- On 7. June 2022 Dr Julia Shaw celebrated the release of her book "Bi: The hidden culture, history, and science of bisexuality" at the British Library. This was her opening speech.
Julia Shaw is a criminal psychologist at UCL, BBC science presenter, and the author of multiple books. She also has a master's degree in Queer History.
In this short talk, she covers many bi topics, including the history and definition of bisexuality, research on hypersexualisation, bisexual asylum seekers, and how most bisexual people see their sexuality is a gift.

I'm 3/4 of the way through your book. Great job. I highly recommend it. I've had good conversations so far with my wife on some of the subjects you covered. It's nice to connect a face and voice to an author. Now when I read, I'll be able to read it with your voice in my head. Peace.

Bisexual means you have homosexual (same sex) and heterosexual (opposite sex) tendencies. You still end up with two binaries, male and female.
your assessment assumes the existence of a gender binary. Shaw is saying that that is not an exclusive definition.

Christians always talk about the Bible as if it's sacred, uniquely the will and words of Gods, but after 2 milleniums of Christianity, many bad translations, other religions also believing in the singular entity known as God, them having their own sacred text containing "God's words. Can you not see that it probably is a test of your faith like many things in life, if God wanted you to know their will, the book would be indestructible and the pages could be read by anyone anywhere. As an Atheist, I must say that all this talk of printable books knowing what God wants, it sounds like pure heresy.
@@rogerdavito7479did you know they're no atheist demons? Even the demons know who Jesus is and are aware of His judgment. So being atheist is the worst belief when your just being lazy spiritually. I mean atheist still do studies like this channel about embracing evil and homosexuality, it's like being an atheist and wearing a necklace to ward off bad spirits, doesn't make any sense because where do you think those bad spirits come from? The greatest deception is the devil saying he doesn't exist, and yet it's happening right in front of you, you just stick your head in the ground hoping it goes away.. But it's still there, just like Jesus is still there, whether you believe it or not 🤷🏽♂️
