The spined deer with all the panic follow up misses can definitely empty the quiver…I can tell you two stories from experience 😂, other than that almost never need 6 arrows. Your extra broad heads with the sheaths to carry is genius for carbon or aluminum arrows. You could probably do the same with woodies and glue on broad heads but it is a lot more difficult. You would need a lighter, glue etc, doable but not as quick as screwing on a broad head. I like 5 woodies and judo in my creekwalker style quiver I built myself(used selway hood and 6 arrow gripper, made piece of wood myself similar to how Donny does it, not nearly as nice as his though). Do you like how your arrows are more stable after shooting? I love that about that style of bow quiver while using with a longbow and attaching it to short fades so it does not change how it shoots.

That is very true. I have emptied my quiver following up a spine shot as well. Even had to climb down and pick up an arrow to finsh the job once. I do love how solid this quiver is. Didnt know what I was missing until I got it.

I carry 5 broadhead arrows and a judo. I also carry a broadhead to replace the judo. I've killed 3 critters at the same sit 4 times. Each time I also had a miss or a spine shot requiring another arrows.

Perfect. And I also always carry a broadhead in my pack to replace the judo if need. Actually now carrying 2 extra broadheads in my pack in kydex shealths.

What if you brought four arrows and shot all of them at the biggest buck of your life, and you missed, all four times? Asking for a friend...

😂 tell you friend, hes not alone I (i mean my friend) may or may not of done the same thing once.

@@SamkoTradBow Hehee. We need to stop having those kind of friends.... Sadly, the buck was still within range and just slowly walked off. Like a 5th arrow would have made the difference for me.... Silver lining. I had him on an old trail cam. He was a 130 class 8 pointer. When I saw him live, he had completely broken off his G2 on one side which was about 13 long! Sour grapes.

I usually run 4 broadheads and a small game head. Then I bring 6 additional arrows in the truck. With 2 broadheads and 3 small game heads in my pack.
I am pretty limited in my tags but I have tagged out on Grouse and small game on hunts more often than successful on Elk / Bear/ Deer.

Grat tip about carrying extra arrows in the truck. I do the same. Have a quiver full of 5 broadheads and a judo in the truck.

3 broad heads and 1 blunt for deer hunting. As many as the quiver will hold if small game hunting with blunts.

I carry six, i like as much mass on my bow as i am comfortable with. I may get one of those Gun Shy 8-arrow quivers at some point.

More arrows the better. And gunshy makes great quivers

In the GN quiver 3x broadheads on the outside, 2x thumper inside, one of them is a fluflu and spare broadheads in my pack. I love to have a flu with me ❤

Been there. More than once actually 😂 buck fever, target panic, etc. They are very powerful things. I once refused to take a shot at indoor shoot because panic hit me so bad I was afraid if I blew it and dumped my bow arm I could put thw arrow theu a window and into the street where cars were stacked up and people walking.
