As a pc gamer, here are my critiques on the gaming laptops: Laptop 1: bad GPU that you can’t find for even desktops. Laptop 2: 13th gen CPU will break within 3 months unless you get the BIOS update (if its even available for the laptop) Laptop 3: ditto to laptop 2. Yes, those are powerful CPUs, but when those Intel chips are 65 volts or more, they will break due to the coding error on the motherboards. Also, I would recommend gaming desktops because they are upgradable, rather than parts being soldered to the motherboard, and they are easier to clean.
you got all your facts wrong mate. For starters laptop 2 has i7 not i9 which is affected series and that too laptop cpus are not affected only K series desktop cpus are the ones
@ I don’t understand your run-on sentence. And yes, I do know what I’m talking about. I’ve done extensive research on the 13th and 14th gen Intel chips, because I was thinking of buying a whole new gaming pc after I thought mine broke (turns out the old case had short circuited, so everything is still good). Every Intel CPU from the 13th and 14th gen that required a minimum of 65 watts of power was succumbing to its own destruction as each little cell in them was being destroyed. It’s from the motherboards, so that’s why BIOS/UEFI updates were required for fixing this issue. At the time of my original comment, back in early September, Intel was just starting to finally get this issue addressed. After my months of research, no, I will not buy any Intel CPUs from their 13th gen onward (including Arrow Lake) because of those instability issues. As new CPUs come out, I’ll be sticking with the company that isn’t losing its stock and labor force from the lack of sales. My Ryzen 7 5700X3D is awesome, and I’m not upgrading for the next several years because of its power.
4060 is close to the desktop gpu. There are Ryzen 7 CPUs that are great on notebooks (better than intel in terms of power magagement) + you can get some of these for like 900 with 144hz IPS screen. So even cheaper. It depends for what you need it. There are tests out and the 4060 is close to the desktop performance. And if you just want to game a base PS5 is the way. Esspecially if you already have a Notebook or other device.
In Europe, you will have to pay over 1000 euros if you want the console incl. the disc drive and the vertical stand. And for what? For the 22 PS5 exclusives from which half of them are remakes? I have a normal PS5 and the only Games I installed are also available on the PS4. They just removed the biggest plus point for Consoles, which is that it is a cheaper way to enjoy brand-new games. I hope this Console fails miserably and other Companys learn from this.
I love my 2022 Asus Tuf Dash f15 (I bought it for $999 when new, so you can probably pick up a used one for $800 max) It can do everything a flagship 9 gen console can do, and it can also do everything a MacBook Pro can do
Do NOT get a low end gaming laptop, the best you will get out of the thing is 1 or 2 years MAYBE. Simply put just build a desktop unless you don't have the space. Also laptop GPUs and CPUs are downgraded versions of their desktop counterparts with the same name.
This guy is crazy you cannot get a computer for $500 that’s as good as a PS five for gaming it’s impossible I know about computers and 47 I’ve been messing with computers and I work at a computer store it’s impossible you cannot get a laptop or a gaming PC for $500 that is get his PS five surpassed
@@Majorpain32677 its possible but NOT brand new, I have a PC that I build way back in 2013, the only thing that's upgraded on it is the GPU, its a 5820k with 16gb ram and a GTX 970 upgraded to a RTX 2070. You will never be able to do it brand new though.
Not true for the 4050 and 4060. The 4060 is the same or just about in a desktop and laptop as long as you buy like a 100w version. They can play anything out rn and they have dlss 3.0 which is a massive fps boost in those demanding single player titles. Also the 40 series don't struggle with overheating and run very efficiently meaning it extends their lifespan. Seen 4060 laptops for 600 bucks used and 800 bucks on sale normal prices going around 1k with a modern ryzen 7 or i7 13th gen and up. Those chips are very close to desktop performance so gaming wise they'll hold up say 3-5 years and just use wise longer. If you are a student or plan on doing anything except gaming these 40 series laptops are a great deal.
@Da-iken no consoles do not render in native lol. It's just upscaled 1080p to 4k. They upscale 1080 to hit 4k 30fps then they add low latency frame gen (which you can now use on pc too) it doubles or quadruples your simulated fps. You won't notice ti though on a console in terms of feel as they have soooo much more input lag as a baseline due to the controller. It's kinda like enabling frame gen and a bunch of dlss in pc but playing on a 4-6ms response time monitor. You won't notice it. The gpu in the ps5 is about equal to än rx 6700 and the ps5 pro is about a 3070ti with 16gb vram. It's the vram that lets them upscale and produce the "4k image at baseline 30 sometimes 60 fps then frame genned to 120". So it's a "4k image" but not native 4k lol. The same way a mod can add 4k textures. It's still not native 4k lol. Dlss quality on the other hand is native 4k rendered in 1440p aka half the pixels but AI goes in and ads the pixels that you skip rendering so the image appears the same res as native.
How can you say the PS five pro is insane price when it’s only $200 more than the PS five which for $500 the PS five there’s no way you’re gonna find a laptop or desktop that can play games without the graphics as a PS five for $500
Interesting topic, but I'd have to agree. I'd say just around 8 years ago I always believed that PC was not worth getting into because of the expenses (This is usually every console player of todays excuse) but this is most certainly not a good reason when you think deep into It. When the PS5 first dropped It was being priced at 500$ which is already expensive enough as it is, but console players still went on their way to buy that even though they could've saved a few hundred more dollars for a solid PC. When I saved up for my 900$ PC, I actually ended up realizing I was saving money as opposed to buying a 500$ PS5. Let's do the math. • The PS5 at the time was being sold for 500$ • Just to even play online for 5+ years is worth 300$ at bare minimum with PS Plus • Just 3 full priced fresh games from the PS5 will total up to 210$ which is the price of a nice graphics card. All of that is just basic necessities now imagine buying the pro instead. You're practically spending doubled the price you'd be spending on PC for a lesser experience in the long-run, I mean heck. The PS5 may have good hardware for running videogames, but the PS5 has many limitations a PC does not. On PC you have advantages on getting games for cheap, you can emulate, and even mod which some games play better with mods. You can work on your PC, you can get a college degree on PC. PC is just overall less expensive option for a better experience. There is even more games on PC. Console gaming today has become a robbery.
I have a Nitro 5 RTX 3050 gaming Laptop cost me $760 had for 3 years played all my games on max settling like ghost of tsushima, Cyberpunk 2077. My laptop that I can take anywhere and connect to my TV! Is cheaper more powerful than the ps5 pro.
