Yes I would use! Its perfect and no need to spend $300 bucks when you can do this! Thanks

Nice job. I would put the jump cord in the middle, that way it would fold down inside easier than having to tuck it in ever time. The trim would also support the pulling force over a grater area.

I love neodymium magnets! I think that adding the other jump cord is a great idea just for that extra support in case someone in the family gets any ideas of putting something large on there... say a chicken!! Yet another great video from Hiker J!

Why is the single jump cord on the Right side? Wouldn't it be better on the Left side so you have access to the useable side in camp

This is awesome! You said "pop" instead of soda, and I immediately looked at your license plate 😂

NICE! Hopefully this build becomes a series. At least an overview. I've been watching a lot of overlanding videos and im interested in starting it.

Wish I would have seen this video before I spent $300 on a table. I wish mine used the magnets. Oh well the table I bought is pretty awesome and the best one I’ve seen. Great job!

I need to build one but to put a stove on it, but i worry about fire hazard.. im trying to find a no drill solution. Yours only require to drill the plastic cover which is acceptable.. however too small to fit a dual camping stove unless you add an extension board. Thinking how i can make one single board .. maybe if i add a spacer on the piano hinge to match the plastic trim thickness once the board is closed.

The spacer idea seems like it would work a treat. Additionally, for a no-drill solution, I've used screws with spring toggles to fasten hinge on which go through the 'vent' looking things near the bottom of the tailgate.
