The rear end conversion is gonna look dynamic...Pity you adamant on cutting up those fresh chrome bumpers...As far as Conner goes if he plans to live along life he needs to be more P.P.E conscious as the toxins from fillers and paint will surely make paperweight of this respiratory system in no time...My humblest opinion
In high school, a guy put 61 Cadillac tailfins on a vw beetle . Pretty cool , called it the orgasmatro! Your build reminded me of it. Greetings from OREGON
I’m 81 and I have always loved those taillights. I remember them when they first came out. I’m thinking they’re from a Lincoln but it’s been a long time. Oh I see, that’s a Packard Clipper! I just remembered the taillight 🤪
Strangely different and nice car im sure I haven't seen one of these here in Australia, should make a great project, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
FYI: Those tail lights you removed aren't the only Oldsmobile parts on the car. From 49-54, Olds and Chevy had the same windshield opening but Chevys were 2-piece and Olds was 1-piece. Those Packard tail lights would also look awesome on a 55-57 Chevy.
If it was a two door, a convertible or a pillarless hard top, I would agree that restoration would be cool, but it's a four door, a taxi if you will. [Taxi's have four doors] so it can serve quite nicely as as donor. The tail lights are hyper cool & scream '60's era custom. The thing with me is that I am very fond of uncommon or rare V8 engines from the 1950's & '60's. I run a '57 Dodge Hemi myself. If this car has a rebuildable V8 engine in it, I would call it a candidate for the Custom Chev for its quirky coolness alone.
Somewhere a 57 Packard lover had a terrible feeling deep in their gut and wasn't sure why.😂 Really though gonna look great Im sure. Even though I didnt hate the Olds lights. Just didnt care for how the roll pan I guess you'd call it looked. Headed for greatness now though!
OK, you need to flip them lights upside down and mom's low on the back of the thunder as possible. So it looked like thefender dragged and stretched them out as it were all around the road
Do not ruin that beautiful & valuable rear bumper. Use a rear bumper from a 56 Chevy. It should be about the right width & it has the wrap around ends to work with the Packard lights.
That Packard dash would look cool in the '53. "Non-stock"... Are you gonna run skirts? I've got a set of '59 Chevys you can have. Whatcha gonna do with the trunk lid?
So we are going to try and sell the Packard and just us the extra parts on the chevy to start with. If it don't sell then we might look into cutting the dash out. That would be cool! I do think we are going to try and run skirts. I would happily accept your skirts and see if I could make them work on the 53. If not I'm sure I would use them at some point!
So you’re cuttiup a super rare packard to customize an ultra common 53 Chevy🤦♂️ it’s not 1960 anymore, being a part of the Studebaker/packard club this saddens me.

Sweet what you are doing. Those tail lights will really set this car apart from the rest. Great job man.
Thanks!
@@HardCoreFab No problem. I sent a text to you.
Way to go Conner! You showed the old guys how to open the glove box.
Conner should have put MONEY on it.

I just love to watch your channel and see your vision
That is going to be an awesome ride Anthony!
Yes it is!
Lights will look good. You should build the Packard next.
The tail lights are about the only part of that car I like LOL
@@HardCoreFab It does look abit uncool, lol.

Awesome. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Those are what was called Dagmars. There was a model that had a body like Jayne Mansfield. Her last name was Dagmar I believe.
Car is looking more badass as you go. 😅
Remove the body line and make your own caps on the fender.

Packard tail lights have been done often.
I have now seen a couple others. Oh well still going to be sweet!
Should do a major top chop on the Packard lol
Lol

Make the videos longer please showing lots of the work that goes into building a custom car.
Great ideas!

I think those original rear lights would have looked better horizontal instead of vertical.
custom is custom. going to look awes
I should’ve waited to comment I guess. Glad you’re not cutting up the car😁
The car is for sale now if you know anyone looking

It sucks to cut on that nice of a bumper but to get the fit and finish we are going for it's going to have to be a Packard bumper
Anthony, a classic hot rod in progress, buying parts to fit and selling the rest on. Are you going to have time to finish the truck for the contest?
Oh yeah! There are more videos in the works for the C50!
This video would not pass shop safety standards....but the project is coming along.
LOL story of my life!
At least a Packard-Baker is good for something.
Very nice!

Follow the body line up the car.
I can't believe you're going to destroy one of the last Packard made
I sure hope you sell off the remaining good parts to a Studebaker/packard collector that needs them
Restored a pair of those taillights easily sell for $1,500!
Yeah kinda crazy
😎👍💯,,👋Julie
Dont think I've ever been this early to a video. SECOND
LOL
Dude...use the body line
To late! LOL
think they hit you with the same stick !
Is that the ugly stick? LOL
cool stuff 🖕💯

What a waste of perfect packard car parts.
You sound like the kind of guy that would like to buy a bunch of packard parts. Boy, do I have a deal for you!
FIRST
LOL
Dude wear a mask…
It’s cool to be a man , but you may have to pay for that later I know……!😳
I'm not sure what we are talking about?
