    Good vid. That wheelie bar turned up actually looks good 👍. Had mine for about a year.. Loosing/breaking E-clips of the front of the tie bar when you crash are darn annoying and its really hard to find replacement bags of the Traxxas E-clips downunder for some reason.

    I bought a Bandit VXL slider from Ebay and put in a Hobbywing XR10 Just Stock ESC and Hobbywing 21.5t motor and a Savox 1258 servo. My son has a blast with this car. Sure it's not a competition level buggy, but it's very durable and he had a blast running it.

    I just got a Bandit VXL and really like that little beast. But I did not expect the tires too wear that fast. Ordered the Anacondas, but 50€ for one wheelset seems overpriced (Traxxas stuff is expensive here in Europe).
    So I am thinking that next time I will add tandard hex nuts to the axles and buy cheaper tires. Does anyone have a recommendation for a cheaper 2.2“ buggy tire or wheel for general purpose use and at a reasonable pricepoint?

    I think some practice with feathering the throttle could help in prolonging the life of the parts. There are not a lot of tires that can take the RPMs needed to push that car to 70MPH especially when its diffing out. You may want to change the diff oil to help with that as well. I am sure you have figured out by now how expensive it gets to have to replace parts after every run.

    • @berbandis
      @berbandis 3 года назад +2

      @@Scrammy18 my grand father would say to tighten the nut behind the wheel, or in this case the controller. Its fun to push things to the max but you have to pay for it (tires being a major part of that expense) if you can hold back a little it will save you a lot of money. It takes practice though, I had to fix my first e-revo every time I drove it but today with my new e-revo 2.0 I have run it 4 times so far and have not had to replace anything. Belted tires can help but they are more expensive I just paid $145 for a set for my e-revo.

      what exactly do you mean? If you are looking for the Anaconda tires you just need to be sure youre buying them for the Bandit. Should be able to find them on Amazon. Also fronts and rears are different so make sure not to buy 4 fronts or 4 rears on accident lol.

      @@Scrammy18 I’m new to Rc cars so is that basically what happened to the tire that’s on it now with the foam coming out? Is there anyway to fix that or no?

    • @Scrammy18
      @Scrammy18  3 года назад +1

      Well mine wasn’t necessarily the foams coming out but around the rim the glue was letting go. Eventually if the glue completely come off or the tire ripped the foam would come out. A lot of tires come vented but only on the inside. That means water/sand etc can get in and the when you throttle it the particles or water push the tire out and can cause it to let go. Water gets absorbed by the foam and then its go late basically. Early signs are a tire imbalance. You can remedy this in a couple ways. You can cover your inner vents or plug them. Easiest thing to do. Cover them with some gorilla tape of sorts and periodically check on the tape. The best would be to also vent the outside of the tire which is the best venting because if stuff gets it’s the outside vent means it will shoot out from there. It’s a little more involved to vent them on the outside but if done right works way better. You could also just buy non vented tires entirely. It’s a preference thing. Some people swear by non vented tires and others despise them. I’ve used them all and with the correct care they all work but eventually they all wear out.

    These things are very cheap quality. I had a VXL Bandit, with the 2S LIPO battery, only used it in sand (we have lots of that here in the AZ desert) did not run it at full speed, only rolled it a couple of times, never jumped it or hit anything with it, in less than a year almost everything had broken. The wing broke the first time it rolled, at fairly low speed, the tires came apart, the cheap plastic steering and suspension parts broke. I don't know how much money you put in that thing for actual aluminum parts, shocks and tires, but to me the car just isn't worth it. It's barely above toy grade.

    • @Scrammy18
      @Scrammy18  12 дней назад

      The tires are the only thing that consistently blow out. Sand will definitely screw it up. I have spent too much for random metal upgrades but it’s just for fun over time so I don’t take it as a huge loss or anything.
