Story is that theyre just random Mercenaries, so i wouldnt think so, but those big guy twins guarding the cells are

This show how powerful big boss is. Tanks, Helis and Special-Mercs are just a typical enemy in MGS V that you stumble upon while travelling, then again snake is just a rookie in this instance.
Most if not all of the ammunition, soldiers, supplies, and artillery were stolen, lol.
The fight with Metal Gear in this game is such a far cry from other games!
At least you get to fight the Metal Gear in the MSX version, not some computer in the NES version.

I like the idea of Snake being so good that he can defeat the metal gear before it is even able to be deployed.

That's not actually Big Boss you fight... it's his body double/phantom: Venom Snake. The real Big Boss was hidden in Zanzibar Land all this time until 199X.

When this game was released i do not think there was a concept of Sachelanthropus yet.
Its probably battle gear from diamond dogs remodelled to metal gear
Correct me if I'm wrong but sahakenthropus was nuked un mission 51 (the one that was deleted from mgsv) so tx-55 is a new design made by madnar (I think that it wasn't completed when you fight him so that's why the lazer cameras are the only ones to attack you i think)
1. Sahelanthropus is a shitty metal gear. It's not a stealthy nuke launcher at all.
2. Sahelanthropus doesn't work. The engineering is useless. It only worked because Psycho Mantis was moving it.
Iono man. Design wise, if you can make something smaller, lighter but equally as good (or better), that means less maintenance costs, better overall efficiency and etc.
Maybe that's why those tanks from MGS3 and on forward were big AF. Technology was limited back then.

@@kingstarscream320 Vulcan Raven is Machine Gun Kid, Hind D is Hind D, Tank is Tank. Even in Ghost Babel, Slasher Hawk is Coward Duck, and in MGS3, The Fury is Fire Trooper.

Hey, i got a question. I reached the tank Battle with Class 2, so I couldnt carry enough mines to destroy It. I killed all the previous bosses, so I dont know what happened. Is It a bug or did I miss something?
You gain class in this game by rescuing prisoners, not killing bosses

The original Metal Gear (Mech) looks kinda gross.
The TX-55 (that's the specific model) might have looked gross on purpose since the idea of a nuclear bomb shooting robot is supposed to be pretty bad in the first place.
