Just done this and it's amazing!! Sport - 32kph on flat Drive - 26kph Eco - 16kph Love these results and it is totally safe. What I would recommend is getting tyre pressure correct so that the motor isn't working any harder than it should if tyres are softer than they should be.
I bought my scooter 4 months ago & was too nervous to upgrade immediately. Today I thought I've probably missed the boat as my scooter had updated and was running 1.7.1, I thought I'd give it a try anyway, I flashed BLE090 & then 155Stock using M365 D grade, firmware reverted to 1.5.5 & I then flashed the Gonka, it works perfectly! What a difference just that little bit of speed to make it nippier, love it! Wish I'd done it sooner. Great video thanks mate👍

Couldn't find the issue and it was driving my mad. 2 minutes after watching your video I downloaded the app and the Bin file > Boom the Pro is up and running. Appears that I may have had a software issue with the original firmware. Now its unlocked and fixed. Many thanks for both the video and files.

SlammDunk Productions all right thanks a lot for quick reply. So tomorrown I will try to install the android app and we will see whats happened :) I will write feedback here :)
I feel like I want to say Yes there is a noticeable difference going up hill, but the other half of me worries I am imagining it 😬 it feels like it has a but more grunt uphill to me.
@@otalcre sorry for late reply, ive had no notifaction Otavio am really sorry. i was basically just saying it hables hills very well, you can feel the power more noticable after hacking. so its been 1 month...do you have one? did you hack it? hows it going?
I 'accidently' upgraded my firmware today soon as I got my Pro 2 out of the box. Needless to say I was devastated when you said you couldn't hack it if you upgraded the firmware (this vid is a year old so probably been sussed by now... I HOPED!) . So I had a look around and found another channel that gave the method to get around it. AND IT WORKED!! 31 KPH and flying around Walker today (I'm a middle aged engineering teacher by the way😂)... I'm so happy! Great vids anyway Slammdunk, subbed👍
Mate, this wouldn't have worked on a Pro 2 anyway....it's strictly pro1 only. Causes issues with other model (such as headlight not working or battery shows as being dead)...so think yourself lucky you didn't try....I would have given you suggestions for the pro2 hack but sounds like you already sorted it. 👍 Nice..cheers A
Nah its fair to say if you blasting this always on sparts mode Unlocked then the range is taking a hit for sure. hard to tell how much. Id say im getting about 18-22Miles on a full charge and i would be using sports mode 80% of the time. im pretty sure on eco mode you would get closer to 40miles still.
Hi there, does this improve uphill speed and power? Also does this just affect sport mode or all 3? Can a good range still be achieved in eco mode? Cheers
yes you get a slight boost in all 3 modes, but In my experience in ECO mode its only an extra 2kph (approx) so i feel you would still get close enough to the original 40mile range. im gonna estimate Drive mode only would take the range down to maybe 30-32 (ish?), but sports mode for sure is a killer lol, range is about 20miles if you go hard. For sure it has extra oomph uphill! i think its only a 5% increase in speed (dont quote me on that) but it feels a lot more noticable than that). hope that helps? :)
Got the scooter a few days ago from Halfords and have been intrigued by hearing a CFW can make it go a lot faster. Been having my doubts though, from what I can tell my battery lasts around 1:30 - 2 hours going full speed (22-25kph) never feel any warmth during riding from the battery but saying that I've never once touched the underneath of the scooter. Has this cfw in the long term shortened your batteries life span? Heat in batteries definitely causes them to deteriorate faster so I'd imagine going at a constant 30kph would do it no favours. You'd know as it would hold charge for far less time than when originally purchased. Also, I can imagine the battery life depletes much faster (though its kind of being made up for anyways by going faster let's be real). I'm on 1.6.0 so from what I can tell from others comments I should be able to perform this. I'm just worried of screwing the thing up tbh, replacement batteries definitely aren't cheap and this thing for sure is not made for rugged terrain which often causes me to slow down. Saying that, I'm assuming the breaking is a lot stronger on the cfw, hopefully hasn't caused damage or waring of the breaks itself for you?
After 3 months of constant usage I honestly have none of these concerns buddy...and I almost abuse this Scooter the way I am with it. Always sports mode, always flying over speed humps, little jumps of curbs and always sports mode. Scooter is still as solid as the day I got it. I'm super impressed with it 🙂 ....I guess you meant to say your speed is 22-25KPH (not mph) because the hack should take you up to 32kphm from 25kph, which doesn't sound like much but it is a noticeable difference. My understanding is that it will not shorten the lifespan of your batteries. Yes the range will be less from charge to charge, but that's to be expected if it goes faster. Also the way I understood things was that you are only unlocking the speed limiter, not boosting the power output or anything like that. I could be wrong, but 3 months now. Always using new flashed sports mode. Yes my maximum range is about 20miles now but where I live and how far I go it's great for me 20 miles is more than enough. I personally don't believe this custom firmware has any negative impacts on the motor/battery life but I'm no technician. I only done it after watching others talk about it on RUclips. Guys that seem far more technical minded than what I am. It's THEM I'm trusting and so far no regrets. If doing the firmware flash is just going to make you worried and spoil your enjoyment then maybe give it a pass if your happy enough 😁 I think that's all I can say a out it haha. Cheers Ian buddy, if you ever get round to it, let me know how you get on ok. All the best ❤️🙏
@@SlammDunkProductions Yeah man, that does sound promising. I did mean KPH get both confused. 😂 I'm going to give it a shot tbh seems like more pros than cons. Overall though do you ever feel they the scooter begins to slow itself down once you let go of the pedal? Like if I let go of the pedal down hill the scooter begins to decelerate automatically or maybe its just the momentum stopping that is causing me to think that? I haven't tried cruise control but I'm assuming that might solve my problem but then wouldn't it just constantly be gaining speed? Maybe it's just me tbf but I swear it halts in speed once letting go and there's no obvious "don't slow me down" option on the official app at least 😂
@@SlammDunkProductions So, just an update, I flashed the cfw (used a file from another guys channel) and wow the scooter is actually so much better now. The 15mph (25kph) it reaches on normal firmware ie pretty damn lame in comparison and the battery life seems pretty sustainable at faster speeds too. The scooter didn't want to charge immediately when I got home though, I'm assuming the temperature was too high for it to want to do it. I definitely recommend to anyone to own this who has doubts, even those similar to mine to just do it. Seems like the second setting D caps it at 20kph (on the cfw I used) which is pretty close to the normal max speed anyways. Thanks for making this video man, it definitely helped me pursue unlocking the scooters full potential!
@@McGreish Sorry late reply m8, ive not had any notifications and only cought your message by chance. had a read at your issue and im glad you finally got it sorted :) appreciate the info. How often do you actually use the scooter? daily or occasionally? do you know how many miles youve done so far? ✌
@@SlammDunkProductions No problem, I've been using it mostly daily and it's been overall fine. Had some noises come from the break disc recently and from the point the handle folds from but I heard lubrication is meant to help reduce those noises. Also accidentally went through a big puddle in the dark and it miraculously didn't break so that's a plus but I see why they say not to use it in the rain its far more dangerous in general. To check how far I've travelled if have to use the Xiaomi app I assume?
Hi great video I just bought one of these and am very tempted to try the mod , is this mod safe for the m365 pro ? If so how much does it decrease the max range roughly , thanks
100% safe as far as i am concerned. i am no programmer but everything seems legit to me. The hacked firmware is specifically made for the Pro version and simply removes the built in Limiter. The original speed on sports mode is 25kph, after the hack will be 32kph. i think its only a 5% increase, but deffinatley noticable and well worth it. Thanks for the feedback Jake. Thanks so much for the video man.... Really appreciate your time for making this tutorial. I am currently on a different CFW where I get max of 27 KM. I tried flashing Gonka but it says its sent retry and then failed with DownG app and with Xiao Falsher app it says the file is too small and not in the right format??? Have you get this ever?
Hey buddy thanks for reaching out, i will do my best to help you (if i can). first off, i would suggest just sticking with DownG app. Only because i know it 100% works, thousands of others have used it succesfully and i know its completely safe (and reversable should you wish to remove it) I have never heard of Xiao flasher and have zero experience with it (thats not to say its not legit ofcourse). What you describe spunds like a common problem, the 'sent retry failing. I used to get this annoying message when first applying the flash and eventually it just worked after much perseverance but i never knew why!? Someone here in the comments if you look (Fabricio Paschoal) explains that the scooter must first be connected to the Xiaomi home app in order to run the downgrade/flash. So i am hoping thats all you need to do. make sure you are connected to Xiaomi home BEFORE attempting the DownG/Gonka. Try that and a few more attempts and if still doesnt work let me know. hoepfully that help and solves your problem? 🙏

I think it works but I don't recommend it because M365 has smaller engine + 1 fuse (i think) so you can destroy your scooter. I may be wrong but I still don't recommend it either way.

Hi, first of all thanks but does this void the warranty? If so can it be rolled back to original without the service center noticing when claiming for a warranty? Many thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon. Cheers.
Yes buddy, its becoming a common question. To which i say ... yes i would imagine that if you had a hacked firmware on your Scooter and had to send it back to the chinese factory for some repair then they likely to say that you have voided your warranty. (im assuming) however, Yes! you can most deffinately roll back to the Stock firmware by simply using the Xiaomi app to 'reset' the scooter. The hack is very easy to remove in this way. :) Hope that helps? Last thing i would say is, Honestly dont worry about this hack. it isnt doing anything 'funky' to the scooter. there is no danger of the hack causing you unforseen issues. You will have no regrets im sure of it.... (unlesss you one of those people that try this hack on a scooter its not intended for, then you might run into some bother lol... ie. This is for M365 Pro....NOT the original, some people ignore that fact) All the best 🙂✌

What a great video ..plus the drone I haven't actually purchased a scooter yet as I'm still searching around trying to fine a decent one..but tempted to get what you have on video..but will see..dont want to rush in buying one if they release something nicer But nice video ,here in Leicester (eng) Also where did you get yours from?
Thanks john! cheers for the feedback :) Links are in description, I bought mine from gearbest. there are sellers who ship from china (cheaper but longer wait) thats what i did. if you live in UK/EU i believe there are some on gearbest that ship quicker as they are warehoused in poland. either way, gearbest is very reputable. you will pay a fair bit more on Amazon because the xiaomi is a chinese product. cant beat it for the price compared to US e-scooters. normally a new e-scooter will start at around $1500, the M365 pro is a 3rd of the price, build quality is great, not to mention go just as fast if not faster than the more expensives from US. Im sure plenty would disagree wityh me though. Good luck and whatever scooter you decide on im sure you wont regret....so much fun! :) All the best

Nah you ain't gonna get 45km once speed limiter is removed. Maybe on eco mode yeah, but if you use sports mode always it's closer to 25km. Appreciate the feedback thanks Aron 🙏
i dont think so mate, the newer firmware on the pro2 probably makes it impossible to downgrade for hacking . i wouldnt risk it.....However you should look for an app called 'XiaoFlasher' it should do the job 👍
yeah you need to be careful with this stuff....Using the wrong firmware on the wrong model of scooter can kill it or cause things like the LED/lights/dashboard not to work.
Hi mate. Great videos. I am thinking of doing this speed hack limit, however I believe my scooter is most likely a clone version of the Xiaomi M365/Xiaomi M365 Pro.. the model that I have got is some unknown model called MXL Pro? But the crazy thing is... my scooter looks more or less EXACTLY like the Xiaomi m365/Xiaomi m365 Pro. Same colours, same structure, everything. However the handle bars/stem is not solid it’s wobbly, it moves a lot when u move it back and fourth, up and down if you get what I mean. I tried everything that there is in the books to fix the handlebar wobbling issue like checking every screws properly, loosening it, screwing it back on, tightening it etc but nothing seemed to work. I eventually just left it because I still can use the scooter and get from A to B.. so it’s not given me that much of a big problem. My question is do you think the hack will still work? I don’t want to mess the scooter up or anything by trying to connect to this speed limit hack, especially the fact that my scooter most likely is a clone version of the Xiaomi Pro. Do you download both GONKA and the second link: m365downfrade, yeah? I own a iPhone by the way, would I need a Android for this? Oh and one more question after this installation/download is done you don’t always have to go back to the app to set your speed, right? It will automatically just be there set up after when you turn your scooter on? Hope to hear back from you soon and apologies if this comment seems very long and all questions in one go! Hope to hear back from you man, PEACE! ✌️
Yeah dont risk it mate! honestly it will likely do you more harm than good as this only works on the pro and no other models. Just be careful please dont brick your scooter 🙏🙏🙏
Respect for the effort you put into yr vids👊🙂. Any firmware/apps/walkthroughs you heard of for the Pro 2 that works as well as the Pro version you installed?
I got the UK version did the hack when I got the xiaomi mi pro few days ago thanks to this blog thanks very much for it but I've only had 32km max but it has been very windy now for about a week so I've only got to ride it in the strong wind around 29km to 30km I'm getting in the wind but sometimes goes 27km 28km maybe it might go faster without the wind another 3days of strong wind then it's going to calm down
I'd say 32km is about right for flat surface. That's what I get. But it will hit 35 downhill for me. Still a noticeable difference and we'll worth doing right?....for me it makes the scooter perfect speed. There is not often I would want to go any faster lol. Cheers for the feedback James... appreciated. All the best ✌️
When ive downloaded the gonka file and then went to open bin it wont let me press on that file ive already downgrade to 1.5.5 im really not sure whats wrong
itrs also hard for me to tell whats wrong without actually seeing your process unfortunately :( i dont know what to suggest right now. but if you are indeed on 1.5.5. it SHOULD be straightforward
Both are quoted as having same top speed, but the Pro has a more powerful 300w front wheel compared to 250w on the original. So basically the Pro has a longer range and can climb steeper hills. Thanks for the question, hope that helped?...All the best, cheers Adam ✌️

@@SlammDunkProductions Yo, I think this mod is still safe yeah? regarding battery and voltages.
@@SlammDunkProductions i bought pro yesterday even though they are illegal in holland. Not sure if I'm guna risk the speed hack though i heard it can kill the scooter battery
As long as its deffo the PRO version i promise you have nothing to worry about mate. there is absolutely nothing here that would even risk damage or unwanted side effects. For what its worth i give you my word. All this does is remove the built in speed restriction (whihc i can only pressume they built into the firmware to satisfy global laws?) This custom firmware just removes that lock and nothing else. 2cit doesnt do anything shady like alter battery outputs/wattages or anything like that. Only time it causes a problem is when NON-PRO users are determined to try it. It will not work on a non pro, infact if you try it the LED headlight will no longer work. I get a little fed up these days of people complaing to me that they tried it on an original M365 and now its broken. im pretty sure my video was clear about that....I digress... Your good mate dont worry. and if for any reason there is something you dont like or perhaps you need to keep your warranty valid? All you need to do is 'Reset' the scooter via the Xiaomi home app and the scooter will return to factory settings just as it came out the box! :) All the best Tom ✌ any questions later just hit me up ok.

SlammDunk Productions yes I live in the uk in Cheltenham I don’t know if you know where that is they do the horse racing here thank you bro and you safe scooting 😊😊
Yes it does indeed...if you are using 100% sports mode you are looking at a range of 20miles tops, but obviously if you switch back n forth to using the lower power modes you will extend that fairly significantly. Cheers 120 all the best 🙂
Thanks stephen i appreciate the feedback! :) Yeah these are pretty stable in the rain as long as you on a concrete type surface, Go round a corner at top speed and hit some wet mud you gonna have a whoopsie (trust me i know 😂) ✌

Hey, I just bought the Xiaomi m365 scooter, I drove it around for a bit everything was working great. I got home and got the app. I connected my scooter to the app and locked it. Then something went wrong and my app crashed. My scooter was still on and locked but the app seemed to forget my scooter so i couldn't unlock it. Now I can't move it or use it or connect to it in order to unlock it. I'm stressed that I can't resolve the problem as I need to use it in the morning to get to work. Any kind of help is appreciated!
shaheen ph shaheen ph Hey, here is a quick fix for ya. Unscrew the 4 screws that hold the handle bar in place. Disconnect the cable by the black plastic part. Just pull on both ends of that black plastic thingy. Then connect it again, and your problem is fixed. Have a great day!
Gonka works. Downgraded from .6 (I updated when I got the scooter) & flashed, went for a test ride, everything went well. I will update if anything goes wrong. I should also add I own the Pro European model, it even has those reflectors the Pro 2 has for whatever reason.
@@SlammDunkProductions Ayo no problem, thanks for the trustworthy video, I was very on the edge about doing the unlock, although your perspective changed my mind definetely. When I realised Gonka doesn't change voltage etc & is really just an unlock I did it, although I would surely like to see some proof of this fact, but I imagine it's not really too necessary since I have already installed it. In the end 32km/h is ironically much safer than 25, since if you want to ride next to cars, your swerve capability will be much better with the unlock, allowing you to dodge possible crashes in an altogether better way, as well as the limit in itself, on some roads the cars don't even try to go around you & just go behind since 30 is sometimes the limit in residential zones. (at least where I live)
@@SlammDunkProductions I currently live in Prague & apart from some cunts purposely trying to get as close to me as possible with their cars, most people are in fact pretty understanding for the scooter on the road. Cops look at me a bit weird but there is really not much they can do, I don't even believe I am legally required to use a helmet. The only place where you can't ride em' is the Old Town although you wouldn't wanna do that anyways as the roads were built in like the year 1700 so it's pretty much unusable for scooters. I usually just use the modern public roads but if I feel a bit dodgy I ride the sidewalks. Sometimes, rather than waiting the whole red light, I just hop off, cross as a pedestrian and scoot away down the pavement like an asshole. The city can get a bit clogged sometimes so I have experienced roads where I was passing cars left & right although in my area it's not common. Also, don't get too jealous, for true enjoyment I also have to use parks as the road is quite dangerous - not necessarily the traffic itself, only the fucking egoistic dickheads who can't stand going slower than 60km/h for more than 8 seconds & resort to almost ramming your ass.

Hi, been watching your videos and really enjoy. Just gone and bought the m365 Pro scooter from your experience. Just not sure on what apps to download first to upgrade to 35 kmh. Literally just set up scooter, no apps at all on phone so where do I start. Not to clever with computers and files etc.
First app is Just the offcial Xiaomi home app. this is the normal app for setting up your scooter and viewing details like speed, battery level and other stats....To do the hack first check what firmware you are on. If you are on 1.5.5. you can go ahead and use the 'DownG' app apply the hacked firmware (GONKA.zip) if you are on firmware higher than 1.5.5. then you will first need to use the DownG app to downgrade your firmware using the BLE090.zip. then once on 1.5.5. you can carry on with the hack. At any time you can use the Xiaomi Home app to reset your scooter back to factory settings. Hope that help? All the best lloyd 🙂✌

Well the phone holder is actually small compare to the phone it holds. My Phone is a google pixel 2 XL (pretty big phone) The silicone holder wraps around my phone perfectly. For me its the perfect mount and it does not block the view of the Scooter LCD display. When you use the Xiaomi app it gives a lot more information than what the Built in LCD does. i.e. Milage, How much range you have left and plenty more, but to be honest i dont even bother with the Xiaomi app./ i just like being able to use spotify easy for playing my tunes. Nah its fair to say if you blasting this always on sparts mode Unlocked then the range is taking a hit for sure. hard to tell how much.

All the best mate 👍✌
@@SlammDunkProductions thank you for such a fast response also that's great to hear , just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause any issues like battery and motor overheat or blow fuses lol

@@SlammDunkProductions Oddly enough, all this is strangely reminiscent of the old iOS jailbreaking scene that used to exist back in the 'aughties' Actually, I wound up getting tired of the cat & mouse involved with all that and, besides, Apple were wise enough to incorporate much of the hackers' work making the whole process less relevant. I will look forward to trying this but have decided to actually learn how to ride the thing first and get some miles on the clock rather than risk bricking it before I'm even out of the front door.

Awesome tutorial Slammdunk and thanks. Quick question ttho did you change any of the parameters at all or just flash as defaulted?

Hi mate, Happy New year!... No i didn't change any parameters, I flash as defaulted... All the best ✌️
So the range of the scooter is 45km, with the custom firmware how many kilometers i will go? Godd video mate.
Nah you ain't gonna get 45km once speed limiter is removed. Maybe on eco mode yeah, but if you use sports mode always it's closer to 25km. Appreciate the feedback thanks Aron 🙏
will this work on the pro 2 as well? just bought one yesterday and looking for more speed. keep up the good videos mate
i dont think so mate, the newer firmware on the pro2 probably makes it impossible to downgrade for hacking . i wouldnt risk it.....However you should look for an app called 'XiaoFlasher' it should do the job 👍
@@SlammDunkProductions ok thanks for the advice bud i did worry if i tried it the scooter would die lol
yeah you need to be careful with this stuff....Using the wrong firmware on the wrong model of scooter can kill it or cause things like the LED/lights/dashboard not to work.
Thanks mate...yeah have you tried 'XiaoFlasher' in the play store?...it should do a Pro 2 👍
@@SlammDunkProductions please i need the files for xiaomi essential
Do you know if.... the pro and the normal M365 both go the same speed if they both have the no speed limit hack or does the pro go faster?
Both are quoted as having same top speed, but the Pro has a more powerful 300w front wheel compared to 250w on the original. So basically the Pro has a longer range and can climb steeper hills. Thanks for the question, hope that helped?...All the best, cheers Adam ✌️
@@SlammDunkProductions Yo, I think this mod is still safe yeah? regarding battery and voltages.
Might get one does this work on the not pro version too? And can it harm the scooter in any way?
Only will work on the Pro my friend ✌️
@@SlammDunkProductions i bought pro yesterday even though they are illegal in holland. Not sure if I'm guna risk the speed hack though i heard it can kill the scooter battery
I’m gonna try this with my Xiaomi pro I’m worried to try it again because I broke the scooter last time love your videos bro

Deividas Dimidovas did yours work as it did in the video?
they sayin 45kmh max speed on pro at aliexpress so its going only 30?
Ninja Flame yes, couple minutes and thats it
I'm runing 1.6.6. Do you believe will work?
What about the battery life after the hack? Does it drain faster than before?
Yes it does indeed...if you are using 100% sports mode you are looking at a range of 20miles tops, but obviously if you switch back n forth to using the lower power modes you will extend that fairly significantly. Cheers 120 all the best 🙂

Correct. use the xiaomi app to restore to factory settings. 👍

Tomi Nagy Hi Tomi. It’s automatic open after 3 hours. It’s because of app problem got locked. Thank you
Gonka works. Downgraded from .6 (I updated when I got the scooter) & flashed, went for a test ride, everything went well. I will update if anything goes wrong. I should also add I own the Pro European model, it even has those reflectors the Pro 2 has for whatever reason.
Nice! thanks for that Empire! :) 👍
@@prodbyEmpire What country do you live in? Im getting all jealous here listing to this "Dodging in and out of traffic" talk...Sounds fun!🤣
@@prodbyEmpire You know they only just legalized them in UK a few weeks ago. well...half legalized them. They made it so that it was 'Rentals only!" for a trial basis 1 year to see how it goes....ALREADY they have been banned again because kids are getting a hold of them and zooming through shopping malls n shit! urgh just when i had some hope i might get to ride legal one day a bunch of little bastards ruin it for everyone :( How come you other countries dont have this bother?
