I had a question in an italian class what day of my life would I like to relive and I picked the day I saw the Moody Blues at an afternoon concert and then at night. so now I decided I needed to listen to some of their music
How really wonderful that we can relive our past in all its splendor ❤Thank you for your shared words .. let's have the pleasure of sharing this with friends and family
Thanks for posting this concert. I'm 69 and having a blast🎉 The Moody Blues music will live on forever. Our generation had the greatest music. Thanks Moody's
May your words ❤live on forever and be shared with friends and family... I've been listening 🎶 in their joy to every album, loving every album cover ... It's amazing that he's string enough to stand and perform for so many ❤
Knights in white satin is my wife and my favorite song. Wi waltzed to it and I played it to her while she in hospice care waiting to meet Jesus we were married for 54 years and she is the love of my life.
We had it played by an acoustic duo at our wedding, only 7 years ago. And my wife is also the love of my life. We hope one day to be married as long as you ❤❤
From our perspective, that is hard to imagine, eh? I came of age listening to the Moodies (I'm 63 now). These dang Gen Z'ers will never know real and good music.
I'm 65 years old. I grew up listening to the best music. And watching the greatest composers and musicians play with talent and skill, who had great passion for the performing arts. They really had a lot fun creating their music. God Bless all those musicians and composers who have brought great music to our lives. Moody Blues is just one of many bands who gave all of us their gifts. Thank you Sir Hayward and your companions in music.
I'm 73 and as an 18 year old I vividly remember the season when Days of Future Past was in the air everywhere. It was a time of hope, almost a communal joy
LG karin
I was lucky enough to catch them at the Isle of Wight festival (1970 as i recall). I will never again know the feeling of complete freedom and just getting lost in the music as i did listening to the Moodys as the sun went down on a perfect day 😎❤️. If only the young of today could experience 5 minutes of what life was really like back then, they would throw out this corrupt cabal of money grabbers and demand our lives back.
Totally agree with you. How sad when Taylor Swift is your top talent? But there's hope saw Band called Greta Van Fleet. You're Be amazed that these guys are so good. Go see them you'll like it.
I'm 68 now and received my first Moody Blues album in 1970. A Question of Balance. I have all their albums now. I listen to them all to this day and still go on U- Tube to see them in concert. What a journey this band takes you on!!
I'm now 70 years old and remember being in the Moody Blues Fan club at 14!! Watching Moody Blues in Concert ...never fails to move me. RIP Denny Laine.
There will never be as great of a band as the moody blues. They are perfection. They will always be remembered and played by are children's children. 😘
This is the band that set me on a quest to discover extraordinary music. Now at 72, the quest is not complete and I'm still discovering. I return to the Moodies from time to time and I enjoy every visit.
I'm 70 now and the moody blues were the greatest group I have had the pleasure of listening to and I have been listening to there music since 1967 there music is the greatest of all time
Rota Spain 1970, Naval Air station , The Moody Blues did a shakedown show at the NCO Club, a month before Isle of white... while we sailed off into a devastating F5 Hurricane at Sea. That show was complete with the same opening show as the Isle of white day 1
I saw them in 1977 at the age of 18 and it was an unbelievable concert with such class and a unique sound that no other classic rock band had back then or now as well. They are one of the best bands you will ever see in a life time.
I saw them 3 times. The first was in 1978 when I was 22 at the old Capital Center in Landover, MD. I've been a lifetime fan and still love their music.
That's great! You probably have a very good mind for all those memories! I lived in Arlington, VA (Yorktown HS, class of '74) from '71 to '95 (with a break for college). My first concert at the Cap Center was Grand Funk Railroad in '73 and I saw Elton John and Kiki Dee in '75. I'm also a big Journey fan and saw them in Honolulu (without Steve Perry) around 2015. Rock on! @@jrnyfan_57
So here I am at 66 with tears in my eyes. In Vivid remembrance of what I was just reminded of, and an ache in my heart of Music's distant past. Maybe as young teenagers, we didn't quite know what was before Us as well as what was to come. I can't hardly describe the death of so many many things around Us and beyond Us. The planet is falling apart and War is killing folks. The Moody Blues Rocked Our World then and now. Sadness and happiness all in One Music Odyssey. LOVE & PEACE 2 all. I’ve had a heart filled with love for the Moody blues since I was fifteen, I’m now 71 and I played the flute when I was young! There music is so beautiful it makes me cry every single time I listen to them!☮️❤️☯️
I don't have a computer, or laptop, yet. Can't afford one. I only have a mobile phone. I plug my headset into my mobile phone, and the Orchestra and the Moody Blues sounds wonderful.
i had all their 8-track tapes in the 70's Loved their music then and still listen today on computer 8-tracks are long gone but the memories are still in this 70 year old timer's mind. the 60's 70's and early 80's were the greatest time to live
I’m 74 too. I made some beautiful, slightly mind altered love to their music in 1970 and on and also did some truly wicked things with their music as a soundtrack. I still dream about both when I hear their music. Thanks for all the memories. . . .
I spent much of my time aged 19-20 listening to The Moody Blues. Since then they've continued to give me a great deal of musical peasure. Now I'm 73 and going to this wonderful concert on my smart phone. Gives a whole new meaning of GROOVY
SUCH a wonderful band, so many Great songs, and so good live. I swear I went to bed for 2 years, between the ages of 8-10, listening to THE DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED. No wonder I had such a happy childhood.
I saw the Moodies play with the orchestra in my city, I believe it was mid 90s. My friend & I lucked out and had 2nd row in the middle. We knew where they were staying, we went with only a hope & a dream..and Gordon Marshall, drummer & John Lodge came into the bar. Will never forget, Gordon came over right away as am sure he knew we'd been at the show, cause he saw us. Then John came in, I thought I will never have this chance again..I had on a Moodies pen on my jacket. John said, where'd you get that? I said I bought it...then I said, John I've been waiting for this awesome opportunity for 25 yrs...and he graciously came to our table where Gordon was already there. All 4 of us talked for over 2 hrs. Unforgettable, of course they took pictures w/ us, signed our concert books we'd purchased at the concert. Truly we talked not only about music, but many other social issues. It was like talking to friends I'd known for yrs, and I think they felt comfortable as well. It finally got so late, & they had to be up very early for their flight to another state for a concert the next night. My pics I took of course are framed & proudly displayed in my home...It was MAGICAL!! btw..have seen Moodies many times, but this time was Beyond..I try to see them every time they are here....XO
+BK Swanson (Buffy) Life is sweet at times. A magical night. When I saw them in concert about 20 years ago, it was more than music. It was ... idk. Fun, spiritual, eternal, good, sweet, powerful. We were fans before then, and well, I can say that I experienced love in that concert. I was changed, came away a better man, more tolerant, etc Interesting.
Living in Philadelphia they came I believe in the late seventies to the Spectrum. When they came out on stage Ray Thomas stepped on a loose plank and went down and broke his flute.Out of the audience as if by Magic an Ivory Flute was being passed up from him from someone in the audience.unbelievable.Im 72 and still cannot get enough of the real “Blues”
In 1974 I would play Seventh Sojourn over and over as I drove north under the stars at night through the California desert headed to ski in Mammoth, my friends all drifting off to sleep. My friend Phil passed away years ago, and Jim is somewhere in Mexico. At 67 I look back and smile.
I was fortunate enough to have met them in Daytona Beach. Sat on a couch with Ray and talked for half an hour and then went to their hotel and had dinner. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT NIGHT!!
Sad to hear of the passing of Mike Pinder. His melltron defines so much of the Moody sound. Will always wonder what if he had rejoined after the band reunited. Thanks for the music, gentlemen. Ray, Graham and Mike rest in peace. John and Justin, carry on. Moddys forever.
Never get tired of listening to the Moody Blues. At 73 I wore out the vinyl, eight track, cassette and now the C D of Days of Future Past. Love their music!
I’m 71 years old, discovered Days of Future Past and became a Moody Blues Fan immediately. Fortunately, I was able to get backstage twice and spend time with each of them except Mike Pinder who had left by then. Justin is an incredible Songwriter! The Group is simply Amazing!!!
Time goes by much too quickly, but great music never dies. We were privileged to see the Moody Blues twice, late in their musical careers. Simply among the most wonderful, memorable concerts ever! thanks for sharing your musical art, poetry and creativity with us!
This is so beautiful, I’m 74 & I was a teenager when The Moody Blues first started performing. I love seeing them performing in their older years. Justin Hayward is 77 these days, he was the youngest band member who joined the band after, can’t remember his name, quit The Moody Blues, lucky for Justin.👍Rip Ray & Graeme. ♥️
The worlds smallest symphony orchestra"THE MOODY BLUES" with each song better than the other.John Lodge,Justin Hayward,Ray Thomas,Michael Pinder & Grame Edge!! How do you spell talent it,s really quite easy The Moody Blues...Gone are the early days of Denny Laine & Lord Tim Hudson and todays Moodies just as they were from 1967 on continue to have no equal..Rock On Baby,Rock On...The Shanman
I'll be 74 in June this year in 2024. I started playing guitar in '64, I started learning and playing then performing in groups in '67, as a teen in Garage Bands happened. The first song I wrote was inspired by TMB. The words created their visitionary Escapades. They were an eternal part of my repitour. In my mind, as Artists, they helped me live up to knowing the High Mission of ART: "To forshadow, by their illusions, a higher Universe Reality; to crystalize the emotions of time into the thought of Eternity,"UBRmota23.
I am watching this beauty in, 2024!!!! Just mezmerizing!!! The orchestra is just beautiful... Just breathtaking!!! Justin is a true poet a true artist.... Just the most lovely voice I have ever heard... 💙💙💙💙💙.... 🌹🌹🌹🌹.....
I’m 84 years old. At one time I was In a sailboat, the Atlantic was open and I felt I could go anywhere. That’s what Sirius does, it takes me there in my mind.
JERRY A HOOSIER Anything that's universal will live forever. What they talk about is all to our souls. It understands it and get pleased. To myself, everytime I listen to their songs, it lifts my spirit as a magical spell.
Got that right, even tho they are mostly my sisters era. Only 6 years apart.I was 17 in the in the 70's Just brought out my albums, yes albums. I have listen to nights 60 times on u tube in the last few weeks, maybe more. Can't get enough of Justin. He has been married a long time, us 50 years in March Love this band
Not only do I believe this to be a form of musical genius, This music was part of my formative years and taught me to appreciate art in a deeper perspective.
During the late 1960’s and 1970’s the Moody Blues were the ultimate journey into the inner consciousness explorers. The wondrous album covers were always a joy for fans and followers of the band as well. I believe “Every Good Boy Deserves Favor, and Seventh Sojourn were my favorites, with Question Of Balance a close third. Ray Thomas’ flute playing me to take up the flute as well.
10-22-23: "... the ultimate journey into the inner consciousness explorers." Try re-writing that in English. Perhaps the word "into" can be replaced by "for." The Moody Blues (nor any other band) did not/could not go "into... explorers" (of any kind).
My wife and I have been listening to the Moody Blues since about 1967. And here again it's 2024 and still our favourite group.

Justin Hayward is 77 these days, he was the youngest band member who joined the band after, can’t remember his name, quit The Moody Blues, lucky for Justin.👍Rip Ray & Graeme. ♥️
Denny Laine is whatzhizname
@@fueledbylovethanks for reminding me. I loved his song “ Go Now! “
@@kathyrizzi8754 Yep, I guess when he sang Go Now he took his own advice and left. That worked out really well for us all.
@@fueledbylove it sure did, Justin Hayward & John Lodge were the best fit to make it so wonderful.👍🥰
Mike Pinder (mellotron) quit after the Octave album
The worlds smallest symphony orchestra"THE MOODY BLUES" with each song better than the other.John Lodge,Justin Hayward,Ray Thomas,Michael Pinder & Grame Edge!! How do you spell talent it,s really quite easy The Moody Blues...Gone are the early days of Denny Laine & Lord Tim Hudson and todays Moodies just as they were from 1967 on continue to have no equal..Rock On Baby,Rock On...The Shanman
God bless The Moody Blues.
Justin Hayward was 16 years old when the Moody Blues came together.
Fantastic! I first saw them in 1971 and last saw them with my granddaughter in 2011! They are the best!
Saw them at the Verizon/Sandstone Amphitheater August 28, 1998 with the Denver Colorado Orchestra. WOW, what a show that was. I'll never forget it!
Great musicians, one of the major bands in Rock history
🎼🎶👏💖I'm 70 and yes we had the BEST music - Moody Blues - ❤I love you forever along with The Beatles - RIP Mike Pinder who passed April 24th 🌠🙏
Moody Blues are my favorite band. Grew up listening to Nights in White Satin when I was just 16. Saw them in concert also. What a night that was.❤
Amazing writer 50yrs ago who have passed the test of time

ありがとうございます。
JUST WHAT THE TRUTH IS... I CAN'T SAY ANYMORE.... THE MOODY S WERE TOP SHELF !

ALOHA
71 and here again for more real sounds!!!
I’m 84 years old.
At one time I was In a sailboat, the Atlantic was open and I felt I could go anywhere.
That’s what Sirius does, it takes me there in my mind.
Brilliant. Just as good now as they ever were. Incredible
Justin Hayward still sounds great. Last time I saw them was in 1982
Music is the best, Moody Blues were just awesome live from day one.
Love them, Fantastic and amazing band. They will always be one of my most loved bands.
Hot as ever! Ray is sorely missed but grateful for his life and special contribution to the band as well as to the music world in general.
This makes me so very happy, thanks for sharing... :)
I am now 84, have been thier biggest fan since 1973 ...still the best!@
AH, THE MOODY BLUES. STILL GRREAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
All the core 7 albums were great but my favourite was To Our Children’s Children’s Children
10-22-23: "... the ultimate journey into the inner consciousness explorers." Try re-writing that in English. Perhaps the word "into" can be replaced by "for." The Moody Blues (nor any other band) did not/could not go "into... explorers" (of any kind).
good god, chill already@@donreed
I hope you are healthy❤ 25:41
Seventh sojourn definitely their best. 71 yr old here.
