With the stillness of the night There comes a time to understand To reach out and touch tomorrow Take the future in our hand. We can see a new horizon Built on all that we have done And our dreams begin Another thousand circles 'round the sun. We go on To the joy and through the tears We go on To discover new frontiers Moving on With the current of the years. We go on Moving forward, now as one Moving on With a spirit born to run Ever on With each rising sun. To a new day We go on. We go on.
Makes me cry everytime. I've been going to disney every since I was born I'm now 18. Cant believe this show is gone. 🙁 RIP Illuminations : Refletions of Earth (October 1, 1999; 20 years ago- September 30, 2019) wow this made really sad.
Those chords at 1:40 are spine tingling, all the Disney emotions and nostalgia reflected in one key change ! Would love to hear ths soundtrack played somewhere at the park again.
I believe this was performed by a then-up-and-coming country music singer named Kellie Coffey. At about the same time or a few years later, she had a Top 10 country song called "When You Lie Next To Me," which can be found on RUclips.
I'm watching the video "ABC Atlanta Broadcast New Year's Eve 1999-2000 with Commercials" right now, and just heard the instrumental part of this song used before a commercial break. Guess it was used outside of WDW too.
It is rather unusually strange about me, that the only three things I like about "IllumiNations" are this song sung by Kellie Coffey, the one sung by her afterwards called "Promise", and only the opening narration provided by Disney Legend Jim Cummings, but NOT the closing narration because of the way someone else articulated it! Other than that, I'm not fond of the show, but this part is good.
I have seen these fireworks 12 years in a row. This song always makes me tear up and cry, as I love this show so much.
It's going to change next year
Saw the illuminations parade in April of last year and it was amazing! And I even sing along with the song! I love love love EPCOT!
Although the show is coming to an end but by god the show will always be remembered
With the stillness of the night
There comes a time to understand
To reach out and touch tomorrow
Take the future in our hand.
We can see a new horizon
Built on all that we have done
And our dreams begin
Another thousand circles 'round the sun.
We go on
To the joy and through the tears
We go on
To discover new frontiers
Moving on
With the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward, now as one
Moving on
With a spirit born to run
Ever on
With each rising sun.
To a new day
We go on.
We go on.
Nadzrul Kamal thank u

fun fact: the show was originally planned to be around for 5 years. I'm glad it lasted 15 years longer.
@@disneydanny2 so if it did not last 15 years, then the show would last from (October 1, 1999 ~ September 30, 2004)
Best show ever in Epcot!!
This was the ballad in our marching band show last year. So much fun! What a beautiful song!
