sad to see it go, but “We go on.”
Getting to watch the show was the only fantastic part of working through extra magic hours. It was stirring everytime I saw it. Thanks for posting this!
American Adventure merchandise, '08-'10
Good one !!
This was the heart of Epcot and I’m very sad they took it away
This song literally gives us the lesson of Epcot:
We go on
To the joy and through the tears
We go on
To discover new frontiers
Moving on
With the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward, now as one
Moving on
With a spirit born to run
Ever on
With each rising sun.
To a new day
We go on.
I’m upset they took it away
I miss when Future World was a showcase for future technology and imagination...

OMG. My family too we used to go every year and idc what hotel what park even if I stay for an hour it’s always a joy
The entire fireworks show touches me in more than one ways.
If the shells' casings are landing on you i think you have a case
I'm crying man. I miss illuminations so much
This song makes me cry... I love it... it just gives me motivation to keep my head up... I've been thru a lot of crap over the past 10 years and this song speaks to me on every level of being strong
This is a timeless piece
I am so glad i was able to see Illuminations one last time in September 2019. I only hope its replacement lives up its legacy
So Harmonious debuted today. Had to pay respects to the greatest of all time.
Just pure Epcot :)
With the still soft the night, there comes a time to understand
to reach out and touch tomorrow, take the future in our hand
we can see a new horizon build on our that we have done
and our dreams begin other thousand circles around the sun
we go on, to the joy and through the tears, we go on
to discover new frontiers, moving on with the current time of the year
we go on, moving forward now as one
moving on with the spirit of tomorrow
moving on with the raising sun to a new beginning, go on
we go on ......
close. it's actually "with the stillness of the night" the rest is correct though
With the stillness of the night,
There comes a time to understand,
To reach out and touch tomorrow,
Take the future in our hand.
We can see a new horizon
Built on all that we have done,
And our dreams begin another
Thousand circles 'round the sun.
We go on
To the joy and through the tears.
We go on
To discover new frontiers,
Moving on
With the current of the years.
We go on,
Moving forward now as one,
Moving on
With a spirit born to run,
Ever on
With each rising sun
To a new day,
We go on ......
We go on ......
Goofy181 Minecraft, yes it's "born to run." And that rhymes with one/sun as well.
Wish they had this version on iTunes
I watched this fireworks display last week when my family took me to Epcot and I was just stood there crying
I cry too
+Hannah Harrison It's really hard not to... I've seen it 5 times now and it hits me every time, I can never get enough of it.
You are not alone. I was there over July Fourth week and seeing this made me cry tears of joy
Nice profile picture.
Chris Marcotte thanks!

Merry Christmas 🎅!! To my Mom in Heaven .
I will be singing, always makes me cry, last time for me to experience this amazing song and show, it has always been my favourite at Disney.
So emotional hearing this song!!!
Yeah
same here, I can safely predict there will be ALOT of tears next summer on it's last night, the interim show between it and the new show sounds cool.

This Is so sad...I MISS YOU DISNEYWORLD!!! :((((
me too 😞
Same if you wanna read my despcription scroll up and read the replies on some of the comments
Me three!! I wanna go back!!
Just the thought of going to Epcot in the future and not hearing this song will crush my heart
Im not crying, you are crying

I just left Epcot last night and watching illuminations, brought tears to my eyes and I miss it already.
I got the chance to work in Epcot in 2015 so I heard this song every night, I even have a Epcot themed tattoo and it has “we’ll go on” in it
This album was the first thing Ive remembered since I’ve been in this world. Still get emotional listening to this day and I hope Disney keeps this until I die. Once I go, they can get rid of it XD
Miles Bass I hope they never remove it, it’s being happiness to everyone and brings the magic to the park

I felt like Epcot died a bit when illuminations was removed. RIP to the greatest show ever conceived
Who’s here after the last day of Illuminations???😭😭😭
I will be there on the last day of illuminations. This firework show has been my favorite since it inception.

I love this song so meaningful
Love love love this song! (Although I would have chosen Epcot pics for this collage.)
Love this song!
this song will always be a part of my childhood. Im curious on how "Epcot Forever" is.

lol miss going there T-T the fireworks was the best
This song makes me cry.
I'm gonna miss this show..
feels like I'm going there right now😊
Epcot's believe
This song is fun to listen to when going out of Epcot.

😭 happy memories
Soo gutted they have changed illuminations!!!
Working at the American Adventure, I have like every firework memorized in this show. 🌎 Illuminations> every other Disney show
Ah yes the feeling is returning to me...being dead on your feet and wanting to sleep/sit and all your parents want to do it stand and watch the fireworks xP. Then the battle for the buses ensues, good times...good times lol.
This better be the last song I hear on my death bed
It makes me sad to realize to know that all good things must come to a end but Walt Disney said Disneyland will never be complete and that it will grow forever meaning old things must end in order for better things.
Disney better replace Illuminations with something even better that moves the soul.
Cool
i love this song and show
such an incouraging song !
right in my feels 😢😢

Illuminations will be going away soon. I am very sad.
nice.
This is a great show! :)
Past into the future
this song maybe coming back 2024 or 2025
I will miss Illuminations : Reflections of Earth!
How do I get this song. It’s great.
They should really have released this as a single. Makes no sense we can't purchase it on iTunes etc.
@Fieldsfangirl28 It's Kellie Coffey, if you didn't know. :)
:') same here.
Can I hear this song in Spotify? Has anybody found it?
My band is playing the music from this show
Turtle Hoppa I wish I was in your band
Turtle Hoppa what instrument do you play
If you want an epic ending to something using this part of the part
I understand that illuminations needed to go but I’m so disappointed with Harmonious. How did we go from something like this to what we have today?
Disney really dropped the ball on this one imo.
It's a Pixel led globe that shows Video
Anyone know where i can download this song itunes dosnt seem to have it
If you haven't gotten it yet, you should be able to find a youtube downloader or something. Also, you could find a media converter online to download it with. Just be careful with what you choose, but you should be able to find it. If not, I should be able to get it for you, as I'm going to try to get it myself.
i have a recidel where i have to dance to this song
this was put in after 9-11-2001
No it wasn't. It was in 2000 for the new millennium.
😥😥😥
Epcot just isn't what it used to be
Who is this actually by?
+Jemimah Margo The Walt Disney Company.
Kellie Coffey
Anyone else here listening because of the Bands of America Honorband?
