Yessir, that ridge seems way too wide- but I bet that saved the builder some materials costs... just as those overhangs did. I guess the sheathing will continue to hold them in place. Good to see you have a crew on this job as this is tough work for guys in their 60s. Thanks for sharing Drew.
My favorite Aunt lives in a single-wide trailer that is trash, and believe it or not, it's rather difficult to find skilled labor that WANTS to work on a trailer in her area. I went up to visit her for a week and was going to help her out and get her laundry room re-organised (I wanted to relocate the washer and dryer: I wanted to move it about 5 feet to the left...so I needed a plumber.) I called three different plumbers and left messages with all of them. Only one bothered to call me back, then refused the job when he found out it was a trailer. Sigh...I ended up leaving there and not being able to do the work...I think that's why I like your videos so much. You take pride in doing a job well. Strange how something that was drilled into us as children, `If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well`, would become so scarse now...

We do not have ice dam issues in North Carolina. That is for sure. What happened on this job is whoever put the last roof on. This thing didn’t remove all the rotten wood and when that happens this is what you might find on the next tear off. Thank you for the visit. I always appreciate your comment. the roof joists and rafters on my mobile are only 1x2 (or 2x2) wood, not 2x4. Is this unusual? I need to repair the roof panels but not sure if the framing would even support a person. should I sister the joists and rafters before repairing the top? thanks

And this house was built by the manufacturer like that doesn’t make sense at all
