And Now even the budget Phones costing 180 dollars are much better than Galaxy S3 in all the aspects.Except few purposely taken decisions like skipping the compass sensor. Even when compared to today's flagships,budget phones give comparable experience for doing all the basic and medium level stuff.It's only the high end use cases that differ. Technology has improved so much in 5-6 years. Decent phones are now accessible to every buyer.
Your right about that I first treated myself to this Luxurious phone in pebble blue I liked the S3 quite a bit it was a fun phone to use it lasted about 3 years unfortunately it broke down and doesn’t start up anymore I miss that phone sometimes for nostalgia but you are right it can’t compare to newer phones still it’s fun looking back on this phone during the 3 years that it worked

I have an S9 plus and it is just astonishing how technology has evolved. I remember when I was a kid that the "rich kids" always boosted S3's in my school and I remember being blown away (and also sad because I never had this phone) by the way this phone looked. It really felt futuristic and beautiful. Little did I know in my child mind that smartphones will look like they do today
I got this phone 3 weeks ago. I've installed some emulators on it which I can play with a Nintendo Wii wireless controller so it's a fully fledged games console. Awesome processing power. For a long time Apple had the best phone but they have rested on their laurels. This is currently the best smartphone in the world.

The led light was awesome!! I loved how it blinked to the color of the app that you recieved a notification from. For example if it was snapchat it would blink yellow and for messenger it blinked blue.

Crazy how different it looks to a modern Samsung. It reminds me more of a keyless Blackjack than a Galaxy. I forgot how these looked with the button. Back when these were a thing, I wasnt sold on any one brand. I went from a Blackberry equivalent to the Blackjack II in the early smart phone days to an Iphone 3G, a GS4, GS5, then the iPhone 7+, a Pixel 5 (I think), a Galaxy S20+, and now the S22 Ultra. There may be a couple I've forgotten about, but that seems about right. I'm no fanboy of the Galaxy phones and would love to try an Asus ROG 7, but I have very little to complain about with the S22 Ultra. They've kept to their roots for the most part on the Galaxy lineup over the last 12 years. The power is substantial and I rarely notice it getting warm to the touch, unlike older phones. The Bluetooth is quick to connect and the Wifi6E capabilities make desktop download and upload speeds possible. The only downsides are the lack of expandable storage and the glass back vs a plastic/metal backplate. I can understand forgoing upgradable storage for water ingress protection in the days of cloud computing, but the plastic and metal backplate (and frame) would be a welcome contribution to those of us clumsier folks. I would happily forgo wireless charging for a metal plate that was removable without cracking or sacrificing the IP68 rating. I've never wirelessly charges my phone, as it doesn't fit on my wireless charger pad in my Mercedes. It's too damned big. :/
I honestly think the S3 is the best samsung phone ever made. I had this phone for at least 3 years, and it still works perfectly fine and if you ask me how many times this phone fall on the ground, still not even a crack on the screen, i lost counts. I highly doubt the newer ones would do that
My dad had this phone before and it's absolutely amazing but unfortunately it completed died so he switched to iPhone 5c and it was awful because of small screen and boring stuff but now he has LG G3 :)

@@louisvilletech7765 yes Dead Trigger had a Ultra Graphics option but you had to run it on the quad core s3, and as far as i know it allowed you too see the floor flooded at the beginning of the first level . Now there's is a way of enabling the ULTRA option but you need to have your phone rooted in order for it to work and you have to do it everytime you start the game You have to go into the games configuration file and edit something on there. So believe when I say that the HIGH graphics option is NOT the games highest option for enhanced graphics
I remember when my brother got one of these in 2012. It seemed like it had everything. I had a cheap LG Optimus, and I was green with envy. The S3 was the best you could get at the time. It's so primitive and stripped down now. Even the cheapest phones are as good or better than the S3 now.

I remember when my brother got one of these in 2012. It seemed like it had everything. I had a cheap LG Optimus, and I was green with envy. The S3 was the best you could get at the time. It's so primitive and stripped down now. Even the cheapest phones are as good or better than the S3 now.
Im buying the s3 in 2 days and i dont care if it came out 3 years ago its still a top quality phone and the features are amazing and the s3 it will beat the iphone 5 by a mile

2022: Watching on my Galaxy S21 Ultra it's crazy to see how far Samsung phones have evolved over the past decade. I do miss the old design language with the physical home button and the notification LED.

lol I am getting an s4 after having this s3 for like 4 years. S7 is out, but im on a budget. my s3 is very laggy and doesn't even charge anymore. I definitely got my use out of it.
