It will be a 307 due to the .040" over bore. My 351 windsor's stroke is .50" and .040" over bore for 408 cubic inches and brings a ton of torque and wild H.P. to my poor rear tires on my '68 Mustang GT.

This setup is going to be so sick. I'm a newer subscriber, but going back and watching how far this truck has come is amazing. I started for the Fox (I have an SN95 with the 5.0), but this is becoming my new favorite.
I can't wait to see this build. A high RPM windsor is going to be so bad ass! Makes me miss my old Windsor's. That being said, after all the issue's you've had, all the work, the cost of all the machining, man hours, etc. I don't think I'd do this build myself. my opinion. A coyote swap would probably be about the same cost, all said and done, and make similar power. I hope I'm wrong, and this Winsor makes almost 600hp. A very sick build, and a much better "cool" factor then a coyote swap for sure though.
I definitely appreciate all the work your putting into this truck honestly it's reignited the fire I've had for these old trucks, I do have a question for you though 68 f100 351w 4 speed short step bed 5500 good buy??

He didn't do anything to the Lightning that can't be undone. Vehicles are expression of the owners taste wether anyone else agrees or not. I've owned quite a few classic muscle cars and not many of them remained stock. However I didn't cut up the bodies or chassis or floors or threw away any interior pieces. I built a 428cj with domed TRW pistons, high lift/long duration solid camshaft, Mallory ignition. Ran on aviation gas and drove it to work fairly often and very reliable. A long duration camshaft will not produce as much vacuum for a booster for power brakes. Hydro boost solves that problem.

Might be a dumb question but looks like it’s running a lot of electric stuff, is there gonna be a secondary battery or a battery tender hooked up to it when it’s off?
