I have been listening to Jackson Browne since my 20s. I am now 70 and his songs still can bring me to tears. Different song, different reasons through the years. Thank you Jackson.
Same here, a young 73. Timeless, powerful, insightful music done well by an absolutely great musician and live performer. Every time I see him I get a little choked up before the first song, thinking how great it is to be in the presents of one of the finest. His songs are our songs. We've lived through a lot together.
.....I know what you mean, ....just makes me smile "Dr My Eyes" it's the first one that reminds me of summer and shaking my head and saying "now what" to the world in general and a few individuals lol, .....we can love to much to a fault and ruin it .....that song makes me smile, I'm learning the rest of his songs you have to have a Heart to appreciate these songs just as he Jackson Brown has a awesome heart, yes
I’ve been listening to Jackson Browne for nearly 50 years. His music always puts me in a better place. Now as I enter the twilight of my life, battling stage 4 cancer, I can say his music is on of the things that keeps me going.
When i read these comments ... At the age of 63 ... People who feel this music the same way I do ... Even though his songs get me emotional ... It makes me happy inside ... I feel I belong to the human race again. Thank you people.
Per Glen Frey, of the Eagles, Jackson Browne taught him how to write songs. (a la Take It Easy). Apparently Frey lived in the same apartment building as Browne and Frey could hear him write, practice, etc.... He asked Browne to show him his method. That is what I heard.....
i will agree w/ you on this one, of course Bob Dylan is my # 1 of ALL TIMES EVER, anybody who can put together well over 6 decades of some most touching, moving music across all music GENRES, & win a Noble Peace Prize...has to be doing something RIGHT, JUS' SAYIN'
I can't imagine he is really cognizant of the impact he and his music have had on so many peeps. Hopefully he feels the love and enjoyment, but on a larger scale, I don't know if it could be measured.
A 17 year old student of mine said I HAD to listen to an amazing artist he'd discovered - Jackson Browne! 40 years between us and we both feel the magic. Speaks volumes.
My daughter said something similar! I bought some CDs and a boom box for a road trip, and had her hooked on Jackson by 5 yrs old! She turns 34 this month, and still loves him... she said two yrs ago, I love that we love the Same taste in music, one of the greatest things she's ever said to me ! I had a Starbucks CD- Haight Ashbury to Sunset Strip I said pull out the black & white swirly one and put it on when I was driving thru the Rockies on our way to Newport beach with her kids late at night a few yrs back, during Box of Rain she says what are we listening to? , she loves that 60s n 70s sound! So the next year I took her to see Little Feat and Dead and Company ! She Rocks!
@@planetclaire820boulder8 A very special mother and daughter duo. Great story. (and by the way I am a 74 year old folkie who loves Little Feat and Jackson.)
This performance has that kind of easy yet sophisticated swagger that only the greats achieve on stage. The balance between the musicians has a natural ebb and flow, the feel is natural and utterly relaxed, and is perfect. You can hear everything clearly and in context, every single note, breath, nuance...you can hear the beautiful tone of the drums, the light percolating percussion. It’s a perfect take that would fit appropriately on a studio compilation, and they do it show after show. I like the mood lighting on stage, no bells or whistles to distract the listener’s attention from their ears. You can always recognize that a master musician is on deck because the audience is absolutely silent while he sings and plays his tunes. Their reverence for his talent is obvious. They realize that they’re experiencing something special that can’t be had anywhere else. I love that music is a force of nature and affects people as strongly as gravity or sunlight. The frequencies coming off the stage vibrate into the bones. Artists like Jackson Browne are able to deliver that level of primal contact.
Thank you so much for having the ability to write down without writing off the written page on a tangent exactly how I feel about Jackson and performers as such of that acronym of that you know Jackson is inimitable!!! I can write, my Profs @ Brandeis were a Godsend but the only single parent commuting from wish to walk in as it comparative literature concentrator they were godsend for all the students and I was accomplishment major so I can write but I'm just a little bit not ready for prime time I'm not combobulated yet so thank you for writing that I agree with you wholeheartedly very well said ❤️ Barbara Anne 🙋💕🎼
... he is the totally rare human being who Truly Does "Walk the walk",,,, we love you, Jackson Browne, and the World is a better place due to your bottomless well of Spirit... mahalo nui
I’m so sorry 😢 Cancer is so HARSH! I just did a three year recovery. Keep positive. And strong. I’m 74 years now. I believe that you keep the music and sounds of life even after we are gone.☮️ Been a J Brown fan for over fifty years. He is a great man and a gift to us all 🙏
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Jackson Browne is one of the all-time, greatest singer / songwriter / composer / humanitarian / social issues advocate / extremely talented / humble superstar. Absolutely a delight, Jackson's lyrics are the best, period. His song compositional skills are, in a single word, mind boggling. Jackson, thank you for your many decades of incredible music ‼️‼️‼️👍👍❤️❤️❤️🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖👏👏👏
This guy was 17 years old when he wrote the song These Days, with the line “Please don’t confront me with my failures, I ...had not forgotten them”, can you imagine? His songs are always my go-to when I feel a certain sadness
Jackson Browne was my first concert in 1980. I was 12. My best friend and I rode our 10-speeds down to the box office the morning tickets went on sale and scored 8th row floor seats. He played an almost 3-hour set with no opening act and barely a break. Blew me away. Still sounds just as good.
My third concert, also rode bikes to get tickets in 1980. Garden State Arts Center in New Jersey. Had the green "Hold Out" tshirt for years. Never will forget it.
That is so cool! He’s had my heart also, since I was 19 years old! 💖 His first album from my brother was the best Christmas gift ever. My little five month old baby boy and I had no entertainment except that album. I always loved the cover with a canteen. It was stollen about ten years later, and that saddens me.
I was 14 when I saw him 1980. Saw him the other night after many years....his voice is even more soulful, beautiful and layered. His melodic poetry takes me right back to that place. James Taylor was on stage to sing The Pretender with him....it was Nirvana.
I have spent my entire day, listening to Jackson Browne. One of my best days lately, enjoying the Poet, Activist, and Genius of American music. Fifty years of immense talent. Thank you.
genius of World Music, tbh... esp. activism for justice in Latin America, learning *their* music and political struggles, adding some California hippie style or country twang, marching to a No Nukes tune, challenging himself and his audience, having a few brews, argue, hug it out, then they shut up and dance. And slowly, America comes around to the Jackson Way (and James Taylor way, and social gospel, and Joni Mitchell, and CSN, and Bob Dylan, and Woody Guthrie, and generally kinder, gentler way of thinking and acting).
...and you can't help agreeing with his songs the lyrics so automatically we are singing with the song so many great songs one starts up and I say to myself is this my favorite? I enjoy all of them, thanks to my friend for saying "Jackson Browne" when I asked him who he listens to that's how cool he is haha now I'm cool
Without adult supervision tonight…. So, playing Browne a little louder tonight. Jackson has always had superb traveling musical geniuses but….., in this Denver Paramount show, my feelings are this is one of his best. Every time I watch & listen I’m upset I didn’t take time to see this show. At any rate…. thank you Sir.
"Now there`s a world of illusion and fantasy, in the place where the real world belongs. Still I look for the beauty in songs " Jackson has always tried to make this a better world to live in. Always. And for everyone. We are blessed to have him.
100% agree with you! Always for better world until .... in those days just listening his music and give me hope that all this it’s gonna be gone soon! I live in a country where we are clean with this awful 😢 pandemic but always worried for the world and my family! 💝💖🙏🙏🙏 beautiful soul my lovely Jackson Browne! 🇺🇸🥰🎉❤️
I've commented before but can't say it enough. Yes, simply put...we are so very blessed to have this sage amongst us, this genius, delivering his messages to this world, and pray he can continue to do so for many years . So this time all i can day is chime in with "AMEN!" and hope he will be able to bring us more and more beauty, (though melancholy it often is)
Brilliance personified. Jackson in great voice, backed up by a dream band of musicians. No flashing lights, no silly dance moves, just honest-to-goodness music.
@@greghawkman U sound irritated. I take it that you are not aware that what you do not like in others is what you do no like in yourself. This is a good time to look at yourself and figure out why you dislike this behavior in yourself.. I hear a hurt from expectations not happening when you met an idol of yours. Why you are still so hurt. that you think these messages are for Jackson. When I give feedback after I see someone on RUclips I am sharing with the viewers and other commenters. The fans of artists like Jackson Brown are part of my circle of relations. We share something intimate in our love ove this music.
Jackson Browne was been a fixture in my life since 16. Thanks to my brother who was in college and I would go visit him in Austin. Jackson and Joni Mitchell became permanent. Now almost 66 he just can take you back or reach in your soul and write something all these years that connects to current life position. There are a lot of amazing artist out there seeing him embrace the next generations shows his humanity and open heart. All of our generation were not selfish not like we are portrayed.. We are blessed to have musicians fill our souls. We all remember Ready or Not. We know he has had his hard times that change you. But his understanding of our need for love and a human touch shows how we all seek it. Some truly find it. I have 2 siblings I have watched have that soulmate. One at 50 years the other 37 years. We all deserve a soulmate. We are all flawed but I believe Jackson sings a lot about giving grace. Our generation don't google everyone. Like all people that but their selfs out there they don't deserve to stop being human. I love we embrace what he sends out to the universe. He doesn't hit my city often. But I will see him again. That bucket list. Thanks Jackson for soothing souls and human spirits. Sharing true human desires, needs or flaws whatever one pulls from his music. Bless you Jackson!
when he put out "Late for the sky", I was helping the Iranian students that were marching against the 'Shaw and being called home to be put in prison, With "running on empty" I was helping Central Americans get to Canada by being a safe house on the way. My house mate had to sleep elsewhere so if I got busted I had a lawyer write up a legal document letting him raise my daughter. With "Lives in the balance", I was helping out the El Salvadorians and Hondurans get past the border and stayed after school (ESL teacher in Dallas) to help with the paper work on Bush's amnesty ...so Jackson Browne has been with me for a while....Thanks for inspiring me
I would play Jackson Browne loudly as I was getting ready to go out at the weekend❤❤❤ The WHOLE neighbourhood would know I was lucky I grew up an old with him. Lovely.
He is magic...always has been. And after all these decades, still great, even better. How does he do it? I remember seeing him in his early 20s, just a kid. We grew up together! Only he got better and better and better.
What else is there to say? His songs are the soundtrack of my life. Started listening to him as a 15yo in 1978. I distinctly remember one day (sometime around 1982) while waiting on the East Broadway platform for the F train on the NYCT Subway System, a man in his thirties was singing and playing "Our Lady of the Well" on his acoustic guitar. By then I was a huge JB fan, bought all his albums and knew all his songs. I said to the man, "Hey, you're singing JB's "Our Lady of the Well""....the man smiled and appeared impressed that I knew the song he was singing. He must have though to himself, "wow! a young Chinese (I'm Chinese-American) kid knows the title/artist of the song I'm singing?". I was equally impressed that he would sing such a song in the bowels of the NYC subway system. One can never assume one's taste in music, especially from a boy growing up on the streets of the lower east side of Manhattan. I took my wife of 22 years to see JB at the Beacon Theater on 6/18/18. All of JB songs are beautifully crafted and timeless....
Nice tribute, Kenster. My introduction came in the late sixties upon hearing "Rock Me on the Water" and "Doctor My Eyes." And I saw that Linda Rondstadt and The Eagles were covering his songs. Saturate Before Using and Late for the Sky were my favorite albums and still are. It has to do with a certain coming of age. I was born in '56. But I still discover early stuff of his that I'd never known existed. "These Days," for example, such a beautiful song, is one I heard for the first time on RUclips several years ago in a video of a concert at the Hollywood Bowl or Greek Theater in So Cal.
JB guided a lot of us through our "coming of age" years. I still listen to Late for the Sky and love it more and more. I turned onto JB at 18, 1972 with Doctor My Eyes. Same era, Neil Young Heart of Gold. Beauiful season of my life.
Going to see Jackson Browne live is an amazing experience. You feel like he is having a conversation with you while playing music that you love and want to hear. He is always near perfection but shrugs off any mistakes with a self-deprecating comment and laugh. Jackson Browne's music has spoken to me for over 40 years. Whenever I listen to him sing, I feel like I've spent time with an old friend who understands me. I love you, Jackson. Thank you for being such an important part of my life, crying and laughing with me through life's sorrows and joys.
God Bless our children, the light in your eyes says it all to me. Thank you for your inspiration. Your valour is left untarnessed in my eyes. And you and your music will live in my heart forever. Christine.
Thanks for your consistent love and support towards me on my page, I really appreciate and can’t thank you enough. Write me with the address above so we can have more positive conversations about music and life in general 🥂💙
* An absolutely phenomenal concert. Top - notch musicians and vocalists. No weak link whatsoever. Jackson is a perfectionist when it comes to music. I'm 66 years of age, and have been listening to Jackson since he started. I've loved many amazing bands, but I love Jackson Browne more than ever, and can say unequivocally he's the greatest singer - songwriter - musician of ALL TIME !!! Who else agrees with me ? _
At 60ish I grew up on the best music Ever! There were Many Rock Gods, but Jackson had the unique ability to reach through your heart and touch your soul. He's a great poet in addition to being a Rock Legend.
I am 29 years old. My mom got through her divorce from my dad with I'm Alive and many other songs by Jackson Browne. She would play his albums on the stereo on the weekends when I was young, and I'm so thankful to have been exposed to such wonderful music as a kid. Many are sharing this talking about how they've been listening to him since they were young, when he was also young. I'm happy to say I'll be listening to him 30-40 years from now as one of my favorite artists as well. We're all Pretenders
I first started listening to Jackson in 1972 when I read an essay David Crosby wrote about young songwriters. Ran out and grabbed Saturate Before Using. And was hooked from the moment I heard Doctor my eyes Ben a fan ever since. The man is timeless. He's an American treasure.Let the music keep our spirits high!!!!!
Tonight, this song came on and the tears wont stop. I have been a Widow for over 4 years now and it only gets harder with time. Loneliness is a horrible life to live
🌻The loneliness got me watching this tonight (3/6/23 12:32am.) Jackson can pull me back around a bit. We have lived in the best of times, and nobody can take that away from us. "Let the music keep our spirits high"
@Linda S Dawson, l am so sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat, l lost my husband 23 years ago 😢 Time is a great healer, l hope you will find comfort in your situation. Stay strong
Jackson Browne is a miracle. His music has been part of my life for 50 years. His life in song has almost exactly paralleled my own. I could not love this man more. Thank you, Jackson, for the way you have grounded me over and over throughout my life.
Wonderful that you have experienced his music 🎶 as I have you your words are powerful. Let's share this evening with his honesty to friends and family so his poerty can be shared to turn our world in a better direction. The power of thought . Thanks to utube for saving history ❤
"Let the music keep our spirits high." Most profound and meaningful body of music ever produced since 1972. So honored to have seen him in concert over the last 5 decades. His voice and his messages remain True. As Ever. Thank you so much Jackson for sharing your divine talent and for changing so many worlds!
I first heard Jackson Browne in the early 70's. It was late night/early morning. He was live on a small local radio station (KUSC) that broadcast from the USC campus in SoCal. I remember listening and thinking, "Man, I don't know who this guy is but his music is fantastic." 50 years later this guy's music is still fantastic.
Over 50 years of listening to Jackson...class act, writer and singer...such a conscientious writer that I have had the pleasure of keeping me on the straight and narrow...every Christmas since somewhere in the 90's I put his dvd on...just love it😊😊😊
Jackson Browne is one of the very few musicians who rarely, IF EVER, fills time in his songs with lalalalal's and yeah yeah yeah...etc. It's all lyrics. Thank you Jackson Browne for all your fabulous music.
Extraordinary songwriter, singer, performer…no one has the ability through his songs to bring you back to the exact places you were and what was going in your life when you hear his songs… he’s been touching my heart and Soul for 50 years… To put it simply yet profoundly, Jackson has written the soundtrack of my life…🙏🙏🙏
I have loved Jackson’s music since my childhood and with every early album through the 70s. Finally after his long hiatus from the public I heard Jackson and Tom Petty were coming to Concord CA in late summer in 20??. Returning home from a trip with little hope of finding a ticket, my cousin’s husband got me a comp roadie ticket. With some trepidation at temps approaching 100 degrees in mid afternoon, I went down to the front row with NO ONE else in their concrete stadium seat early before the show, and GOD blessed me when Mr. B down walked nervously to his piano at stage center to warm up for one of his first live performances in over a decade and played his incredible repertoire of early music solo on piano. I was no more than 15 to 20 feet away in disbelief and exhilaration. Baking in the late afternoon sun, I was astonished in knowing how lucky I was and that there truly is a God in heaven when I heard Jackson Browne and saw his beautiful humanity and musical gifts to us all that blistering hot day. Needless to say I stayed in that front row for the entire show.Thank you Jackson for sharing your painful losses and victories to overcome all of lives tribulations and heartaches from which we all suffer and need to rebuild. Peace to those with such a heart who feel so deep. And deepest gratitude to the man who allows us to see the beauty of it all.
😃 I was just now looking at an old scrapbook that had concert tickets taped on a page. Jackson Brown toured with Tom Petty in 2002 😁 I took my daughter to that concert. While waiting for the concert to start my daughter went outside for a smoke, when she came back she said she saw this really ugly woman dancing with another lady. On the way back inside she figured out why everyone was staring at them- that was no ugly woman, it was Tom Petty 😁
We have much music taste & awe in common, except for my missing live concerts of both JB & TP so far away from you guys: my only consolation is singing in a Tom Petty tribute band here in Oz
I forgot that this was a whole concert. Jackson Browne is not only a great instrumentalists and instrumental composer but also a really feeling lyricist. This is a good show.
I fell in love with Jackson Browne & his music since I first heard Running On Empty. Here I am now at 75 and still listening to his piano or guitar and that soulful voice. And I’m still in love! Keep on with your awesomeness Jackson!!

I'm back again. My life has not gone anything like my parents expected, but they were the ones who took us children to musicals and such. They introduced us to the wonder of theater bands and Orchestras tuning up before their performance. I believe to this day that it is what led me to dive into psychedelic rock and folk music. Looking for the beauty in the song and the music, as JB sings, became a passion. I know that Jackson Brown offers wisdom and feeling and poetry in his offerings. He is one of the things that we can depend on in this crazy world. Covid-19 has really been hard. Thank you, Jackson for offering a helping hand when I am in need!

When I listen to Jackson Browne sing something moves within me. A time ago. A long road traveled. Dreams and realities merging. Sorrows and small victories. Looking forward to attending live music in the future to feel these feelings again. Stay safe everyone.
My daughter and I are road tripping to Memphis on Aug. 14th to see JB and JT together. I'm 74 and this will be my 4th JB concert ~ hopefully not my last.

Met Mr. Browne after a concert in Columbia, SC. Got to tell him my story and that me and my son danced to his song The Only Child at Brian's wedding. Five years later he passed away so that memory is golden. Jackson was so kind and consoling. His music does that to me every night. Love him.
I've been in love with Jackson Browne since the 70's. So much of the shit I was dealing with as a young teen his songs have comforted me, calmed me etc. This artist never failed me. Thank you Jackson Browne & God Bless you.

I happen to think the line before that is even more, for lack of a better word, "superb"; "...And while the future's there for anyone to change, still you know it seems, it's easier sometimes to change the past..."
Does anyone out there know a true, authentic, " MASTERPIECE " when witnessing and listening to one ?? If there were anything remotely resembling a " PERFECT ", concert/show, with everything in it's totality giving witness, ie., sound, lighting, ambience, audience, integrity, a lasting memory for those who attended and/or viewed it via video, I venture to say, this most definitely meets the criteria. I was just wondering.......who, and who doesn't agree with this assessment.
I'm not as eloquent as many who have already praised Jackson. Like so many - as I wander now into my elder years - I have followed him since the release of his first album and have never wavered in my amazement of his incredible talent. He is able to express in such a way that it touches the hearts and souls of those who listen carefully. As I write this I Am A Child just began and I had to stop to just listen to this timeless classic - which I imagine might be one of those he plays less often. I saw Nickel Creek maybe 20 years or so ago - and it is such a treat to see Sean and Sara play with Jackson. I could go on and on but y'all already know what I mean. Not to be maudlin - I'm just hoping I get to see him at least once more before one of us is no longer able to be present. Thank you Jackson for being the major part of the soundtrack of my life. Be well y'all - May God bless you
So many great comments from people who for once agree on something together! And that’s what music has the potential to do! And thank god music exists for our hearts and souls! I know it’s what gets me through! And Jackson Brown is a musical savior! Thank you sir! 🎶
met a girl on a beach in Puerto Vallarta in Feb. '74, a very dear Vicky (or Vicki) Piscopo ..then of Long Isl, NY).. who turned me onto Jackson, and a couple of Yrs later, to my dismay.. mailed me The Pretender (8 track); among the sweetest gifts of my life. And to this day, I never hear JB.. without thinking of her. - God bless you "Vic", Jackson, and all
I'm still fascinated by you. You create a deep empathy with those who can hear you in their hearts. Because of your work, many of us aren't quite as alone as we might otherwise be. You are my older angel looking over my shoulder and singing the paradise and pain we all know is there. When you sing to us, we're connected, less lonely as we stand in the light, however harsh or the darkness, however dense. Thank you for your constancy, your lovely persistence. We need you.
Terrific - is this published as a song or poem? You said what I feel, also. We have not met, JB and me, but how can this man be so important to me and not be a dear friend? Thank you for sharing, Anthony Lee.
Jackson, thank you!! I went to Troy when you were at Sunny Hills! But I didn't know that. 15 years later I dated a man who played with you. Last year I had surgery so my daughter came to help from CO. We were in the car and she turned on a whole playlist of you. She knew I loved you. We hadn't talked about you at all. But I AM SURE that she remembered that: once when my youngest and I were driving to see she and my first grandchild Colorado, were just about out of gas and still in Utah, and late as usual. 'Running on Empty' came on the radio. I cried, happy tears. My son, (who has since Gone Home & a musician himself) and I, rolled down the windows and sang along at the top of our lungs. I just didn't worry...I felt assured.....we made it down the hill to Green River, got gas and went on to see my NOW 21 yr-old grandson. That's no accident. Your work, your soul, your heart, your beauty are all about that. My favorites were 'the Pretender', 'Late for the Sky', 'Doctor My Eyes'.... 'Rock Me on the Water', because I love Jesus. Thank you for being you. God Bless You immensely, and Merry Christmas!!
I'm just a daydreamer here at 55. My heart still alive. I've ran on empty a few times down the road. Like most roads, none are the same, however, they lead you to unexpected places. I seldom to look at the rear view mirror, only if I have to. Sometimes it takes a glance behind you to know where you came from but at the same time, distracts you of whats ahead. I am sitting here reading your story appreciating of what you have to say. Indeed, Mr. Browne has given us some reflection of our youth with admiration. I totally love his music and it's serves as beacon of my past that brought me home safely many times.
Hi 🌺 Thanks for your love and support, for liking and commenting on my page and I want you to know I have all my fans in heart and that includes you. Jacksonbrowne98@gmail.com
I happened on this song last year at this time and it seems interesting to be here again one year later on January 2, 2023. The world is not only shaky right now, it's a bit crazy as well. When I heard Jackson Browne start singing this song, I got a little choked up. And, what I wrote last year still applies: as I listen I feel closer to God, Good, Peace, Harmony, Balance, Joy, Compassion, Wisdom, Understanding, Courage, Comfort, Security, Safety, Happiness and KNOW that all these things will prevail in our world. I still know they will because God and his Music will always prevail and keep flowing through us all. God Bless You All out there this winter's night!
You are so right Linda..God’s good works will prevail because of all the GOOD or GREAT people in the world like Jackson Browne & I just have to believe that there are more good people in this world than there are bad people!! We just have to keep remembering to stay focused on this fact in order to keep our despair away!!!😊
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Linda B. - Extremely eloquent praise to an amazing man. Born in 1958, I can assure you, you're most correct. The world has indeed gone crazy, especially in this nation. History repeats itself, and just as no one could conquer the Roman Empire, and they crumbled from within, so goes the United States of America. Insane gun violence, unspeakable crimes, mental illness on every corner. Then, we have one of the industrialized world's worst drug problems. Over 100,000 Americans dying every single year, mostly fentanyl, yet plenty of people succumb to crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and the like. We must turn to Almighty God, and the One Who died in our place, the Lord Jesus Christ. May God bountifully bless you Linda. ✝️👍👍❤️❤️
Jackson Brown, Solo acoustic, 2008..Santa Cruz, CA- Civic Auditorium...Just staying thankful folks!! 🙌 Thanks for posting..2018. was great tour 2012.. it's now 2023..
....my old lover, years ago was a quiet guy, and I asked him who is your favorite artist (he plays guitar a pro) and he said Jackson Brown ....so I pay closer attention to all these songs and feel ...well grateful 💛🌾🙏🏼🏞️🤗
I am an Indian woman and my lover brought me to you. I am normally not a lister of English songs. He shared this video with the pin on "I'll Do Anything", and I feel so touched and moved and grateful. Loving your songs, hearing them for the first time.
Every night i have trouble sleeping, I play this concert...... At first it kept me wide awake. Now it sends me off to beauty filled dreaming. God bless Jackson. Any wonder your so loved and admired. Such a beautiful soul.....
I’m a young person, I have been listening to Jackson’s music for 21 years. Late For the Sky, was my first album that I listened to at 6 years old. But, Take It Easy was my first Jackson Browne song that I learned on my guitar at 6 years old. I’ve always loved that he always stands for what he believes in whether it’s political/environmental activism. My new favorite songs by him: are my Cleveland Heart and Downhill From Everywhere. Thank you, Jackson for your beautiful music all these years!
He made my heart and soul so full! I just knew he was singing to me. Please do not change my fantasy he knows how to swell a a heart. I adore the man he is! Jackson you are a man that fills a woman's heart completely; Forever Greatful!
Jackson Browne melodies are pure genius and his lyrics at times are heart-wrenching and always authentic feeling. I just love his music, its timeless. I can listen any day, year or decade.
With the exception of his first touring band, (Russ, Danny, Leland, David, ect) this is the best line up! I love his drummer. Val is just amazing! Unfortunately Val wasn't in the line up when I saw him last year. Great show. I was just looking forward to seeing Val.
San Francisco Bay Area all my life(58) and what a great ride its been!! The Good Lord could not have put me in a better time and place... the best part, it gets better with age, it really does..just like the music...ALL of it...the difficult times and misery seem to have faded into obscurity, they dont feel so hard now...dont know if i coulda made it without the music...PEACE AND LOVE WE WILL GET PAST THESE TIMES ,TOO...just remember what JB said , "Oh, people, look among you It's there your hope must lie"
Some people are born with certain gifts. He was born to entertain people of all ages to enjoy superb music, written and sung by one of the most brilliant all-round musicians ever. Congratulations Jackson. People will still be playing your music for generations to come. Basically sums up the situation. MAGNIFICENT! Added to the fact, that he co wrote Take It Easy also his versatility. He would have been very young then as well. 👍😁🤣🍺

Reading thru these comments and realizing how profoundly his music has touched so many throughout their lives, myself included for over 50 years, I am forever grateful to have lived in this generation. There’s not another like him.
This was the most wonderful concert I have ever watched on RUclips! Everything about it was...perfection. I bought my first Jackson Browne albums when I was in college (in the 1970's), and I have been a fan ever since!
From the first time I bought Saturate before Using - in the -25 degree weather of Calgary in ‘73 , Jackson Browne wrote us postcards from his life, on the road a million postcards that became part of mine. There is still nobody like him, coming up on 50 years later
I love as only 14 when we saw Jackson at the Omni inAtlanta Ga. I would play his albums over and over! I really wanted to spend my life with him! Sounds crazy but I was totally in love with him although I was very young! I guess if I had the choice I would still love him and be with him!!! He was Ausome I the Omni in Atlanta!!! I was just a girl but he was my Man and ge had ALL the answers to all my questions and All my Prayers!!!! Wish I could have really known him other than in song and the Omni n Atlanta and of course My Stereo!!! What a life that would have been!!! Incredible!!! I miss the days that I dreamed of my happenings all depended on being with Jackson ! I truly believed that I would be with him! What a loss for us both! He said s a treasure I Of my youth and drill in i this day!!! If they really made men like him anymore !!!
There is something so straightforward and calm about Jackson's music. It's like we see him walking on his path and we decide to join him -- maybe because it is fall and the sun is beautiful -- with colors surrounding us like a painting. I always feel like the world looks elevated when I see through his eyes.
"The seasons change and the music carries us along" not to some desolate place like a glimpse into the artifact of Trumps bestial eyebrows rescued by thick thrashing cascades of orange dyed camel hair carefully shaved from the actual genitals of a beast of burden(camel) and dry welded into his scalp like Rita Hayworth's face if she wore a moustache
‼️‼️‼️ Jackson Browne is........in fact, .......a National Treasure. There are NONE, better at songwriting, and connecting with the audience. In short......Mr. Jackson Browne is, and I mean this most seriously, a musical genius. ‼️‼️‼️
I lose faith day by day in this world, but not in you. 💯🎸🎼🎶❤️Thanks for this concert and thanks for the beautiful song I'II Do Anything. I don't know English, it was hard for me to translate, but I did it! 👏👏👏💜❤️❤️❤️
I graduated high school in 1972! I fell in love with your music that summer! I have my 50th class reunion this Saturday! You have been like a dear friend these last 50 years! Your music made me cry, smile and filled my heart with love and hope! Thanks for the music and memories! Much love and respect Jackson Browne!!❤
🌾🙏🏽🏞️⛰️🙏🏽☀️☀️ I love this concert selection today 2/26/2022! If only they understood it might be a language issue or a heart issue or a mind issue or a lack of Love issue, "some people build walls others open doors" ...it's nice that neighboring Country is letting the Ukraine people in, they are waiting something like 48hrs in the cold with their children beside them and one lady had her puppies, the music they are trying to interrupt but the beautiful songs are in our hearts forever songs to understand fortify get strong, I study the Bible I'm thankful to my Mom for showing us, and greatful for the men who honestly kept on the watch then comfort us Thank You! 💛🙏🏽🏞️🙏🏽☀️🌾🙏🏽⛰️
I have been listening to Jackson Browne since my 20s. I am now 70 and his songs still can bring me to tears. Different song, different reasons through the years. Thank you Jackson.
Me too. A very long journey and Jackson's music helped me through the darkest times. Thank you Jackson
Same here, a young 73. Timeless, powerful, insightful music done well by an absolutely great musician and live performer. Every time I see him I get a little choked up before the first song, thinking how great it is to be in the presents of one of the finest. His songs are our songs. We've lived through a lot together.

One of the best songwriters to ever manifest on this planet
I think he is the very best songwriter I’ve ever heard!
No doubt.
I feel at peace when listening to jackson....thanks for all the great years of music growing up in the 70s. Still listening in 2023!
I hope Jackson knows how much we all love and appreciate him for his gift of music!
Hello Susie.

None of us is.
I had a Starbucks CD- Haight Ashbury to Sunset Strip
I said pull out the black & white swirly one and put it on when I was driving thru the Rockies on our way to Newport beach with her kids late at night a few yrs back, during Box of Rain she says what are we listening to? , she loves that 60s n 70s sound!
So the next year I took her to see Little Feat and Dead and Company ! She Rocks!

On his 2023 tour Jackson has been playing “Sky Blue and Black” virtually every night. I think it’s his most gut wrenching and powerful song.
Yeah for sure and A Song for Adam

Where was this, Chris?
@@ShunyamNiketana UD Arena, Dayton, Ohio.
One of my best days lately, enjoying the Poet, Activist,
and Genius of American music. Fifty years of immense talent.
Thank you.
I agree, JB is great, love the storytelling he always adds. See, its okay. He saw it on the television.
genius of World Music, tbh... esp. activism for justice in Latin America, learning *their* music and political struggles, adding some California hippie style or country twang, marching to a No Nukes tune, challenging himself and his audience, having a few brews, argue, hug it out, then they shut up and dance.

With "Lives in the balance", I was helping out the El Salvadorians and Hondurans get past the border and stayed after school (ESL teacher in Dallas) to help with the paper work on Bush's amnesty ...so Jackson Browne has been with me for a while....Thanks for inspiring me
I would play Jackson Browne loudly as I was getting ready to go out at the weekend❤❤❤ The WHOLE neighbourhood would know

I saw him early 70s, I was just a kid. amazing he must be an immortal. he's fantastic, love him
What else is there to say?
Totally agree, have been listening to and following him for over 30 years
Nice tribute, Kenster.

Yes! The soundtrack of my life!❤
I have loved Jackson’s music since my childhood and with every early album through the 70s.
@@Lorinidaho HAHAHA
I forgot that this was a whole concert. Jackson Browne is not only a great instrumentalists and instrumental composer but also a really feeling lyricist. This is a good show.
I fell in love with Jackson Browne & his music since I first heard Running On Empty. Here I am now at 75 and still listening to his piano or guitar and that soulful voice. And I’m still in love! Keep on with your awesomeness
Jackson!!
For me, as a teen, it was "These Days" and "The Pretender". Stopped me in my tracks. Still does.
Thanks for your consistent love and support towards me on my page, I really appreciate and can’t thank you enough. Write me with the address above so we can have more positive conversations about music and life in general 🥂💙
me too - love Jackson

It's not always our fault. Think about our lives growing up in dysfunctional homes. ❤❤
Its amazing when a person is born to sing! - what a gift to the world.
When I listen to Jackson Browne sing something moves within me. A time ago. A long road traveled. Dreams and realities merging. Sorrows and small victories.
Looking forward to attending live music in the future to feel these feelings again. Stay safe everyone.
A true American treasure, Jackson Browne !
May I add "a true treasure of the whole world"?
I feel my life is complete when I’m able to see Jackson Browne in concert
Oh men I'll be watching him this coming October with JT.

Met Mr. Browne after a concert in Columbia, SC. Got to tell him my story and that me and my son danced to his song The Only Child at Brian's wedding. Five years later he passed away so that
memory is golden. Jackson was so kind and consoling. His music does that to me every night. Love him.
Sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss.
I am so glad that he could help comfort in just a small way. That means so much.
I'm sorry..
Bless your heart. Your boy...he still dances with you in the spirit world. I can see his smile....
I've been in love with Jackson Browne since the 70's. So much of the shit I was dealing with as a young teen his songs have comforted me, calmed me etc. This artist never failed me. Thank you Jackson Browne & God Bless you.

“I’m just one or two years and a couple of changes behind you in my lessons at love’s pain and heartache school.” What a superb lyricist!
I happen to think the line before that is even more, for lack of a better word, "superb";
"...And while the future's there for anyone to change, still you know it seems, it's easier sometimes to change the past..."
Have to agree incredible
You said that perfectly
Amen. 👍👍
met a girl on a beach in Puerto Vallarta in Feb.
So very true!
Beautiful comment. God bless you. ❤❤❤
One of those rare, rare singer/composers whose heart and truth shine through in their songs. Thank-You Jackson for being an Inspiration.
For You Jackson:
Song for Jackson
~
I’ve got dust on my boots
I’ve got tears in my eyes
I’ve lost too many friends
I have said
Too many good-byes
Now there’s a reason
For my swagger
For my seeming
Care-free attitude
For I am
Past that point of age
Where I have
More to gain
Than I have to lose
I’ve got rust on my fender
I’ve got
A heart full of sighs
I’ve lost too many lovers
I have heard
Too many good-byes
Now there’s a reason
For my laughter
For looking
Upward to the stars
For I am
Blessed beyond all riches
To have you
As a friend
To have you
In my heart
I’ve got a spinning compass
I’ve got
A notebook full of songs
I’ve known to many
Sleepless nights
Missing those now gone
There’s good reason
For my laughter
For dwelling
On the stars
For I am
Blessed in abundance
To have you
As a friend
To have you
In my heart
~

Terrific - is this published as a song or poem? You said what I feel, also. We have not met, JB and me, but how can this man be so important to me and not be a dear friend? Thank you for sharing, Anthony Lee.
Amazing lyrics. Thank you.

The reason I picked up a guitar which became my comforting friend through the years - thank u Jackson.

Congratulations Jackson. People will still be playing your music for generations to come. Basically sums up the situation. MAGNIFICENT!
Hello Janet..
Listening to a Jackson Browne song feels like being in good company, in beautiful yet cozy surroundings. ❤
There is something so straightforward and calm about Jackson's music. It's like we see him walking on his path and we decide to join him -- maybe because it is fall and the sun is beautiful -- with colors surrounding us like a painting. I always feel like the world looks elevated when I see through his eyes.
Well put.
Beautifully stated ..
