It all depends lol I personally don't care, they're dolls and kids interpret them as they wish. If I was gifted them as a kid I'd probably play with them as if they were a couple

Here's the odd thing about this, I HONESTLY think it's Tommy Bupp singing as Andy in the short, and I've always believed this (just like he does Andy's talking voice for it), HOWEVER, some sources say that Bernie Fleisher, (one of the Fleischer brother's sons) did the singing and everything for Andy. (Some sources say it was him, including an article of him getting interviewed about it), but some sources say Tommy did everything for Andy. I'm not entirely sure if it was either one of them because sources go back and forth with this, but I always believed Tommy did EVERYTHING voicing Andy for this short.

Chuck Jones' specials enstablished them as brother and sister so does "Raggedy Ann & Andy: a Musical Adventure". But here again they never say they're brother and sister therefore if there is any "romantic love" here it's no incest.

The short video 1941 well i guess they kinda like couples when raggedy ann said andy "A freind" and she kiss him on cheek like sweet man who help her then year 1977 movie of raggedy ann and andy musical adventure they change words of raggedy ann not to call him a freind that they change it into like "this is my brother andy" even andy call her "my sister"
Andy may be tempted, but I look at this in that he does love his sister, wants her to know he's not completely hopeless. Sentimental, yes, but it works.

In fact, one of the stories, "How Raggedy Andy Came", says that Raggedy Andy was created by a different person than was Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Ann and Andy don't seem to see each other as anything other than life long friends. In the stories, Raggedy Ann was made by Marcella's great grandmother for Marcella's grandmother and that Marcella's grandmother's neighbor's mother made her daughter the Andy doll.
It depends on the iteration, sometimes they’re siblings, sometimes they’re portrayed like this. That’s a pretty dangerous mix up to have if you ask me though-
