    I have the EF version and plan on keeping it for a long time, only reason I am not going for the RF version is because of external zoom and the thickness of the lens.

    RF version is absolutely not weather sealed. Try it for yourself: shoot in the rain and retract the lens to 70mm. Then extend it - it's got water on it doesn't it? Wipe it off. Retract lens, and extend again. MORE WATER. There's water inside now! NOT weather sealed. The EF version is.

    • @the_daniel_life
      @the_daniel_life  2 года назад

      Are you 100% sure? Why would Canon declare it as water proofed?

      It might be possible that the water can reach that part of the lens, but not its inner guts where the glass and the electronics are, no?

      The reason why i would still prefer my ef mark iii is that 100% weather sealed and accept extenders unlike rf.

    I went with the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS III USM over the newer RF version because of the dramatic price difference. With taxes and shipping included the used EF lens was still half the price of just the RF lens before taxes and shipping. It isn't all a compromise either, since internal zoom is nice.

    I used the mkii 70-200 on my R6 ii. The adapter does add a littl weight and length, but its not the end of the world, when you consider the lens is still so good and can be bought for a very price used.

    • @the_daniel_life
      @the_daniel_life  5 месяцев назад

      It sounds like you're discussing your experience using the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens with your Canon R6 II camera. The RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens is known for its excellent performance, even when adapted to mirrorless cameras like the R6 II using an adapter. While the adapter may add some weight and length to the setup, it's reassuring to hear that it doesn't significantly detract from the overall experience, especially considering the exceptional quality of the lens.
      Additionally, buying the lens used can often offer great value, making it more accessible to photographers who may be on a budget. Despite any minor inconveniences with the adapter, the combination of the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and the R6 II camera likely provides outstanding image quality and versatility for a variety of shooting scenarios.

    Anyways!! Great video sir! The RF 2.8 is really a great one, unfortunately I don't have an EOS R camera.
    Btw, there's a new Sony Camera that was just released. The Sony A7sIII.. I'm not sure why but it's a full frame mirrorless camera.
    According to Sony or what I learned so far
    A7rIII - (2017) R "Resolution" Highest possible picture quality (better for pictures)
    A7III - (2018) I'm not sure yet, but many say that this is better than A7rIII. Maybe both in picture and video. A bit sharper and 4k resolution.
    A7sIII - (2020) S "Sensitivity" range and noise control (better for videos)
    What's in A7sIII:
    $3,500(US) = P150,000-180,000 (Philippines)
    4k 120fps still with auto focus
    1080 240fps still with auto focus
    1st ever flip screen
    1st ever user friendly settings
    No record limit and any record of overheating after a few minutes to an hour or use accdg to reviewers
    10 bit color
    It's so good!! But it's too pricey vs the Canon line up. I think I invested in the Canon because the lenses are much cheaper than the Sony's. Would love to learn more on Sony and maybe they also have great cheaper lenses like the Canon's.
    Anyways! Really appreciate your dedication in filming! ^_^ Keep it up sir!

    Das EF kann man ja mit 2fach konverter verwenden und das RF nicht. Ein großer Punkt der das EF interessanter macht.
    Jetzt ist nur die Frage ob das EF ein kompromiss ist, wenn es um Autofokus und Bildqualität geht.
    Ansich hoffe ich auf ein 70200er, dass einen 2 Fach Konverter option anbietet. Das 100500er kann einen 2x verwenden. zwar nicht komplett im geringen brennweiten bereich aber schon.

      @@the_daniel_life Lenses are very similar and you can find differences only on completely identical frames. (I am more concerned about the blurry of the background)

    Ngl bro this comparison is pretty bad. Most of the time the comparison shots dont show clearly EF or RF, The comparison videos are different clips, the stabilization is different clips, its just overall a bad comparison video and hard to follow.. and obviously a lens thats been converted to a new system will have slower auto focus than a native lens.. I mean.. sorry just a waste of time to watch.

      Hi, verlasse dich nicht auf die Rente sage ich da nur. Du bist deines Glückes Schmied. In jedem von uns steckt ein Supertalent. Du kannst dir in deinem Rentenalter noch einen Porsche holen. Vertraue auf dich selbst, erkenne deine Stärken, verkaufe deine Fähigkeiten und leiste dir was auch immer dir einen Wert gibt. Daniel

    Good on ya, great to hear an Australian female be proud of there flag and country. We have all become to lazy and someone else will fix it attitude. It’s time to bring back the Australian spirit, flying your flag high on this soil, walk with head up not in a phone or the ground, say g’day or even nod and someone needs a hand, just do it and expect nothing. All on taking responsibility for our actions. We let it go and it will never return.. (pricks need a good kick in the arse and so much energy,I’m sure high vis jumpsuits and rubbish sticks every weekend). With a nice sign letting locals know who and why they’re cleaning up, the country they live inn. I believe after serving my country in Australian Army, now a veteran pensioner. I can give my opinion and how weak to pick on a single female at night.. stay strong 🫡🇦🇺🪖

    I hate zoom that extend. Looks so cheap. Internal zooming or prime for me. In my experience internal zooming last WAY longer and are more rugged
