Because there are a lot of people commenting telling me that I should've used pipes to make the song longer, I started extending the song that way but I still wouldn't have been able to finish off the song even with the extra items in the sub-level. Also I didn't want a 5 second break in the song while I transitioned through the pipe, so I would've just edited it out which kinda makes it no different from just creating it in a different course.
Music is hard in super Mario maker. Currently trying to make one. But I have yet to finish it. If I'll be able to finish it, I'll post it, but in the mean time, I have no code for you
Adding semi-solid platforms directly above the note blocks will result in whatever you drop onto the blocks being caught, so you won't have to listen to items or enemys being destroyed with an audible "POOF."
Is no one else going to point out that edit of him placing the game down and picking up the switch really fast at the beginning of the video? Very clean.
I did try that originally, but then I figured I'd just reach the item limit after making the first 8 bars of the song, so I'd still have to split up the last 4 bars into another course.
Imagine you can make your own songs without even making it on the stage so then I'll be added to the sound effects list and then you can place it on Mario so your music will play during the stage

you can put a lot music block in track to fall in a bigger track to be all alined so you can hit all the note with only one enemie, with this you can overcome the enemie limit or do music without even need a auto scroller whatsoever.
That’s a very very interesting chord progression! I like it! 👍 C# major with a piece in C minor! It’s very different and I think a lot of people who create music *cough cough* *mainstream pop artists* should learn from this and strain from a plain I IV V progression! Great job👍
Try making music with Org Maker 2, the second version of the music program that made the music for Cave Story. I could probably be hard for you, who are used to actual instrument samples and actually being able to make chords with the same instrument without messing with the instruments, but it could be fun.
I can't believe I didn't know that you could place music into Mario, all this time I've been trying to find a way to have him hit multiple triggers that aren't that spread out to keep the song going. Thanks for showing me this!
If you get overlap with the hard blocks sideways, delete them and just put the notes directly next to each other, they will both just go to clouds above anyway
You can place the note blocks on tracks at the height you want it, drop it at on piece of track and trigger an entire repeating baseline with less mushrooms than your setup. Just a recommendation.
I remember making a track with "Mario Paint" on the Super Nintendo, even had the little mouse for it! Then recorded it into my Tascam 414 4-track, along with my red sound "Darkstar"🎹 synthesizer

can you advise me how to get sound on my new Alesis V25(MIDI Controller)? i have plugged in my USB cable to my PC but i don't have any sound? make a beat using random presets. can you give me some tips?
Can somebody help me? Everytime I try to make music in Super Mario Maker 2, The background music is so annoying it's distracting and I can't focus on what volume the music block is. I'm planning on making a Pokemon Music Level. 😫
Go to the effect menu and select the "mute" sound effect, its icon is a dog with something on his mouth, cant remember what it is, then drag that effect on mario and the level will be mute
I honestly don't know what I am doing differently but when Mario walks over the music block it never makes that steel drum sound, just the standard 'spring' sound, no matter where they are placed. Also, I cannot place the silent mode on Mario, it doesn't accept it. I have to put it on the ground every few blocks because it only remains quiet for half a screen...
