Stefan Witkowski-Baker I don’t know how is it gonna be ones Adrian retired for Elvis man those two are like glue Elvis is going to be really sad I can bet that
He is unique in every way. What's best about, Adrian...he brings out that same silliness in the people around him. The guy emanates a personality, that others gravitate to. He'll make a great manager one day, too.
when it comes to becoming a manager in most cases you'd see this happen to former catchers Bob Melvin, Joe Girardi, David Ross, Kevin Cash, Brad Ausmus, A.J Hinch, and Gabe Kapler were all catchers it makes sense, since catchers call plays nearly as frequently, on top of what sequence of pitches their battery mate should go with to approach specific hitters, Yogi Berra who was a catcher turned manager said it best "Baseball is 90% mental" and catcher is the most demanding of all positions in this facet among players today I could see Yadier Molina, Martin Maldonado, Wilson Contreras, JT Realmuto, Kyle Higashioka, and Yasmani Grandal make for impressive managers, but I think that the best three candidates for that after their careers are finished are Buster Posey, Jeff Mathis, and ESPECIALLY Salvador Perez(who's been doing a far better job at leading the Royals than Mike Matheny) among retired players I think Russel Martin would be a nice candidate, it would also be nice to see Brian McCann ditch the stench of his brief but scandalous time in Houston, but I would KILL to see a team managed by Ivan Rodruiguez, especially a Rangers team helmed by the son of MLB All-Star Al Leiter, Jack
I grew up in Los Angeles as a big Dodgers fan and I remember when he was a rookie. Then I moved to Fort Worth and watched him every day at the Ballpark in Arlington and on local TV. He loved playing the game and he had fun doing it and he's a first ballot HOF, no doubt about that.
Braixen he was actually known as a moody guy outside of his Texas years. Had some issues with both Dodgers and Mariners, and was criticized for having questionable relationship with Ichiro as well (although Ichiro is also known for having a weird personality). He REALLY rejuvenated his career in Texas. Both in actual baseball value and persona wise. If I tell someone 10 years ago that he would be a first ballot hall of famer, and a beloved team captain, nobody would believe it. He was overpaid, massively underachieved in his Seattle years, and had personality conflict with not only few organizations but also star players. It’s great to see someone having this kind of redemption, especially late in his career. He matured a lot, and is unanimously beloved by virtually every fan in baseball.
Braixen someone said in an interview or just an announcer (idk when I watch a lot of rangers games) at some point that he used to care too much or try too hard and he didn’t enjoy his playing, but now he actually tries to have fun
I remember getting his rookie card. Even as a kid I was thinking this guy is going to be around for a while. Glad to say I got to see his whole career. Can't wait to see his hall of fame induction percentage.
It's the only way to maintain power after getting a little fooled on an offspeed pitch, otherwise you'd be out in front and swinging with your arms. Most of the power in a swing comes from the hips rotating into a straight front leg with basically no weight on the back leg, but if you start too early you're likely to bend that front knee and lose all that torque. By keeping it straight that extra split second you're able to still transfer that power to the bat through your core and arms, but the consequence is that you lose your balance and fall onto your back knee right after contact. Beltre was the first guy I ever saw doing this and now you see it a lot more because it makes a ton of sense. The science of hitting is a very interesting topic and I implore everyone interested in baseball to look into it. You'll soon find that most of the stuff your coaches taught you was complete bs, and even most pros have no idea what is really happening - they're just that good.
First ballot Hall of Famer and a guy who truly loves the game. Great example for kids who want to be major leaguers one day. Also one of the best third basemen to play the game but his biggest save was probably keeping Bautista's dumbass from hitting the turf after Odor knocked his jaw loose that one time.
Fun fact: Beltre has over 3,000 hits, but most of them are for him hitting Elvis Andrus for touching his head.
DON'T touch Adrian Beltre's head!
Stefan Witkowski-Baker I don’t know how is it gonna be ones Adrian retired for Elvis man those two are like glue Elvis is going to be really sad I can bet that
He gets into HOF, that's for sure. But they are going to have to put his bust under glass, for everyone is going to be touching it!
I don't care who your favorite team is. If you don't love Adrian Beltre, you don't love baseball. Period.
Christopher Scala facts
Beltre is a dirtbag
Boo-Yeah!! fuck you douchebag beltre is one of the most respected players in in baseball , someones just a little salty
true
Beltre is my favorite mlb player and I'm a Brewers fan
His HOF speech is going to be hilarious.
I could imagine.
He's gonna use a muppet to speak
SupremeWallaby He'll have Andrus speak for him lmao
This man just loves the game. You don't find many players that enjoy doing what they do as much as Adrian enjoys the game!
Beltre is like that really, really cool uncle you have that can make anything fun and you wait all year round to see himXD
Plays the game hard and manages to have some fun too.
noirlander So... It's supposed to NOT be fun?
Remember him being ejected for moving the batter's circle idk what its called
It's great to see a ball player who has fun. Most forget that it is a game.
Now he’s retired, favorite player I ever watched
new York city
You left out moving the on deck circle, along with running away from third base in Houston
That's because MLB knows that he shouldn't have been thrown out of that game for a joke. Joe West was being a pansy that day and couldn't take a joke.
ZebThe3rd When isn’t Joe West acting like a panzy?
DestoryerDain when he gets hit with a foul ball then flex’s afterwards
automan224 That is true
He is unique in every way. What's best about, Adrian...he brings out that same silliness in the people around him. The guy emanates a personality, that others gravitate to. He'll make a great manager one day, too.
Beltre will be a manager i think a year or two maybe three after he retires
BEN PLAYSS Now that would be interesting
i have come from the future. he has not.
when it comes to becoming a manager
in most cases you'd see this happen to former catchers

This is part of the reason why baseball if by far and away my favorite sport. Grown men can still act young
What a great human been this guy is...soooo humble...may God bless him forever!!!
Beltre is the type of person we need back in baseball

My goodness, if I had one wish it would be for Adrian to play forever 😂😂😂😂😂😂
As an Angel fan, I've always had respect for Beltre. HOF'er in my book.
I wish I got to see him play everyday. Crazy how long the list of 2018 retired players is getting. Lots of legends from my childhood.
Beltre and manny ramirez are not only great players but enjoys the game and make the game fun to watch and play
This is how baseball players should be. Always having fun and just enjoy themselves
Próximo dominicano en el salón de la fama 🇩🇴
Quietly one of the best players in the league the last decade and a half. Hall of fame numbers for sure I just hope they don't forget about him
Beltre's just so funny in Texas. What about Seattle? Boston? Or LA Dodgers?
Braixen he was actually known as a moody guy outside of his Texas years. I remember getting his rookie card. Even as a kid I was thinking this guy is going to be around for a while. Glad to say I got to see his whole career. Can't wait to see his hall of fame induction percentage.
3:46 was absolutely CRUSHED

Love this guy!
MLB needs more players like Adrian 😂
By far one of if not The funniest guy who ever played baseball.
First ballot HOFer and played the game relaxed. Youth never left Beltre on the diamond.
How tf do you hit a homer on a knee like that???

Because he's Adrian Beltre
Another amazing player without WS ring. As a Red Sox fan I would like to say thank you Adrian.
Gonna miss Beltre so much
7:45 “One thing about Beltre is I think he enjoys the game.” I felt dumb just hearing that.
I think he meant didn’t lose the love for the game beltré. A lot of people lose the love they have for things when it becomes a job.
BELTRE RESTORES MY FAITH IN HUMANITY.
Or something like that.
This too funny player will be a hall of famer.
チャンライ・ライン first ballot
LOVED BELTRE
Good to see that not all professional athletes are insecure children!
Thank you for the laughs Adrian!!!
What a great guy
I just wish my Dodgers could have kept him. Love that guy.
As a astros fan Beltre is a hilarious dude. No doubt one of the biggest goofs in baseball.

LOL, Beltre's a riot!
People forget his pre-Texas days. He became a completely different person.
That’s how sports should be, FUN.

This dude is legit funny.
Definitivamente somos los mejores en béisbol

Nice guy
Its such a shame Beltre was never in the HRD, imagine the hype those one knee homers would get in that situation

Was Beltre only funny when he played on the rangers?
The part when beltré was using signs how does he know those signs
2:29 Joey Gallo's face lol
who in the world will give thumbs down to this video?
He could have 500 homeruns along with 3000 hits when his career is over
I absolutely hate the rangers. As you can tell I’m a blue jays fan..
but I like Beltre
what had happened at 2:24?
That was another player reacting to Beltres homerun on one knees
