This was such a great idea. I like the locking hinges the best. Great example of true DYI skills. I will do this to my JK using those locking hinges you recommend. Great video. Thanks!!
Great idea...only thing l could think to ad is rounding off the edges a bit....would give it a more "cutting board" look and save your forearms from the inevitable.
Wow this is a great DIY project, may I ask how many weight the table supports?..thinking the hinges are mounted at the tailgate and not at the wall as intended...
I used self-tapping screws into the tailgate, and standard short wood screws into the table. I trimmed the wood a couple times, but I can go measure the final dimensions tomorrow
Pretty cool, nice to see creative thinking not requiring a lot of money, THX!
The first guy i see on YT some i smart thinking about install a tailgate table in the right high

I think I found my weekend project! Thanks for the idea!
Right on! Let me know how it turns out!
Ok, I'm inspired. Ordered the latches, they will be here tomorrow. Got to get some self tapping screws!

The best idea for a folding table I've seen!!!
Thanks! It works great!
Awesome take on a tailgate table. I built one couple years back but it folds up and using magnets to hold it. I might have to change it up now lol.
Very cool
So Awesome, I ordered the hinges and can’t wait to build my table. Thank you for the great idea for this .
No problem! We have been using ours for a while now and enjoy the heck out of it!
These DIY projects need to have a rattle test at the end to see how loud these projects can get and include any possible rattle fixes.
Well, this one doesn’t rattle at all…even a couple years later!😎
That's brilliant! May I ask what size the self-tapping screws were?
Awesome

Good idea!
You know, a cutting board might actually be a good place to start for one of these. Then, there could be minimal cutting and routing in the project.
It appears that you used 14" folding table brackets?

I’ve had the Coleman stove, 5 gallon propane tank, cooler etc on it so it’s pretty sturdy!
Where can you buy the hinges ?? TIA
The link is in the description!
Do you have video of your drawer build? I can't seem to find it!?
Unfortunately I didn’t make a video of the build. There are progress pics on our Instagram account.
@Bold Canyon Outdoors awe dang! Looks good!I don't have that insta thing though lol
Did you use the screws that came with the folding arm kit and what size piece of wood did you start with?
I used self-tapping screws into the tailgate, and standard short wood screws into the table. I trimmed the wood a couple times, but I can go measure the final dimensions tomorrow
@@BoldCanyonOutdoors no worries. I got it. Waiting to stain but got it up. Will send a pic when done. Thanks so much!
Awesome! Does it rattle when you drive
Not at all!
