He really is one of the all time greats. His humor he had on the field, just how cool he was with everyone. His stats alone are HOF material, add in how awesome he was personality wise. First Ballot for sure.
Remember there was zero humor in that man before Texas. All at his highlights, most of his goofing off, everything we love about him that was shown publicly, was done on the Texas rangers. In Los Angeles he was on the Roids... Got off of them when he was in Seattle and had his numbers dropped dramatically, got to Texas and became a fundamental pure hitter and awesome defender. He was a 260 to 270 hitter with every other team until 2010. And then all of a sudden he was hitting over 300 all the time.
The game won’t be the same without him. Beltre represented the true joy of baseball in how he played and how he carried himself. First ballot HoF all the way!
An absolute legend. His friendship with Felix Hernandez was so damn entertaining and wholesome. Beltre was such a class act to show up personally to congratulate him when he was elected into Seattle's Hall of Fame. You know Felix will return the favor when Beltre gets the call to Cooperstown.
@@DjDobleU809 Jose Ramirez took less amount of money from Cleveland just to stay on the team, if he opted for free agency he would have around 50 million more than his current contratct. Still is not for free but that tells you that some players just don't care about money only but also to feel conftable and be in good place for them to play their game.
I've got my Texas flag at half staff, what a sad day for MLB. Wish more young players would follow his example on how to be a class act, enjoy the game and have fun! HOF 1st round!!!
I played tee-ball with his son. Adrian would come to the games and practices to support his son. One time he was next to my mom and my mom asked if he could sign my glove. I now have an autographed Adrian Beltre glove :)

I'm not usually a person to say someone "played the game the right way" but Beltre did just that. He had the numbers to be a hall of famer regardless if he was a curmudgeonly little dude, but he he's surefire in my book for just having all the fun he did on the field. Hats off to you Adrian, you're an inspiration to all the guys who want to make their job the most fun thing they've done in their life. I look forward to your speech in Cooperstown.

How can anyone dislike Adrian?? I mean common. Impossible. Most likeable and hilarious dude ever in baseball. Just imagine how much his nieces and nephews love their uncle?? Family gatherings must be a cheek and tummy buster from laughing so much🤣😂💀😭
A great player, a Hall of Famer..the stats and defense bear it out, and his status as an all-timer is cemented. Some players go there whole careers without providing any memorable moments, but this guy has a few from each season. The on deck circle move will be replayed on baseball highlight reels from now til the end of time. Respect to AB and enjoy your well earned retirement- from a huge baseball fan, thanks for the memories.
Damn I used to know Adrian Beltre and his family a long time ago when I was little. I had no idea he stopped playing baseball. I can’t think of his sons name right now and I’d probably have to ask my dad what it is but I have 2 very fond memories of them that I’ll think of whenever I hear his name. 1. I remember when he got our whole little league team into a baseball game with box seats and a gift basket that had a towel that I still use and a baseball that has some signatures from the Rangers. 2. I remember one time I was talking with his son after a game and we had just gotten ice cream from one of those old ice cream trucks that has cartoon characters as the different types of ice cream and he mentioned that his dad doesn’t like to get touched on the head. I may have some way I can contact them and just say hi and see what’s up. Guess that’ll be something I have to look into.
As a Yankee fan Beltre ain't no joke and hilarious cause the head touching, messing with Elvis Andrus and Felix Hernandez. And of course his 3000 hits. So that's why I like about Beltre
1 clip is missing from this: From a few seasons ago where he went to a knee and spun around swinging through a pitch, and then the next pitch hit a home run going to a knee again
His fun loving personality and his longevity in baseball will work in his favor (along with the awards he picked up along the way) when his name comes up on the Hall of Fame ballot. If not his first year of eligibility, then his second.
One of my favorite players of all time and so far the most entertaining to watch. He just loves the game and playing it. It's like watching a kid play a game that they live, except the "kid" is a full grown man with over 3100 hits and nearly 500 homers. Easy first ballot Hall of Famer and honestly should be unanimous entry first year eligible. It doesn't hurt that he plays my favorite position on the field and is one of the best ever there. An argument can be made that he's overall the best 3rd basemen to ever play...given how good he was on both sides.
I'm from red sox nation but I gotta say he made watching baseball fun and he sure loved the game and I say all teams enjoyed his infectious attitude thank you adrian beltre
I miss him already. And by the way, those of you who aren't familiar, just to give you some context: 1. He HATES it when guys touch his head 10:40 2. He and Felix Hernandez are best friends 1:17
The guy hit 48 home runs with the dodgers in '04. He then signed that big contract with Seattle the year after but he was a mediocre at best for 5 years. He basically rejuvenated his career when he signed with the Red Sox in 2010. Since then, he became one of the best all around hitters in baseball. As a Sox fan, what could've been had they resigned Beltre after his 2010 MVP caliber season. 🤔 Happy Retirement! 1st ballot HOF WORTHY
I remember back in 04 I snuck a poster board sign I made in Dodgers stadium that said “MVP Beltre” he didn’t win the MVP but man he made me proud of being a Dodgers fan and sad he left… that being said sneaking in the sign wrapped around my thigh under my jeans and walking to the second pavilion, and hiding it till one of the last innings really left red marks and paper cuts my thigh but it was worth it! Being a teenager and having everyone around me cheer and hype me up while I wave a homemade MVP Beltre sign was insane! Dude was and still is a fan favorite despite him being retired!
Statistically Adrian is a top 5 3B all time and he doesn't get enough credit. He is also one of the coolest, down to Earth, fan favorite players of all time. Once in a lifetime
We Had Him in L.A and we were so furious when management let him go!! Any who this dude really love ⚾ Beltran and Cabrera had the best fun all the time 😂❤
All of these highlights are the reason he's going to the Hall of Fame with a rangers cap on. It was only in his years with the Texas rangers that he was truly happy. He really let loose in Texas. He had his highest batting average, best defense, most All Star selections, and greatest impact on the Texas rangers. Plus he is one of the very few players to get better overall after he stopped taking steroids. In 2003 and 2004 with the dodgers he experimented with them. After he stopped, his home run numbers dropped, but his batting average and defense skyrocketed.
