Surprised about the NVH, I found Corolla to be noisy, however my Mazda 3 AWD GT feels very quiet on the road, all noise is very well absorbed but Mazda has improved substantially since deciding to take things upmarket.
I have a 20 Ltd with the 2.5. changed out the tires to Michelin sport pilot all seanson 4. Mine is quiet. As far as a tin can. Subarus are very safe. If anything Toyota's and Honda's prior to the 23 model year for Honda are tin cans

the giant tablet in the subaru legacy is not great. hvac controls should always be physical

I agree. Subarus have been noisy for decades. It's the way they save wight. They are tin cans. Honda and Toyota are very solid by comparison.
