    I adore Bart to this day. "The Edge" was his crowning achievement. Nowadays movies mostly have CG bears and they suck; can't compare to the real thing.

    For a captive animal he is pretty lean (especially in the legs, they are massive!). 9'6 and 1500lb's of awesomeness. Great video

    OG Bart passed away a few yr's back but he was a powerhouse,There is a Bart Jr and a Female called Honey bump.The trainer raised these Bears from about 8 weeks old.Bart jr and the Female lost there mother because of some Idiot shooting her before he seen the cub's so they were offered to this trainer,i think one of the best. OG Bart was smarter then a German Shepard Dog without a doubt.There's many videos on You tube about his other Grizzly's.

    I didn't believe a human and a bear could be friends, especially like this. But this just amazes me and fills my heart, knowing that humans and other animals except for cats and dogs can be friends for life.

    • @dayman152
      @dayman152 4 года назад

      No he hasnt been mauled. Being that this guy is very knowledgeable has 45 years experience and doesnt look at these bears as pets. Thats why morons die. They dont respect the animal for what they are

      Being well fed and carefully handled by a pro helps. I know two people who had bears as "pets" where things went terribly wrong. One Black Bear ate a 5 year old boy in front of his family.

    Soooo cool !!! I was watching "White Fang" earlier and when the big bear scene was going on it triggered an old memerie from when i was very young (like 5 or 6), of seeing some stuff about Bart on Disc. channel, particularly the Brad Pitt stuff, and the name 'Bart the Bear' finally came to my mind. I still don't know if it was Bart in White Fang but, either way i'm glad the thought led me back to these videos. RIP Bart.

  • @Rosalesc84
    @Rosalesc84 9 лет назад +15

    It's all about energy and frequency my friends. This bear and this man the energy is from the same source. The bear of course has the physical advantage but when you understand the physical body is nothing more than a vessel for the energy (soul) inside you will understand you are one with all things. That's what the native americans were so good at. This is understanding at its purest. Peace and love to all.

    • @Rosalesc84
      @Rosalesc84 9 лет назад +3

      Wow. You are full of negative energy and such hate to someone you don't even know. Normally I wouldn't respond to such a hateful and angry comment but the reptilians have harvested your energy and I truly hope you learn to open your mind and confront the ones who have been assigned to terminate you. I was once very angry like you but once I learned some valuable information I decided the reptilians have fed off me enough and I would never let them do it again. I hope you make the same decision too. Good day

    When I see him rough-housing with the trainer, and even play fighting and biting him, I think of the video of the polar bears playing with the sled dogs--it seems bears definitely understand "play" and seek it with others who understand it.

    Yes, I love the positive reinforcement he uses with Bart. I love what the Vital Ground Foundation does to buy and preserve bear habitat. These bears are intelligent -- I am glad they don't use grizzlies in any circuses i've ever known. I feel bad for the tigers and lions, tho.

    Not that I like to see wild animals being domesticated, but you can tell the owner really cares about this bear. Just by the way he talks to it, he's very sincere, you can feel his passion in his voice. How do I know that, because I spend a lot of time around animals and raise them from babies and I know what kind of bond that can happen, its very deep!

    Amazing and beautiful. I'm still stumped on why the bear would even respond to his commands in ways like it actually understood the MEANINGS behind the commands. Since when does a bear listen to a human and "comprehend English" to understand what "Sit down" means? ( 4:43 ) And even posthumously? ( 4:48 ) And what part of a bear's brain has a good enough understanding of what a "bed" relates to to react to the command "Go to bed?" ( 4:56 )
    I think there's so much we don't know it's almost funny.

    @TithonusSyndrome I know exactly what you mean. It's just amazing to see such a legendary animal preform with such passion. The way he sorta gets frustrated when he doesn't get it right, proves that grizzlies share all of the same emotions that people do. Someone should add Bart to the famous Diner pic of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean and Humphrey Bogart.
