  • Hey everyone, in this video we strapped in the GNSS performance analyzer to track how fast our Bandit VXL can actually go! We put on a fresh set of stock tires, 35T pinion, and velcroed the body to the chassis for less drag. Stay tuned because we plan on BEATING THIS SPEED!

    I have a feeling that the 2 of you are full of humility. Your way of talking and acting, very humble.

      That’s awesome, you’ll enjoy it a lot. Always remember if you plan on high speed runs to pace yourself. Make a pass or two then check the motor temperature. We run a 31T pinion with a 76T spur. Higher gears, braking hard after a pass, and slow braking all cause excessive heat.

    Gotta keep that front end down. Put some weight in front that mite help get to 70mph

      Weights come off, too fast. In the process of adding splitter or bumper to help with aerodynamics.

    14 mm hex adapters, Hoons belted tires & ballooning will go away. Nice run , fellas .!

    The two things I noticed right away, the drivers side front shock is missing the spring retainer tainer, and the wheelie bar should have the rubber tires or the rubber slip ons. Fun Video, good job!! Subscribed

      We have some plans for speed runs this summer. Better wheelie bar, and different motor/ESC combo.

      We will be trying different things to increase the speed. But we want to hit 70 MPH with the bandit stock.

      Tape a line 1/2" down back of spoiler & same on both sides & cut top excess off. Works better , maintains a stock look.

    Air going under would make it float , less friction on the ground therefore faster

    Take the spoiler off you don t need it in straight line and it create drag

    I have the bandit and the stock tires suck but if you change them it is pretty nice in my opinion but. I personally don't need to go 70 mph or really want to but if you want to I can see why that is quite annoying. But really if I'm honest I'ts a great rc car.

      Very true, we love doing speed runs for you guys. It’s such a nice buggy off road, very universal and dependable.

      Good idea, less weight, but I’ve tried no wing it becomes very uncontrollable

    Traxxas should be sued - false claim of 70+ stock out of the box - they don’t even make the suggested 33 t pinion and you guys ran a 35! - I know it can do 70 but ANY car can with the right mods

    • @redbanditracing
      @redbanditracing  Год назад +2

      Your right, they advertise 70 mph with a 33T but don’t offer that pinion. And with a 35T it still barely hits 70. Most RC cars would of past that speed. You can’t keep that front end down, I’ve tried weight which helps, but slows the car down a little. Even tried the wing mod.

      Depends on the battery (mah and c rating) and 35t might be overgeared. I'd run a 120c minimum battery (5ah)
