I’m currently planning my classic daily driver. A tremec 5 speed is a MUST. I’m fed up with my new truck and I’m going back old school. Old school or no school at all 👍. A 5 speed and holly efi system will make a fantastic daily. Will either be a 64-72 Chevy or a 64-66 Ford. Whichever I come across for the right price and condition. In my mind Fords and Chevy are on the same team. I love them both!
I just bought a 71 F100 off eBay. I had to go to North Carolina to get it. The seller said it was driveable but his definition of what that is and mine is different. He agreed to trailer it to me. It's got a 5-speed manual transmission in it but several of the gears won't stay in gear and pop out. Next take it to a tranny shop and get it taken care of. Body is in fair shape with some cancer in the front fenders but I expected that of a truck 51 years old.
I'm a Ford Guy and I'm totally impressed... My dad had a 71 f 100 it was Boxwood green with a 302 ..3 on the tree as Well.. It was a long bed.. I remember he paid about 2600 bucks back then... It just goes to show You ..."Never judge a book by its cover"... 🇺🇸👍✌
I'm a Dodge and Chevy guy but I would love to have me an old Ford likethat just because it would make me feel very good to have all three names under my list of trucks
@@michaelwest9482 esp with a 390 ,hard to find. there is a station wagon up here from Texas at a garage.id love to have it !! 390 in it .id put it in a 1966 F100 for sure .302,289,351,390,427,460. badass engines
This is definitely one of the best videos that I've seen. Crystal clear. One hell of a truck. I have a 2019 Roush Nitemare but...... I would gladly have bought this before I bought my Roush if I saw this first, and it was for sale. I have always loved that old school look and these older F100's are made for the exact set up that you did on this truck. I loved this video so much, I just subscribed.

I have always liked the 302. If you have the right gearing in trans and rear, you can get alot of power out of them

@@happyfreeliferc I have a 67' f100. It had a 302/auto when I bought it. Now its a 408 windsor/tko600 manual trans. Its definitely a blast to drive!

SWEET, Love it. I had a 69 custom cab yrs ago.White, black wheels. Replace the 240 inline 6 with a 302. Coulda been its twin.
