This is part eight of my engine build. The goal is to create a running V-Twin Lifan engine, inspired by Allen millyards ss100 V-Twin builds. I want to use as many standard parts as possible to make the build as easy as possible and reduce the number of parts I need to make.

If you need a small boring bar, you can grind one from a piece of high speed steel pretty easily if you have a bench grinder. You got around it fine with your mill, but it's a quick low cost option to have.

not a bad idea. It probably wouldn’t hurt to stock up on some high speed steel for making some small boring bars and form tools.

why would they lie regarding displacement? Is there a rule banning big bore cylinder manufacturing in China?

In New Zealand all mopeds must be under 50cc in displacement, no one pulls them apart to check. Other countries probably have similar laws.

@@OddsandEndsMachining 😂 ….. or it could be they simply re-sleeve a ‘stock’ casting and make no effort to reidentify.
