Note that with these electric motor attached to tire, the tire under heat expands/higher psi. My Segway pro had tire bubbling issues because of this heat. Probably cheap rubber being a big issue. I put in bicycle tubeless sealent to seal the microscopic holes.

I have a 16349 m365 and was able to successfully downgrade BMS to 107, downgrade DRV to 140 and flash with 200CFW. Scooter is working as expected and is noticeably higher performing in acceleration and braking. Thanks for the great tutorial and file names!
Hi Doug Nhut, what is the fastest speed you could squeeze out of all the firmware combi's until now ? Managed on a flat surface somewhere over 32-33 km/h with fully charged batteries and firmware 1.38, not going past 1.40 but I did see newer firmware that prevents fiddling around
Observations with cfw200 & bms107 in a hilly town: -Very noticeable speed and hill incline improvement -Battery life is greatly impacted (50%+), my battery dies on trips that usually left it at 35-40% -Motor is hot when I get home and it takes ~10 min before the scooter accepts charging, this even when it was 11c outside So it's nice but I'm switching back to stock.. it would probably fare much better on flat ground

Hey guys, many of you would like to try this mod out and dont want to damage your scooter. Simply change into eco mode and eco mode will make a limit of 25 km/h where as normal mode will be 32 km/h with the speed hack. OR If you dont want it then factory reset your scooter.
Wish I had a phone holder same as yours. Got my scooter today, bought a holder from a local store, and at the first bump my s9+ completely shaderrd, at least only the back got cracked.
Hi Doug, it's a great video as always. You won't believe what happened to me (and my Xiaomi scooter). I was riding at 26KM/hr down the road when the handle bar split and cracked (where the folding joint is). Basically the top part oft handle bar was in my hand and the bottom skate board part was separate (except for the cables holding it together)! The bottom part turned left (out of balance) and I kept holding the handle bar confused in that split second as to what happened. I flew 2 -3 meters in the middle of the road. I was SO LUCKY, the the incoming cars all had time to brake and stop and not run over me. I was so lucky because 4 cars had just passed me 6 seconds ago and if that happened, I would be dead. They would run over me unintentionally. Let alone 6 seconds before that I was going down an incredibly-incredibly steep hill and wold have flew from the top of the hill and presumably died from the looks of it. I was on the asphalt, bleeding, unable to speak, unable to think and unable to move. They got down from their cars and carried me to the pavement calling the hospital. Next thing I was in hospital and luckily nothing broken, just my hands and legs are badly bruised and bleeding I cannot walk. I had some stitches, but it's fine.

Hi Doug, thank you so much. I'm recovering physically. I think the psychological part is trickier. I am so grateful that it did not happen down a *very* steep road (18 degrees = 32.9% slope). The thought of that happening is haunting me (think I've got some trauma from that experience). I would have been flying over cars and definitely run over. Yes, you are absolutely right, it is the pivot breaking. I can send you pics to see it. What I am suspecting happened is every time you ride fast we tend to pull the handle bar back especially when you are going down a slope. The issue is it is not supposed to break! They advertise it as secure with it being aircraft grade metal, etc... The max weight is 100KG I presume (or 120)? I am 85KG. So that should be OK. I even bought a second one (as I use it for daily work and having a flat tyre is an issue) but now I don't dare to get on it. You guys need to be careful, it can crack and I'm 85KG.
it happens often and often unfortunatelly. Did you tighten the screw there? i heard that is the main problem, the screw being to tight and folds the pivot. Anyway, i hope you're alright!
Hey Doug, Great video and a big improvement to my scooter, (especially up hills). When switching to Eco mode does it revert back to stock speed for eco or is it more of a beefed up version. I have the bms 107 and 200_w . Cheers

Hi doug I write you 3 weeks ago about the filmware download. I'm back now I was very busy last week. I have updated last week , the last version 1.4.1 I didn't no.... you're right is not working I tried but the scooter will not turn off and drive. Can I turn off Eco Mode somehow? I uploaded a custom firmware (modified DYoC) and my scooter goes faster. The thing is, a whole trip to work costs me about 60% of battery and I feel like the last part of my trip I travel at slower speed. Can I do anything about it? Thanks.
It works for my Amazon bought US Version. Had to downgrade from 1.42 to 1.40 doe cuz I upgraded right out of the box then. Feels slightly faster~ about 3mph more for me and hill climbs are definitely better. Update: Tested it out to go to work today WITH the mod for the first time. My ride to work is 5 miles (8km) one way. For the mod, I used the 200CFW_W, and I was averaging around 19.5mph (31km/h) and passing a lot of bicyclist with some saying my scooter is fast! Average temperature of my vehicle was at 80 degrees fahrenheit (which is 26 celsius i think) when I got to work and parked it at my cubicle. However, that's with the outside morning temperature of 36 Fahrenheit which is 2 celsius. Overall, I am happy with the firmware mod, and thanks Doug for the great tutorial vid!!
Finding out if you have two fuses seemes to be not easy. My serial number is way below the 35000 but the battery production date is 08/2017. I got mine early 2018 and it had BMS 1.1.5 installed. I am pretty sure that I have two fuses. The patched firmware "CFW w" with 850W works fine for me.
MrCanidi you are right, there seems to be a lot of uncertainty. That's why I made a video for visual proof if you have two fuses or not. Thanks for letting us know!

Im quite confused, i just want to check if i have 2 fuse. Mine is a China white but the serial number is less than 35000 but manufacture date is march 2017, i dont wnt to tear appart inside as i dont have much time to really look into it. Do i have 2 fuses with looking at manufacturers date? Or it should be manufacture date and serial number above 35000 to make sure i have 2 fuse? Thanks for the help!
i have a single fuse bms and i found a double fuse bms that i can buy online. Question: will it work if i replace the single fuse bms to the double fuse bms?

Doug, I upgraded today to 200CFW and BMS 115. Great increase in torque and hill climbing. I do notice a point at which the rear brake is very strong and sudden. If I understand well, this has to do with the firmware? I would tend to think the rear brake is purely mechanical, but I didn’t feel it when I tested braking with the scooter off. Did I understand well! Thanks!
This is a brilliant upgrade Thankyou Doug. I'm a bit heavy & my M365 couldn't pull me up out of my drive. It flies up easily now. I'm not too keen on the new braking though. Can it be toned down? Cheers....
Nigel Raby thank you!. The braking can't be changed at the moment. But I'm sure firmware will be customizable in the future. Not sure when, but be sure that I'll be keeping an eye out for it and a video would follow

Thank you! This works exactly as you described, but after using 107 + CFW, I switched back to the original settings. I was excited to increase the speed limit, but I found the overall ride requires me to work harder, and be much more alert, especially when breaking / stopping. It's a quicker, but also less enjoyable a ride - for me. Also, it used nearly 2X battery vs factory setting. Thanks again for the excellent thorough video, but a word of caution for those on the fence about this. Glad I tested it, but very glad to be back to original settings.
@@lucavlak4556 with scooter turned off pull the brake and at the same time press Accelerator and turn on you will hear a single beep followed by 4 beeps when you hear that let go and scooter is factory default

Electric scooters are a lot of fun. I usually ride it too. However, Japanese law is strict, so it is difficult. It's a very interesting channel! I am good at shooting videos. With love from Japan :)
I have installed 200CFW_W. It's much more powerful going uphill and brakes now work as they should. But after some time the motor gets overheated and the scooter turns off. And is't just + 20 c outside. Overheating is a real issue.

Seems that it works fine after several shut downs (all of them occurred after 30+ minutes of riding when the battery was low). It's hard to get shutdown when the temperature is lower than 20c. I measured the temperature after 50 mins of riding using infrared thermometer. It was about 85c. If you plug in the charger after ride like this, nothing would happen. It would start charging when the temperature drops to 50 (probably the battery is hot too). I also have found a solution. Switching to eco mode when 2 of 4 levels left will prevent overheating at the end of a ride.
NeEbiMozgi I have been driving yesterday for 6km at 33C. Motor was freakin hot, bit it was still running. Dunno about charging, bc I didnt dare. Charging hot batteries is bad for them, something I learned from my Tesla car.
Mine is Europen - arrived last week, should not be a problem with fuse(s) etc, but it shuts down on quite steep/long climbs. It worries me that it might be the same with the weak version. The engine is not hot and the temperature in Norway is less than 20 celcius. It charged immidately.
I bought a new scooter recently, named VehiGo, and found its quick charging function is awesomeee!!! Hope you can try it and test it in details professionally for us. I'd like to know more about its performance :P
How does this impact the firmware version? Does it get downgraded. Can you still use the XIAOMI app to restore or upgrade firmware to new factory version?
Doug Hnut I cant find the option to get back to my original firmware version. Can you help me with that? I cannot find this option in the Android downg app. Also in the iPhone original version I had an option to restore to factory defaults, but that is gone as well. Thanks!

@@SimonaCapodannoOfficial Actually even with 32 km/h it kind of overheats it going long way and on harsh terrain + heavy weight. For me 35-40 km/h would be a sweet spot. Wonder how other faster scooter handle the heat. Rev Scooter seems great in that department, but the price is not a great value in terms of what you get. Ninebot Max seems nice, hopefully it will cope with 32-35km/h.
@@TheChazas It will only go faster with higher voltage. The way brushless electric motors work is by the KV/RPM rating of the motor. So basically KV/RPM is number of turns, per volt, per minute. In other words, for each volt of electricity it will turn X amount of times per minute. An example would be a motor of 100KV running on 10 volts is 100KV x 10 volts = 1000, so it will do 1000 revolutions per minute on 10 volts. So the motor on the Xiaomi is no longer limited by software when it reaches 32 ish kph, it is now limited by the voltage. To go faster you would need to add a different battery or modify your current battery to have a higher voltage. The capacitors on the speed controller are rated to 60 volts and there are people on forums who have modified there batteries and ran close to 60 volts and get around 30 mph. Look it up on google.
@@sirfin44 It wont go faster than 20 mph, that's the maximum speed the motor will turn with the given voltage. At 20 mph the motor is no longer being limited, that's as fast as it it can go with out adding a higher voltage battery. Some people claim 21 - 22mph, those are exaggerations or people who go down hill with the wind on there back.
Thanks for the awesome info, but i did mine, it works fine but the dashboard isn’t show any battery indicator but showing the last bar of the battery indicator steadily blinking like the battery is low, also the front light is not switching on at all,how can one switch back to default

They rent them in Stockholm and i heard the lifetime of them is 3 months since people drive them hard, but the companies earn it back in 3 months, but not do We as We just want it for personal.

Hi I have taken your advice and am running bms107 and CFCw-w, after about a few km the scooter seems to slow to a max speed of around 21-22kph ? Is this because it is getting hot I’m 92kg and do a commute of around 15km I do use economy setting for the majority of the drive apart from hills?
Ok guys i found out, the way to do it is simply by going to this link m365.botox.bz/ that this youtuner gave me in a cimment, then set the maximum speed limit to 31 or 33 then download the .bin file the website made for you, and run it in the app for downgrading, after u have degrade you firmware version u can now use rhe CFW200 and drive 5-7km/h additional. Np

Hi Doug, thank you so much. I'm recovering physically. I think the psychological part is trickier. I am so grateful that it did not happen down a *very* steep road (18 degrees = 32.9% slope). The thought of that happening is haunting me (think I've got some trauma from that experience). I would have been flying over cars and definitely run over. Yes, you are absolutely right, it is the pivot breaking. I can send you pics to see it. What I am suspecting happened is every time you ride fast we tend to pull the handle bar back especially when you are going down a slope. The issue is it is not supposed to break! They advertise it as secure with it being aircraft grade metal, etc... The max weight is 100KG I presume (or 120)? I am 85KG. So that should be OK. I even bought a second one (as I use it for daily work and having a flat tyre is an issue) but now I don't dare to get on it. You guys need to be careful, it can crack and I'm 85KG.

it happens often and often unfortunatelly. Did you tighten the screw there? i heard that is the main problem, the screw being to tight and folds the pivot. Anyway, i hope you're alright!

Hey Doug, Great video and a big improvement to my scooter, (especially up hills). When switching to Eco mode does it revert back to stock speed for eco or is it more of a beefed up version. I have the bms 107 and 200_w . Cheers

Hi doug I write you 3 weeks ago about the filmware download. I'm back now I was very busy last week. I have updated last week , the last version 1.4.1 I didn't no.... you're right is not working I tried but the scooter will not turn off and drive. I put the filmware back in bms 115 and everything is working normally. I hope for a new version . thanks so far.

It works for my Amazon bought US Version. Had to downgrade from 1.42 to 1.40 doe cuz I upgraded right out of the box then. Feels slightly faster~ about 3mph more for me and hill climbs are definitely better.
Update: Tested it out to go to work today WITH the mod for the first time. My ride to work is 5 miles (8km) one way. For the mod, I used the 200CFW_W, and I was averaging around 19.5mph (31km/h) and passing a lot of bicyclist with some saying my scooter is fast! Average temperature of my vehicle was at 80 degrees fahrenheit (which is 26 celsius i think) when I got to work and parked it at my cubicle. However, that's with the outside morning temperature of 36 Fahrenheit which is 2 celsius. Overall, I am happy with the firmware mod, and thanks Doug for the great tutorial vid!!

Finding out if you have two fuses seemes to be not easy. My serial number is way below the 35000 but the battery production date is 08/2017. I got mine early 2018 and it had BMS 1.1.5 installed. I am pretty sure that I have two fuses. The patched firmware "CFW w" with 850W works fine for me.

Im quite confused, i just want to check if i have 2 fuse. Mine is a China white but the serial number is less than 35000 but manufacture date is march 2017, i dont wnt to tear appart inside as i dont have much time to really look into it. Do i have 2 fuses with looking at manufacturers date? Or it should be manufacture date and serial number above 35000 to make sure i have 2 fuse? Thanks for the help!

Doug, I upgraded today to 200CFW and BMS 115. Great increase in torque and hill climbing. I do notice a point at which the rear brake is very strong and sudden. If I understand well, this has to do with the firmware? I would tend to think the rear brake is purely mechanical, but I didn’t feel it when I tested braking with the scooter off. Did I understand well! Thanks!
yes braking is stronger. but it doesn't affect the rear brake, just the regenerative front brake.

Nigel Raby thank you!. The braking can't be changed at the moment. But I'm sure firmware will be customizable in the future. Not sure when, but be sure that I'll be keeping an eye out for it and a video would follow

Thank you! This works exactly as you described, but after using 107 + CFW, I switched back to the original settings. I was excited to increase the speed limit, but I found the overall ride requires me to work harder, and be much more alert, especially when breaking / stopping. It's a quicker, but also less enjoyable a ride - for me. Also, it used nearly 2X battery vs factory setting. Thanks again for the excellent thorough video, but a word of caution for those on the fence about this. Glad I tested it, but very glad to be back to original settings.

@@lucavlak4556 with scooter turned off pull the brake and at the same time press Accelerator and turn on you will hear a single beep followed by 4 beeps when you hear that let go and scooter is factory default

I have a question. I want to download BMS 107 and cfw 200..my question is do I need to download bms 107 after download cfw200? How does that work!
I have installed 200CFW_W. It's much more powerful going uphill and brakes now work as they should. But after some time the motor gets overheated and the scooter turns off. And is't just + 20 c outside. Overheating is a real issue.

Seems that it works fine after several shut downs (all of them occurred after 30+ minutes of riding when the battery was low). It's hard to get shutdown when the temperature is lower than 20c.
I measured the temperature after 50 mins of riding using infrared thermometer. It was about 85c.
If you plug in the charger after ride like this, nothing would happen. It would start charging when the temperature drops to 50 (probably the battery is hot too).
I also have found a solution. Switching to eco mode when 2 of 4 levels left will prevent overheating at the end of a ride.
NeEbiMozgi I have been driving yesterday for 6km at 33C. Motor was freakin hot, bit it was still running. Dunno about charging, bc I didnt dare.
Charging hot batteries is bad for them, something I learned from my Tesla car.
Mine is Europen - arrived last week, should not be a problem with fuse(s) etc, but it shuts down on quite steep/long climbs. It worries me that it might be the same with the weak version. The engine is not hot and the temperature in Norway is less than 20 celcius. It charged immidately.

@@SimonaCapodannoOfficial Actually even with 32 km/h it kind of overheats it going long way and on harsh terrain + heavy weight. For me 35-40 km/h would be a sweet spot. Wonder how other faster scooter handle the heat. Rev Scooter seems great in that department, but the price is not a great value in terms of what you get. Ninebot Max seems nice, hopefully it will cope with 32-35km/h.
@@TheChazas It will only go faster with higher voltage. The way brushless electric motors work is by the KV/RPM rating of the motor. So basically KV/RPM is number of turns, per volt, per minute. In other words, for each volt of electricity it will turn X amount of times per minute. An example would be a motor of 100KV running on 10 volts is 100KV x 10 volts = 1000, so it will do 1000 revolutions per minute on 10 volts. So the motor on the Xiaomi is no longer limited by software when it reaches 32 ish kph, it is now limited by the voltage. To go faster you would need to add a different battery or modify your current battery to have a higher voltage. The capacitors on the speed controller are rated to 60 volts and there are people on forums who have modified there batteries and ran close to 60 volts and get around 30 mph. Look it up on google.

@@sirfin44 It wont go faster than 20 mph, that's the maximum speed the motor will turn with the given voltage. At 20 mph the motor is no longer being limited, that's as fast as it it can go with out adding a higher voltage battery. Some people claim 21 - 22mph, those are exaggerations or people who go down hill with the wind on there back.

They rent them in Stockholm and i heard the lifetime of them is 3 months since people drive them hard, but the companies earn it back in 3 months, but not do We as We just want it for personal.

Hi I have taken your advice and am running bms107 and CFCw-w, after about a few km the scooter seems to slow to a max speed of around 21-22kph ? Is this because it is getting hot I’m 92kg and do a commute of around 15km I do use economy setting for the majority of the drive apart from hills?

Ok guys i found out, the way to do it is simply by going to this link m365.botox.bz/ that this youtuner gave me in a cimment, then set the maximum speed limit to 31 or 33 then download the .bin file the website made for you, and run it in the app for downgrading, after u have degrade you firmware version u can now use rhe CFW200 and drive 5-7km/h additional. Np
