If you just want to do a h/c/I, sure ls1 will make more power, but not everyone stops there. 440 whp n/a 350 lt1 here, full bolt on. My uncle's full bolt on ls made 470
@@EverythingFast Dude I've messed with LT1s for years I'm no nube to the car world and of course the grubworm is highly modified after all it is a world record car lol.
My point was if u thought a cammed LT1 with longtubes and God know what else was gonna make under 300 to tires that's very laughable.. And yes I own a 95 LT1 6spd and a 99 WS6 A4 LS1 cammed , Longtubes and we all prefer them over the Gen 2 but not always. Both are a very stout peice.
Anyway, good video.
@@matthorvath7562 that's definitely more on the money on the power numbers. The 275 net hp they were rated at in the F-bodies was very conservative.
I just get sick of all the BS with these engines with people claiming they don't make power cause they read that on an LS forum somewhere 😂
@@midsouth2strokes185 agreed. People that usually talk negative about LT platform, usually have no personal experience, like guy in this video. Theres cc306 cam only swap examples of putting down 350 whp, and that's an old cam compared to custom grinds of today from advanced induction or Lloyd Elliott
They 280-300stock😭😭😭
Sure has a lot of blue smoke for a newly rebuilt engine.
Normal till the rings get seated and the tune gets right, it'll make more power also.
Lee seems really mean
He’s not, I promise
My 1995 camaro has a stroked Lt-1 edelbrock heads ,and tuned to 500 hp . All roller ,comp cam BBK headers cold air induction Lt-4 intake .
Probably make more power if it wasn't bowing by or so rich.
No it was 420 and I’m burning one
280-300 😂they produce that much stock
Yeah, I kinda laughed when the guy in the driver seat said those numbers as his guess.
That 280-300 is flywheel stock, not out the wheels.
@@user-Dr.gm would lie about horsepower ratings i don’t know why i just remember they used to , even on the LS1
@@user-Dr.most lt1s will dyno around 270.. theyre around 300 flywheel. Corvettes of the same years with the same engine were rated at 300
@@sergiocarmonajr7127 Yeah, GM has always under rated HP, ever since the 60's, for insurance purposes or other reasons, while others over rate.
that thing is a turd. My 94 z28 made 434 whp on a conservative tune with just heads, cam, intake, throttle body, TFX 36lb injectors. And No 24X bullshit.
